This was just a test project and is not safe to try to build. the voltage was too high at 120v ac. I have almost finished a universal pressure swing adsorb full 8 cycle and works on 12vdc. Just got to get it to work at 110 psi for tests. I built and coded a new control panel and have a remote air compressor. New one is safer and bigger. I have only so much time for this but will try to make a four part some what how to do If you like. 1. build. 2. wire 3. build control box and 4. program it open source.
@@Dmanbynski this has lots of potential to be a useful technology, these are for sale but fairly low output and with more cycles and a bigger zeolite container you could really produce lots of 02! Very valuable medically!
thanks for posting, also looking into zeolite and finding various sources for various uses. Hard to clarify what is suitable. Im thinking Id like to make a big capacity unit with far larger sieve tanks and a greater output..
Use 13x if your doing pressure swing absorption. 5A might get some results, but better sieve equals higher concentrations. Also its not exactly the size of the tanks(mind you have to pressurize each one and exhaust it which takes longer in a bigger tank) but higher pressure achieved to force more nitrogen into the molecular sieve.

@@Dmanbynski My target is to increase the dissolve oxygen level in the water. After mechanical and biological filtration I want to increase the dissolve oxygen in the water before transferring the water to the fish tank.
If I'm not mistaken, that should be a single piston compressor probably in the 1/2HP range providing up to say 15L/min at 60psi. Airbrush compressors are very similar.
Hello. It is called zeolite and can be found at a chemical supply. It comes in many forms for different applications. I used zeolite 5a for this project but was told zeolite 13x is best for O2. you just have to remember to bake it in the oven for a few hours to get the water out of it first.
@@Dmanbynski I checked the price of 13x - not as bad as I thought - $60 for 5lbs - seems it would get to be on short supply with the problems in India - One of the youtube videos has what looked like a 5 gallon bucket he purchased - 500 for the Zeolite and 400 for the shipping - $1,000 seems outside the resources of the typical enthusiast ...

Oxygen generators and concentrators are the same thing. The medical field uses the term concentrator. Generators are anything else like welding or ozone generation.
@@Dmanbynski not really. An oxygen generator actually makes oxygen. An example would be an oxygen candle, which generates oxygen by burning an oxygen-rich compound. These are used in air planes (when the oxygen mask falls from the ceiling, there is an oxygen candle that is ignited to supply the oxygen). So, in every sense of the word, PSA technology is a concentrating method, not a generating method. At the end of the process, you have exactly the same amounts of oxygen, nitrogen and other trace gases, as you did before you started.... the only difference is concentration!

It is all still in test mode and not fully tested yet so and hold ups is just that. this is just a hobby for me now.
