Me snickering at the neighbors trying to wrangle their dog, seemingly completely oblivious to the sirens
Me setting my phone down on the truck bed and trying to lean it against the cab, only for it to fall into the void
And a bunch of 2001s doing what they do best
First time I've seen a video of Dallas sounding for a high end severe thunderstorm
Oooh, so THAT'S what you call them down there
Twister whistle originated from some random ass comment on a video of some brown allertor in Wisconsin. My friend group just adopted it for… some reason.

Nice siren ambience Jared.
This storm was crazy asf. Even the one on 5/28/24, that one took out my power for 12 hours. They say 80mph is a rare tag for a severe T storm warning but we've had it 2 years in a row now. I heard like 5 different systems on 5/28 including one of the t-bolts from Dallas lol. I'd like to think it's maybe the Royal Lane one or sum cause I heard it in carrollton
You probably heard a Farmers Branch Whelen. The original Whelen controllsrs went bye bye long ago, replaced with Federal UltraVoices and they run what the dealer calls “ThunderMod” tones - essentially, a toneset modeled after a T-Bolt. It’s fooled me a couple times lol
@TheSirenSeeker might be true but I've heard FB's sirens and the one I heard in the video I recorded sounded exactly like a thunderbolt. Honestly the one that'd match it closely would be the Vortex over on Welch/ the Vortex on Senlac rd but they still have a tone discrepancy. There is definitely a couple departments who still use those sirens
th-cam.com/video/47mi-mdYt_E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HcB2aZkir-BjYvsV FB's sirens are somewhat audible at my location too though. There is no way this isn't a thunderbolt in this video
@@dfwstormsandsirens That is true, if you catch the right shift @ the right station you can likely get a run up
@@dfwstormsandsirens Let's check this out.
still can't believe that two thunderbolts went off during this lol
Fucking literally. My brain is still a puddle of goo from that shit
@@TheSirenSeeker i’m really curious as to who set the 1000T off lol
i still question that video’s legitimacy, but if its real, i wonder who actually did it.
@@madisoncountysirens4295 It’s bogus

Doesn't Dallas alert for sustained severe (58 mph) winds, in addition to tornadoes, and when the system gets hacked? ;-)
I think it's tornado warnings, 70+ mph winds, or hail greater than 1.5 inches. That particular storm had 80 mph winds
@@SETX_Sirens_and_Rail_02 Okay. Those strike me as reasonable criteria. Just curious.
THE BOLTS LIVE
How many times did the sirens go off for you they went off a total of 6 times now for me.
I think 5?
@@TheSirenSeeker i kept counting how many times it went off cause at that point it felt like the fd was just spamming the button
