I don't usually like to be overreacting on the internet, if I say "lmao" or something like that it's bc actually I barked a laugh so loud I woke up my dogs and probably my neighbors. So when I say I found myself incapable of moving my eyes from the screen and started to cry like a river without making any sound and still like a statue, it's bc it happened exactly like that. The way you chose the scenes, no matter how brief they are, the way you TELL THINGS and not just choosing aesthetically cool scenes and a cool song to be paired with, the way you deconstructed everything into tiny tiny pieces and made this- this MOSAIC OF RAW FEELINGS- I have NO IDEA how someone can do this. I have no idea how could you be able to do this. How not only you have incredible skills, product of countless hours and hours and hard work. But how your brain could come with THIS [waves emphatically at vid] I'm just still reeling for so many emotions this piece of art made me feel in less than 6 min and I still haven't finished breakfast. I watched one episode of the next season and it just didnt feel right. And it makes me so sad that we couldnt see what Queliot could fully accomplish together. I really miss Quentin. I wish they would make like and alternate ending for us Queliot fans. Really would make the hole a little smaller
I was just thinking how it would be a great twist if, after establishing the post-Quentin status quo, Season 5 ends with his return due to some supernatural threat. Paving the way for Quentin and Eliot's reunion.
I wanted that so bad when it first happened and I still really do. But at the same time I feel like that would be really mean and cheapen the emotional impact. Then again I will probably be so friggin happy if they do it and go full Queliot that I won't even care about anything else.

Almost a year later, I'm still here. I've been watching this at like .. regularly occuring intervals, lol, like some sort of ritual. This edit is sacred to me, and it still as powerful and magnetic and heartbreaking as the first time I watched it.

Thank you for all the parallels they were the two most broken people and they made each other whole, they just fit so well together. so i've watched this four times now, and every single time I am so thoroughly pulled in by the rhythm of the music as it perfectly matches the scenes, the voiceovers that line up in ways that I never thought of before ("my life, it doesn't work"/"us, we work" (FUCK)) and I know I'll be watching this vid countless more times. ever since the season four finale, I was so hurt and disappointed that I have tried to forget I ever liked this show. but in this, you've made something far greater than the show could ever be. you tapped into exactly what everyone loved about this relationship and why it meant so much to so many people. so thank you for putting the time and effort into this and sharing it with others. it really is a catharsis I didn't know I needed.

I just found this for the first time, which is funny because recently I've been contemplating to rewatch the show. This masterpiece of yours is nothing less than perfection. The way you bring out the little moments that hold so much detail and emotion in it, and has put it together so it forms a complete story is incredible. Thank you for making this. I have no idea if I've ever actually left a youtube comment on this ever. But i was really into this fandom right in the clutches of 2018 to 2019. And i literally was so moved after watching this that i watched it again. And again. And again. I literally just saw it on my tumblr dashboard today and then went into my youtube search bar and "there is a door" is just in my history from me looking for this video. (I would in fact use it to help me cry sometimes no big deal lol) But god this really is just a work of art and people who were in the fandom do still talk about this piece and share it from time to time. Because our show may have gut punched us but boy did the fans make pretty mosaics out of that shattered mirror. Which is exactly what this video feels like

I mean, is there anything you can edit lousy or not enough? I doubt it. Transition from calm, simple picture to something big and anxious confusion and it's going and going and.... Never seen this show and have no idea who these characters are but this video was so BEAUTIFUL and enrapturing that I sat here for the full five minutes in awe. I'm now heartbroken because it seemed like that one guy ended up dying at the end 😭your editing is so subtle and I feel like it takes so much talent to put similar scenes & emotions together like that and complement them with sounds etc. i'm OFFENDED at how good this was
Hey, hun! ☺️ Huge Queliot shipper here! So...if you want some context...yeah. He did die (or if you ask a lot of fans, they’ll actually say that the writers had him commit suicide). Essentially, Eliot was possessed by a monster all season. And finally, in the season finale, they got the monster out of him. However...Q had to go to the Mirror Realm to throw the bottle containing the monster into The Seam. The entrance to The Seam is, well, a mirror. Everything was going fine....until a bad guy who was also in the Mirror Realm shattered the mirror entrance to The Seam. Now all magicians have a different discipline...and Q just found out toward the end of the season that his is Minor Mending-he can fix things. You’re not supposed to do magic in the Mirror Realm because it’ll just reflect all over the place and cause a massive explosion of power, etc. Basically, it’s bad. And Q knew this. But he needed to fix the mirror. So he did some minor mending and fixed it and he threw the monster into The Seam......but the spell began reflecting all over the place and he got caught in the crossfire. Eliot and Q never got to say hello or goodbye to each other because Eliot began bleeding out all over the place when they got the monster out of him and immediately needed surgery...and Q ran into the Mirror Realm to take care of the monster. Tragic doesn’t even cover it. 😞

Not just because thinking to Quentin's lost regularly make me feel like shit, not because I was despairing to see a new Queliot edit' ever again, but because your editing is... This is talent. Clearly. True, raw talent with perseverance and perfectionnism. And like, the good idea to split all the scenes and mix it in beautiful anachronism like a mosaic (like someone said in this comment thread), the scenes echos, the symbols, the mastering of silences... genius, art.
Oh my god. It feels like a ton of bricks are tied to my heart and pulling it down toward my stomach. My heart is UNBELIEVABLY heavy and a VERY flimsy dam is trying to hold back the tears that are building up behind my eyes right now. WOW. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. The ADORABLE and HEARTBREAKING parallels-both audibly and visually, both obvious and hidden. The AMAZING sound-mixing....the emotional swell of the music and lyrics to the agonizing moments of silence. (I don’t know if this was one song or several but everything about the backing track was BEYOND perfect.) The way you used certain lines and shots that may not have initially referred to their relationship....but when edited the correct with the right lines and shots that BEAUTIFULLY complimented them...just SHATTERED my heart. Q’s life was miraculous but painful. Eliot-who’s had MORE than his own fair share of pain-found a kindred spirit in Q. He found someone he could love unconditionally. He found a home. And now that home has been devastatingly ripped away from him and I can’t even imagine how he’s going to continue to face every new day. It truly pains me thinking about how empty and helpless he probably must be feeling. I hate more than anything that such a beautiful story has come to such a tragic ending. But life DOES and MUST go on......and I’ll be there watching over El......and making sure he’s living the life that Q would want him to live. Fuck, now I’m crying....... 😭💔

i say this a lot on edits because i just love these characters so much but genuinely this is the best thing i have ever seen, it is THE edit for me. Especially the end, i have watched that so many times. I actually came back now cause i was thinking about it and trying to look through all my other saved queliot edits, and i found it. That ending sequence is just so omg i just don’t have words it’s so good, the whole video is amazing but the tower and eliot regaining consciousness, the ‘it’s time to go’, all of the hand movements in the middle, ‘it’s gonna be fine’, don’t get me started about the mirrors i am screaming. He loves me, end of story. Gosh anyway i’m so late to this insane show but i love this with my whole heart thankyou!

i can't believe we almost didn't get to see this, given that it was an old, unfinished project. SARA. this is a triumph. i confess i haven't seen the show, but i am so absolutely enamored by this video. the song i have never heard before, but in less experienced hands i imagine it'd be a real feat trying to meet the demands of the structure and tonal shifts, yet you make it feel EFFORTLESS. i am just in love with 2:20- 2:54 and 3:53 - the end, especially. god, THE END. your choice of shots, the reversing, happier moments now melancholic, "peaches and plums, he loves me, he loves me not." the synthesis of all these small, individual details you think up just creates the most exquisite experience.. i think vidding is such an emotive outlet, akin to poetry in that sometimes it's less about what it means and more about how it makes you feel. a vid like this, to a show i don't know, i'm aware that lack of context changes the experience for me, that i'm missing out in ways but still i am present for the emotional journey. it's one i can understand and connect with and that's the real beauty of vidding when executed on this level. taking these scenes and characters and breathing new life into them, new context, new connections. i'm going to stop myself here because i've already gone on too long but just know that i am so happy to see you uploading more frequently again. i've missed your work, and vids like this one just remind me of the wealth of talent you possess and choose to share with us. This is, honest to God, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I'm not exagerating when I say that "The Magicians", the way it went, left me wounded for life. But since I've found this Masterpiece, whenever I'm in need of a good cry, I watch it. And I've really never managed to watch it without crying my eyes out - but in a cathartic kind of way. Because it's like You've made sense of it all, You presented it so heartbreakingly and beautifully it feels for me like religious experience. Nothing but admiration for Your great talent and the tenderness of Your soul. Personally, I am extremely grateful to You for making and sharing it, because it really helped me cope with the way it all ended, and how my once most beloved story betrayed my trust so horribly. And while I don't think I'll ever be able to rewatch "The Magicians", I come back to Your Video every once and then - because while it's still heartbreaking, it's also clear that it's done by someone who loves these characters, and knows how to tell a good story. Wow....so you know I don't watch The Magicians, I only know about Queliot through the fan videos I see on here. I love this style you're using (similar to your last multifandom one) where you're sort of telling a story into two parts. It's really satisfying to get to the end of the first half and realize there's still more to come. Based on what I've seen, it also looks like you're using clips and parallels in really new ways, and breathing new life into this story. This is really wonderful work, and you should be proud of it

so i've watched this four times now, and every single time I am so thoroughly pulled in by the rhythm of the music as it perfectly matches the scenes, the voiceovers that line up in ways that I never thought of before ("my life, it doesn't work"/"us, we work" (FUCK)) and I know I'll be watching this vid countless more times. ever since the season four finale, I was so hurt and disappointed that I have tried to forget I ever liked this show. but in this, you've made something far greater than the show could ever be. you tapped into exactly what everyone loved about this relationship and why it meant so much to so many people. so thank you for putting the time and effort into this and sharing it with others. it really is a catharsis I didn't know I needed.

The way you bring out the little moments that hold so much detail and emotion in it, and has put it together so it forms a complete story is incredible. Thank you for making this. I have no idea if I've ever actually left a youtube comment on this ever. But i was really into this fandom right in the clutches of 2018 to 2019. And i literally was so moved after watching this that i watched it again. And again. And again. I literally just saw it on my tumblr dashboard today and then went into my youtube search bar and "there is a door" is just in my history from me looking for this video. (I would in fact use it to help me cry sometimes no big deal lol)
But god this really is just a work of art and people who were in the fandom do still talk about this piece and share it from time to time. Because our show may have gut punched us but boy did the fans make pretty mosaics out of that shattered mirror. Which is exactly what this video feels like

Never seen this show and have no idea who these characters are but this video was so BEAUTIFUL and enrapturing that I sat here for the full five minutes in awe. I'm now heartbroken because it seemed like that one guy ended up dying at the end 😭your editing is so subtle and I feel like it takes so much talent to put similar scenes & emotions together like that and complement them with sounds etc. i'm OFFENDED at how good this was
Hey, hun! ☺️ Huge Queliot shipper here! So...if you want some context...yeah. He did die (or if you ask a lot of fans, they’ll actually say that the writers had him commit suicide). Essentially, Eliot was possessed by a monster all season. And finally, in the season finale, they got the monster out of him. However...Q had to go to the Mirror Realm to throw the bottle containing the monster into The Seam. The entrance to The Seam is, well, a mirror. Everything was going fine....until a bad guy who was also in the Mirror Realm shattered the mirror entrance to The Seam. Now all magicians have a different discipline...and Q just found out toward the end of the season that his is Minor Mending-he can fix things. You’re not supposed to do magic in the Mirror Realm because it’ll just reflect all over the place and cause a massive explosion of power, etc. Basically, it’s bad. And Q knew this. But he needed to fix the mirror. So he did some minor mending and fixed it and he threw the monster into The Seam......but the spell began reflecting all over the place and he got caught in the crossfire. Eliot and Q never got to say hello or goodbye to each other because Eliot began bleeding out all over the place when they got the monster out of him and immediately needed surgery...and Q ran into the Mirror Realm to take care of the monster. Tragic doesn’t even cover it. 😞

Oh my god. It feels like a ton of bricks are tied to my heart and pulling it down toward my stomach. My heart is UNBELIEVABLY heavy and a VERY flimsy dam is trying to hold back the tears that are building up behind my eyes right now. WOW. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
The ADORABLE and HEARTBREAKING parallels-both audibly and visually, both obvious and hidden. The AMAZING sound-mixing....the emotional swell of the music and lyrics to the agonizing moments of silence. (I don’t know if this was one song or several but everything about the backing track was BEYOND perfect.) The way you used certain lines and shots that may not have initially referred to their relationship....but when edited the correct with the right lines and shots that BEAUTIFULLY complimented them...just SHATTERED my heart.
Q’s life was miraculous but painful. Eliot-who’s had MORE than his own fair share of pain-found a kindred spirit in Q. He found someone he could love unconditionally. He found a home. And now that home has been devastatingly ripped away from him and I can’t even imagine how he’s going to continue to face every new day. It truly pains me thinking about how empty and helpless he probably must be feeling. I hate more than anything that such a beautiful story has come to such a tragic ending.
But life DOES and MUST go on......and I’ll be there watching over El......and making sure he’s living the life that Q would want him to live.

i say this a lot on edits because i just love these characters so much but genuinely this is the best thing i have ever seen, it is THE edit for me. Especially the end, i have watched that so many times. I actually came back now cause i was thinking about it and trying to look through all my other saved queliot edits, and i found it. That ending sequence is just so omg i just don’t have words it’s so good, the whole video is amazing but the tower and eliot regaining consciousness, the ‘it’s time to go’, all of the hand movements in the middle, ‘it’s gonna be fine’, don’t get me started about the mirrors i am screaming. He loves me, end of story. Gosh anyway i’m so late to this insane show but i love this with my whole heart thankyou!

i can't believe we almost didn't get to see this, given that it was an old, unfinished project. SARA. this is a triumph. i confess i haven't seen the show, but i am so absolutely enamored by this video. the song i have never heard before, but in less experienced hands i imagine it'd be a real feat trying to meet the demands of the structure and tonal shifts, yet you make it feel EFFORTLESS. i am just in love with 2:20- 2:54 and 3:53 - the end, especially. god, THE END. your choice of shots, the reversing, happier moments now melancholic, "peaches and plums, he loves me, he loves me not." the synthesis of all these small, individual details you think up just creates the most exquisite experience.. i think vidding is such an emotive outlet, akin to poetry in that sometimes it's less about what it means and more about how it makes you feel. a vid like this, to a show i don't know, i'm aware that lack of context changes the experience for me, that i'm missing out in ways but still i am present for the emotional journey. it's one i can understand and connect with and that's the real beauty of vidding when executed on this level. taking these scenes and characters and breathing new life into them, new context, new connections. i'm going to stop myself here because i've already gone on too long but just know that i am so happy to see you uploading more frequently again. i've missed your work, and vids like this one just remind me of the wealth of talent you possess and choose to share with us. I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.

This is, honest to God, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I'm not exagerating when I say that "The Magicians", the way it went, left me wounded for life. But since I've found this Masterpiece, whenever I'm in need of a good cry, I watch it. And I've really never managed to watch it without crying my eyes out - but in a cathartic kind of way. Because it's like You've made sense of it all, You presented it so heartbreakingly and beautifully it feels for me like religious experience. Nothing but admiration for Your great talent and the tenderness of Your soul. Personally, I am extremely grateful to You for making and sharing it, because it really helped me cope with the way it all ended, and how my once most beloved story betrayed my trust so horribly. And while I don't think I'll ever be able to rewatch "The Magicians", I come back to Your Video every once and then - because while it's still heartbreaking, it's also clear that it's done by someone who loves these characters, and knows how to tell a good story. Your Work of Art remains one of my favourite videos ever, and I believe it belongs to the best on TH-cam, and in the Internet, and ever made, to be honest. I wish You all the best in life. Wow....so you know I don't watch The Magicians, I only know about Queliot through the fan videos I see on here. I love this style you're using (similar to your last multifandom one) where you're sort of telling a story into two parts. It's really satisfying to get to the end of the first half and realize there's still more to come. Based on what I've seen, it also looks like you're using clips and parallels in really new ways, and breathing new life into this story. This is really wonderful work, and you should be proud of it
