These pressure cookers are often manufactured using recycled aluminum. The aluminum is often from engine blocks and machine parts etc. The issue is that such aluminum often has lead added to make it easier to machine, usually between 2% and 5%.
Actually this is true as I've watched YT on how they make them. While their craftsmanship and care been great but their choices of using old recycled engine blocks that aren't rated for food use is just crazy. Besides, I wouldn't use aluminium for cooking as it can leach into your food. Look up alzheimers.
So the portion with high levels is the exhaust for pressure, steam and air. I’m disappointed at they hysteria over these pots as not ALL brands and models are the same as the hype news articles claim
The advice I have to eliminate the risk of lead entering the food is to first put some water in the pressure cooker, then put the food in a steel container and put it in the pressure cooker to avoid direct contact of the food with its alloy. These cooker, especially when the food is slightly sour and acidic, can introduce some undesirable metal ions into the food.

These have been taken off the market in the US, Canada and Australia due to the lead content that is so high that it is a danger to health, especially children.
