The wing foil boards are moving to fast displacement hulls instead of planning hulls. Also moving into narrow width + longer to keep same volume to get into foiling quicker (in less wind conditions and/or to lift with smaller foils) .....
windsurf boards still look like fin boards

Indeed, the wind foil boards evolved into something different from wind boards. The trend (length over width) is mostly true in downwinder SUPs and wing boards.
