At least during MC's reign we fans had MX to speculate who was gonna win. RC didn't even give us that. Every year, we'd hear the "well, this new guy or that more talented guy is blah blah blah and RC has shown he can't do that...." talk. Then, RC would race the first moto of the season, grab an even bigger handful, and squash that theory under his boot like a bug.

Don't remember motorcycling being rocked by the Suzuki DR350. Must have been asleep.
Back in the day, that air cooled 350 with a 440 kit in it, was a beast to race in the scrambles.
