As someone who lives in Melbourne, 55 dollars for all that food seems about right. However, the Australian dollar isnt worth as much as the American dollar, so it comes to around 36 American dollars. And yes, there are so many amazing places to eat in the city, you are going to love it here!

You should try the following from Katik Turkish Take Away, 349 Barry Rd, Campbellfield: 1. Double Adana wrap with all salads, garlic sauce and chilli sauce. 2. Mixed doner kebab with extra meat, all salads, garlic sauce and chilli sauce. 3. Lamb Iskender container. Best kebabs in Melbourne!

You made the right call going to Melbourne as far as food culture goes. Don't get me wrong, as a Sydney-sider myself, the food culture has really progressed here quite a lot the last decade, but Melbourne is still king.
