    I still have a complete set of those carded. Don’t know why I kept them but I did and I’m glad I did because they’re kind of cool.

      Same as people collecting the older ones from 70's and 80's. It's pretty cool packaging.

    That C3PO is minty!! Wish we could get a new TVC figure like it

      I lead with him because he is still the champ for 3PO figures for me. Though frankly I display all the others too so...

    Great collection! I remember buying this on Lojas Americanas here in Brazil in 1996 with my deceased brother, we played with these figures a LOT!

    Great video. This line was my jam back then including the Shadows of the Empire series too.
    Have to admit, seeing Obi Wan without his cloak and doing the Tatooine limbo cracked me up pretty good, much like it did when I first got the figure back in 95. 😀😄

      The originals get a lot of attention so I felt like showcasing these for people that appreciate them. Yeah Kenobi's standing issue is very bad, glad someone recalls it! I just posted a video about the Landspeeder and the missing white outfit Luke. I'll be trying to do a few more about these, and I do a lot of other 90's toys also. I have a few stacks here I will be opening soon...

    These figures are highly underrated. I had a decent Power Of The Force collection in the 90’s until I began collecting WWF figures. I lost a lot of my Star Wars figures but I bought most of them again several years ago. I currently have about 65 of these new in their packaging, unfortunately Power Of The Force figs have very minimal value which isn’t good for people looking to get rich off of them but it makes these easily collectible for those that still appreciate these. I bought most of them for around $3 and $4 at flea markets, nostalgic toy stores and bought some lots for dirt cheap on eBay.
    I was always cool with the buff figures however Kenner toned the figures down after the first couple series. Batman figures by Kenner, Power Rangers, etc. figures were also pretty buff. That’s how 90’s toys were which is why I never understood the criticism these figures receive. But they were still highly detailed and they still captured the likeness and personalities of their characters a lot better than the original Kenner Star Wars figures.

      Well said. I don't need them to valuable price wise. They are valuable because you like them, that's the value here.
      But this size and scale doesn't get many figures anymore, so for me these are pretty important still. They did not cover all these characters in Vintage Collection, and with new Star Wars movies and shows taking that line over, we won't see them again soon.

    In 1992 Playmates brought Star Trek toys back to toy stores, in 1993 Ban Dai immediately introduced Power Rangers toys, and then in 1995 Kenner/Hasbro brings Star Wars toys back (at last) to toy stores. When that happened I was like “well it’s about time we saw Star Wars toys again”. I mean in the 90s were seeing Star Trek toys coming back but where were Star Wars toys when we needed them at the time?

    great video. this line needs more love so really appreciate you doing this video. Everyone needs to watch this.
    When these came out, it got a lot of us back into collecting Star Wars. It was such a big deal. The whole world was talking about these. Very important line of figures.
    Thanx for this video. it’s awesome.

      I happen to win a lot of them new in box and thought I should just do the video because I know I loved them so others must too.
      Also hopeing to get into more Star Wars vids as I have a lot of amazing things new and old here waiting to be opened!
      But it all started with these.

    I remember back in 1995 when they came out they were affordable we could find them everywhere in stores. I bought lots of doubles one to take out from the package and snother to leave in package.
    C3po is really nice compared to later versions, R2 dome was cool and the jawas especially when you put a light over their heads.
    My only regret since i have all the potf95 serie is that I didn’t bought the ships since I had the originals ships hopefully one day I will find them.
    Very cool video thanks for sharing

      @@MBXfilms Yeah, the original Kenner figures will always have a special place in my heart. I grew up playing with those and I have most of them loose also. I also collect the original Star Wars Micro Machines, as well. Like I mentioned, the original Kenner toys are my favorites, purely for nostalgia. However, The POTF2 and Micro Machines lines are special to me in their own way.

    After seeing new hope in 97 when they got re-released straight to toys r us and seeing those tall aisles with these figures and the green cards of characters i didnt know yet and being a 10yr old opening them up and playing with them now the past few years collecting them all over again and getting them signed by the actors must have about 30 now and prequels aswell

      A lot of focus goes to the 70's and 80's Star Wars figures, but there's the VHS and DVD generations too, and these were awesome for that time.

    It always bothered me that the packaging changed so frequently. I really like the large bio on the back. The color lightsaber in the background didn't bother me that much. Then they went to hologram stickers, then slides, then sound chips. There wasn't consistency.

    • @MBXfilms
      @MBXfilms  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah that makes collecting kind of hard. I kept advertising the same few figures on the backs too which got old and boring fast. The big bio cards were great back then because we didn't have internet access so easily to look things up.

    • @MBXfilms
      @MBXfilms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still worth getting in my opinion. And face it, they won't be making any Episode I, II, or III like they did before, so all of those likely have characters we'll never see as figures again. And I prefer this scale anyway.

      @@MBXfilms I’ve been working part time at a card shop since the fall, and the owner has been collecting Star Wars figures since this time and has a bunch. I just keep looking at them and get more and more interested. I have a boba Fett on the way I ordered today

    • @MBXfilms
      @MBXfilms  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This line is rapidly approaching being 30 years old. It is only the second Star Wars action figure line of this scale. The 70's and 80's one will always be the first but these 90's ones are a vintage line now also.
