    Marcelina, thank you for that. My Meyer Lemon plant was infected with the "Greasy Spot" disease. I am treating it and removing the diseased leaves. Great information.

      your welcome,, most people think they have a deadly disease when they get the greasy spot. Just keep removing the infected leaves, treat with neem oil which helps control and eradicate the fungus. Get rid of all infected leaves that you pic, ,dont let it set on the soil of your plant, Dispose of it immediately or it will just keep reinfecting your plants. Fungus sucks!

      Thank you so much, I just came across your video on TH-cam and I never even realized that was what was wrong with my citrus. It happens every winter all the leaves die after they turn yellow and spotted and then they come back when I put them outside. I feel empowered to treat it now

    With this can you also change the soil when treating with the neem oil, and bring in the house?

    • @marcelinanoss8825
      @marcelinanoss8825  ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally i prefer to use a potting mix rather than soil because there are a lot of bacteria, and or fungus in soil. You can treat the soil with Neem and spray the roots as well. Fungus gnats can thrive inside you home as well,, I would think something is going on with your soil, Good to replace and wash your roots well, spray with Neem and repot! :)

    So can I use neem oil to treat greasy spot on a flowering lemon tree? This is the first time I’ve heard of neem as a treatment for greasy spot, I hope I can use it tonite, since my tree is in bloom and I can’t use copper fungicide on it at this time- the copper is supposed to be toxic to bees.

    • @marcelinanoss8825
      @marcelinanoss8825  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes you can use it but you need to use some kind of dish detergent to emulsify the neem and use warm water . Spry the undersides of you citrus which is where the greasy spot grows, Treat it once a week until the diseased leaves either fall off of the bacteria is gone,

    • @marcelinanoss8825
      @marcelinanoss8825  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the good news is, you can! :) here is a list to look for. 1, underwatering 2. root bound, 3 fertilize it with a good citrus fertilizer. and offer it some good Magnesium sulfate. Try to find a good pot that allows the roots to breath,

      Thanks for this useful information, Marcelina. I think my young calamondin may have this. It's a young one purchased this year, up potted to 1 gallon pot this summer. No blooms yet. I have neem oil and will try a thorough top and bottom spray and repeat weekly. Should I remove diseased leaves? If neem oil does the trick, will the mottled leaves ever green up? Thanks again. Glad I found you. I grow citrus in containers in 7b in Delaware.

    Fix you soil and/or environment and you plant will be fine. Spreading dis ease is pretend

    • @marcelinanoss8825
      @marcelinanoss8825  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      not true Matthew. many diseases are airborne and waterborne such as fungus and flying insects. Soil will not prevent flying insects that spread diseases and other problems,, Soil is just one of the issues you must consider.
