Rammstein - 2017 Summer Tour // Fails and funny moments

- This video contains most of the moments I deemed worthy. Each channel whose video(s) I've used are shown during that specific moment, along with some personal notes or context about what's happening in the clip, the song and the concert. If there are moments that I did not include it's because:
- I didn't find good enough footage (if at all);
- I simply missed it (if you have these kinds, leave them in the comments and I'll pin them if they're worthy).
Small note: the video is in 1440p50 because I wanted to offer more bitrate for the people who actually care. I would have rendered it in 1080p25 normally, but last year's video looked pretty bad.
Further notes:
- TQP - the term "bateristo" doesn't exist; it should be "baterista" (same for male and female)
- TQP - "saltar mucho" should be "saltad mucho" (imperative form)
- I know it's Festival de Nîmes (small letter "d"), but I realised way too late, so I decided to leave it like that.
- FiP - "Vous-êtes encore plus?" doesn't make sense; it literally means "Are you even more?"

Rammstein rule #1: The drummer is never out of time or sync. Ever.
Easy when you are miming to back tracks for most of, how do you think the sound of his snare changes for different songs when he isn't playing an electric kit?
@@andishawjfac So fkin stupid it hurts. First off, he has his kit filled with electric pads, so there's that. He has at least two PD8s on both sides of his main snare. His side snare is tuned differently, and BOTH SNARES AND ALL TOMS including the massive gong have Roland RT 30 triggers on them.

To all you new R+ fans, when Till throws or breaks something it 1000% is because something didn't work correctly with the props
Till is a man who believes the fans deserve everything they pay for. These guys love their fans with a passion and Till gets upset when he can't deliver his promises, which is totally understandable. Shit happens, R+

Rammstein is the only band in the world whose show I went to attend. Loved every single minute of it. Thanks to them I managed to go through high school.

40:20 I was at that show. It was a bit windy that day. So all the pyro was going sideways. Even the confetti in Amerika went to the other side. Great show regardless :)

Quite surprised by amount of playback used... Kind of reality check. On the other hand, in many cases we can see that everything breaks down (including Till) when mike fails. But sight of Flake running to start matching sound in "Ich Will" was hilarious 🤣

OMG i had Rammstein on autoplay, noticed the subtitles, shrugged them off (sorry haha) but paid attention finally and again, this is the cherry on the cherry on top! I love stuff like this made by fans for fans
and you should totally get the recordings of Rammstein's gig in august 2019 in riga, latvia. you'll be amazed - like, negatively af, but yeah as I said.. this is what Rammstein became.
I think that when in Zerstoren Till takes off his dress earlier was meant to be a gag, i think that it was meant that he couldn't take it anymore of all of that noise of Richard's guitar(in the song context, so that the character of the song cannot take it anymore), so he was trying to make him explode with him, at least i think, but aside of this you have done a wonderful job man, keep it up!

They played Frühling in Paris 99 times total. 2 of them were during the concerts that were filmed for the Rammstein: Paris DVD. The rest were played at concerts around the world. So your claim that it was the first time Frühling in Paris was played outside Paris is incorrect. Great Video
What I meant was "the first time it was played outside of Paris after the LIFAD promotional tour" (so since the "tradition" of playing the songs of specific cities/regions in those specific cities/regions) and I can see how wrong I made it sound like. My apologies, you are right. After the LIFAD Tour, it was only played in 2012 (during the MIG Tour) and in 2016 (at Download Festival), both of which were in Paris. And, of course, last year in Nimes.
Apart from that, I have to correct you on 2 things: I think you mean Rammstein in Amerika, not Rammstein:Paris, when they played it in Montreal and New York. If you did indeed mean R:P, I fail to see why you would include that statement there, since it is not correcting me or in disagreement with my words (R:P was filmed in Paris and those were the only 2 dates of the MIG Tour when FiP was played).
The second thing is: the song was played ~116 times, which is about 20% more than what you said. www.setlist.fm/stats/rammstein-3bd43cd0.html
Regarding the Frühling in Paris part in Nîmes, this is from the 2017 tour, FIP was played in Amerika as shown in the Rammstein in Amerika DVD. Which was Filmed in 2010. So that was not the first time it was played outside or Paris. Just to put that out there. I do love the video tho and great moments and highlights. I was at the Las Vegas, NV show and remember those moments at T-Mobile arena! Thanks for uploading this!

@Gergő Pócz Thanks, I added it to the list! I missed it because, for the concert on the 29th, I only used one video (now deleted, th-cam.com/video/OCsDH3VjoFg/w-d-xo.html ) and it was zoomed out during that part, so I didn't see; I also thought nothing interesting would happen at that moment.

I WISH I could find a video of Ohne Dich from Download 2016... the guitar tech managed to route Richards acoustic guitar into one of his high gain Triple Rectifier amp heads instead of directly to the sound desk, so when he started playing you got a wall of distorted acoustic guitar! Paul absolutely lost his shit, and couldn't stop laughing, and eventually Richard gave up and stopped playing until it was fixed!
Bit disappointed to see Flake not playing stuff which he can physically play though... I can understand him not playing parts which aren't possible to play by hand (sequenced) or the choir/solo in Du hast... the choir part takes two hands, so he can either play the choir or the solo, not both... but to not play the intro to Ich Will is a bit much. Same for vocals, I understand having the backing vocals as playback, because the original has 6+ vocals layered in a weird harmony. Shame really, I'd defend him normally being a disciple of Flake's keyboard work... I suppose he always has had the attitude of "electronics and rock music don't really work, I just try it and hope for the best" , and "no one would really notice it if I as just playback". Still a shame.

I know what are you talking about man i play Rammstein songs on keyboard too with samples and sometimes i feel like Flake could do better tan just put audio files with a key, however, he is an amazing keyboardist
And maybe he will have more prescence in this new album, who knows :v

Olli, I wish you went even longer on your outro. Seemann is my favorite bass riff as of now, more than Rush, Tool, and Primus combined and for Till to get frustrated by your playing just shows his lack of appreciation for having such a variety of options for outros, each original and each better than the one previous

That part where he "gave up trying to hide the playback" is not very accurate. There's a delay effect added to his vocal to give it more body on those sustained notes. You can even hear it sometimes when he uses shorter notes like when he says "kalt" at 19:30.
