Looks like a documentary on how to stop Manziel or a LSU defensive highlight film.
LSU, Auburn, and Florida all had athletic defenses in that era...
LSU's pro style defense perfectly predicted Johnny Football's career in the NFL.
I can't recall an air raid attack that defeated the mighty LSU defense. Geno Smith and Tavon Austin put up some big numbers against LSU a few years back but ultimately to beat LSU you have to be balanced and you have to run the ball. Their DB's can cover to well and their front 7 get too much pressure on an offense that is overwhelmingly Pass happy.
I know this is old, but IMO, Geno did really nothing in that game. If you throw the ball 65 times and don't hit 400 yards, you're a pretty terrible QB. Hell, one or their TDs was because our CB slipped on the route and once you do that against Tavon, it's over.
Those jerseys are beyond dope

Check the the 2012 stat line and tape. He was way worse in the previous year's game.
the scale of this game was bigger, he wasn't really under the microscope in 2012 like he was in 2013, but you are right about his stats lagging in 2012 as compared to other games that season
It's funny how ppl pick a game he struggled in to make negative comments . Not 1 Qb has a good game every week . Look how manning did in the SuperBowl smh . This guy has rare talent and will make a name for himself quick in the NFL. He just needs to be careful and play safer .

yeah guys dropped a couple but that happens in the nfl too.
his arm looks strong when he puts his whole body into the throw but if he cant set his feet it leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't know why people are hating on Manziel so much. He was playing this game injured. His Recievers were dropping the ball and not running the right routes. A man can carry a team for so long. He's only 20 years old during this game.
As an A&M student, there’s no team I want to beat on a yearly basis other than LSU. I don’t mind the school even. But I have a strong disdain for their football team. They’re the team that I just want to pummel and blow out at Death Valley every other year.
And I even considered LSU for undergrad. Death Valley looks like a fun place to be. But I want my Aggies to destroy them every year. I can only wish.

Ouch that's a bad game, JF could have made a several better throws but overall LSU was the better team.
You want to raise your draft stock and be a top 10 pick? You have to show you can play well in these conditions. Drops & really poorly thrown balls are not going to cut it. He needs a lot of work before he is ready to play at the next level, and scrambling is fine but if he tries to do what he did in college he won't be in the game for long.
I have a feeling he is guna have a short career if he try to play like this in the nfl. Hes guna run into alot of problems 1. Injuries 2. His teamates aren't guna appreciate the fact that he scrambles and gives up sacks if he does choose to play like this

You all forget that A&M's OC at the time had a huge role in their failure to win against Auburn, LSU, and Mizzou..... So its not 100% Johnny. More like 50% Defense, 40% the stupid OC, and 10% the offense (players) itself.
It only gets worst in the NFL people.
He moves way to much and he tries to do to much he needs to slow down but I love Texas a&am and best of luck to Johnny Manziel in the draft.
You can see the lack of strength in his arm to get the ball where it needs to be. Manziel would be your ideal superstar high school QB, and in college, very effective against your less athletic defenses.
The weaknesses he displayed in a few games like this had MUCH more predictive power for his (lack of) success in the NFL than any of those off-the-wall games where he was just rolling up yardage. The games against Alabama really were the outliers.
Not so much lack of arm strength, but you have to remember this game was played in very rainy conditions hence the drops and slipped throws. Also Manziel injured his hand the game before by slamming it on a linemans helmet swelling his thumb.
man his oline & wr core straight gave up the game smh his team is weak i feel bad if he had real team prob woulda been different can only carry a team but for so long.
The O-Line played excellent here, only 2 or 3 hurries the entire game. You cant blame them when Manziel holds onto the ball forever, runs out of the pocket way to quickly or appears to simply not know what to do. WRs could have been better.
Manziel was simply bad, undrafted type bad during this game.
I gotta say Manziel was bad this game, 2 of his Oline are going first round and his #1 receiver is going first round. Most of his balls were overthrown anyway
lmao is this is joke? All I saw was him bouncing in the pocket for 3+ seconds, trying to play backyard football and missing targets. And you gotta be fucking kidding me if you think A&M is anywhere near bad. Look at the top 10 of the draft the past 2 years
Thing is Johnny at his worst looks so unbelievably bad when compared to the other QB's drafted. Forget his ceiling, his floor is so much lower.
5'10", love his quick trigger and explosiveness...but his arm is just too weak. he throws a pretty good deep ball and hell be able to beat NFL Corners with his deep ball, but he will have some holes... no way on earth he is a 1st round pick talent wise
