Bhikku Bhodi is far the most influential western monk we have in the world in spreading Buddha's compassion message to the western world. He is so inspirational and honourable monk.
So greatful to have heard these recordings. The interview was calm, friendly, and inspiring. Was just wondering about Bhikku Boddhi's cronic headaches, if they had ended after all these years. Would have also liked to know his time in Bengaluru and his meeting with Bhante Buddharakita? Thank you for also mentioning Mitgefühl in Aktion. Wasn't aware of a sister branch in Germany Sukhi Hotu 🙏🏽
Thank you for your kind reply and for putting up with my poor English. I would also like to know more, but didn't want to take up Bhante's time. BB's headaches are unfortunately chronic.
The interviewer asks his questions like Bhikkhu Bodhi was like an old-old person who cannot communicate well. Or is it just because of the german accent and that he tries to articulate well his words? It feels strange. But I like the concept of the video so I will probably watch it through anyway.
The interviewer apologizes for his shortcomings in English. In fact, he is a disciple of Bhante and respects him very much. He is sorry if it came across as inappropriate.

Indeed!

A good Monk to interview would be Ajahn Martin

@@Buddha-Talk Meanwhile I've watched the whole video and after the start it becomes better :)
Maybe it was just the long introduction.
@@Buddha-Talk BTW I really want to see a picture now about young Bhikkhu Bodhi with a beard. It has to exist somewhere :P
@@Ordo1980 Yes, that would be nice, but Bhante said, he has no picture from that time.
German people speak directly and properly, and are not like Americans.
