All these commentators have focused on "money", but Kevin Young brings the PROMISE of NBA-level training. Serious ballers can relate to that REGARDLESS of the NIL. ("You can pay me now, or you can pay me later"). I don't want the player in my program who is only focused on the NOW. (I'm thinking Bo Gentry in "Trouble With the Curve")

Agreed, and that's what the reports say is happening. But it's hard to know for sure from the outside.

KY has a proven record! His staff are guys with proven trak records. Best recruits ever and not done yet!

Great show guys! Kalifa was fun to watch but we didn’t have a rim protector and the d really took a hit when he was out there. I think he will not be missed. ( at least not by me)😂

But that's why you bring in a guy like Mag. No necessarily a rim protector, but to improve the overall defense. But it doesn't seem like Kalifa fits what KY wants to do anyway.

What worries me is BYU can recruit anyone basketball is different from football but these kids better not get in trouble??? I'm not LDS & love BYU I wish they didn't have the honor code they have!!! Basketball is different from football there are 1 year deals??? What I don't like about their honor code is there religion is all about repentance and 2nd chances in life??? I guess we'll see if BYU can influence their religion preach or fold at the hips??? I hope they can have an influence from their experience more than their not good enough for BYU!!!

First of all, there have been non-LDS kids playing for BYU for a long time. They know what they're signing up for when coming to BYU. It also means we miss out on a lot of recruits because of it. Second, it is all about repentance, but that doesn't mean there aren't consequences for our actions. But look at Brandon Davies. He broke the honor code and had to miss games. But he was able to come back and play. There have been other less public examples too.

To do the same with football, Andy Reid needs to "come home").

I would love that. I wonder how many rings he needs before he's ready to come home to finish our his career.

Because talk about being able to tell a kid you can get them in the league and paid.
