Installing the VW bug headliner and insulation

One of the first projects I want to tackle to finish out the bug, is the headliner. I am installing a foil covered jute mat above the headliner to insulate the car from above. I spent many hours lining up both the headliner and the bows that hold it up. Once I got the insulation in I was able to install the headliner itself. since I have painted the inside of the bug I covered the edges with tape and used the tape to mark out the bow locations. All in all an OK job.

When you widened the fenders, did you cut away any part of the fender or did you just add the few inches of metal?

Ceazar Carr go back and look at videos 457 through 462 and yes i had to cut a bit off the front of the rears.

take a heat gun and work around the wrinkles and they should lay out nice be careful not to over heat the martial
