I worked as an on air personality at a hard rock/heavy metal radio station during the early to mid to late 80s in Southern California. Yes, I was a DJ for 5 years. I remember playing Duran Duran, although we didn't get a whole lot of requests for their music. Maybe you can get a better sense of why I attempt to impart my musical knowledge upon you. hint --- try to avoid youtube's blackout screen by creating your own logo brand and use multiples of these logos on top of your viewing scrreen ... this will avoid youtube's policies on screening one of their videos banned by the video's brand that owns the screen's rights ... try it and see ... thus far -- it's being blurred out by youtube .... as for the video -- I believe the singer is off-key .... I'm a rocker and this band sucks .. this was happening when a lot of boy bands (Duran Duran) started to learn how to play instruments -- mainly because the ticket sales were dropping big time on all singer only bands .. another example are The Four Seasons and another one are the Association ..... the videos on MTV was a big factor on the music industries on all levels ... BTW -- LiveAid was produced and directed by MTV corp .....
