Lilt is one of my favourite drinks and the zero sugar is still one of my top drinks of all time. It is still going strong! It has been rebranded though to Fanta Pineapple & Grapefruit, so if you have a hankering for Lilt look out for that Fanta Pineapple & Grapefruit.

Jam, ham, egg, whatever but one thing. This modern idea of lettuce, condiment, tomato, pickles, two kinds of meat etc etc, thats a very recent import over here.

I dunno in the late 90s early 2000s when I grew up I still saw 2-3 ingredients sandwiches. Ham and cheese/lettuce/cuccumer/tomato. Tuna sweetcorn. Chicken and bacon/stuffing, bacon and egg or sausage and egg. Corned beef and hp sauce. Ham cheese and pickle. Fish fingers and lettuce and tarter.

I am SO SORRY to disappoint you but you HAVE TO GO BACK to Greggs and try their tomato soup. It also has a big big cult following, I am not english, I am NOT a fan of shitty cooking, but their tomato soup is SO GOOD....I'm crying a little bit right now, just thinking about it.

When i was a kid i remember Greggs only being available in the north of the UK, i lived down south but used to go to Newcastle every Yr and a visit to Greggs for a sausage roll was a must

Please do some out and about food vids in the UK or even some food reviews and then a talk on your trip after or a talk on the background of the food (up to 1000 year heritage for some foods) before eating , there are so many british foods to try but it would mean changing the format somewhat. Who knows it might work? Uk fans could provide lots of supporting info.
Having worked for Greggs. Bacon egg and sausage is the move. However buying bacon and sausage sandwich and a croissant to swap the roll out for the croissant is elite haha. The egg omelettes do have cheese in them but you'll probably not taste it
Greggs is made for and championed by the working class in Britain. Builders on their way to work dont want or need a fancy breakfast sandwich. Quick, simple, cheap and tasty is all we want. Greggs provides that.
The Lion bar back in the day , came in one big bar that you broke in half , and the caramel that connected the 2 pieces represented the fangs of a lion . As for the buttys brown or HP sauce on everything except ...red sauce , Ketchup, Catsup, on sausage buttys or fishfinger buttys.
Not been in a greggs for a while but they used to have a vat of soup behind the counter & around this time of year they did a festive one used to hit different in the cold weather
English bacon is not 100% belly fat pork. its the loin with a bit of the belly on the end - made into one slice. kinda the best of both worlds for a lot of situations but pure belly pork bacon, streaky bacon is fire and better for layering burgers.

You need to try Belgian Buns. You can get them at a bakery like Greggs or the supermarket. A god tier dessert item.
