Great list my friend! Great minds think alike once again. I just posted my traptrix profile this morning. I like your take on the deck and I may try cutting down pudica when testing! Great content 👍
Thanks for the comment! I need to go check that out, you're the only other Yugituber out there that updates this deck on the regular. Thanks! I also get a lot of ideas from your videos, so I'm looking to see what I can learn from it!
I prefer the heavier combo variant with Rikka strenna and aroma jasmine and that might be the way once Raika comes out, but this is a very solid list. I would consider running "Network trap hole" tho or even "Chain hole", both those cards are very nice this format
The field spell is a lot better than you think it is. It can allow you to play through Nibiru. The field spell has some really cool interactions and it's protection for your monsters is super nice along with Raff. And have you thought about possibly playing Transaction Rollback?
I don’t think unicorn is necessary because it costs too much, 2 or 3 monsters to make and an additional discard to activate, redoer does the same thing only needing 1 monster and holeutea trap with no discard.
hi, so genuine question, everyone seems to run like 3 ash blossom and all, so why is chain hole never added? it seems like a good answer for that and more?
random thing but i've been running terrors of the over root lately because if they activate any handtrap on your turn you get to take their boss monster away and it blocks out fenrir which seems to be in everything. The best benefit is that you can trigger it at any time so if you get it in your starting hand you can trigger sera at the most crucial time instead of waiting for an on summon.
One thing I've been experimenting with is summon limit and using mantis's interaction. Won me a game against snake eye firekings. Def kinda situational but it's satisfying
This is a really nice little interaction. I like it. The thing about it is that Summon limit is such a hard going 1st card and this deck struggles HARD breaking boards. But going 1st, I can totally see that being good. Even Anti-spell is really good in the deck since you run so little spells.
@@puzzledwhale2376 its a good side deck option. Plus I main deck 2 thrusts and only run 1 of summon limit. Tried it 1 day last week but I'm gonna experiment with it more this weekend.
very nice and complete explanation quick question: what do you think of the new raika cards that will come out in legacy of destruction? I absolutely love them and I'm trying to figure out a way to play them and traptrix seem like the better match for now, how would you change your decklist if you want to include them?
New player here! (2 months in) Quick question: wouldn’t effect veiler be beneficial in this format? Currently running 3 at the moment. Also: any tips on how to further extend any combos on: for example fire kings or labyrinth? Isn’t evenly matched better in the side deck???
First off, welcome to the game. This is a great deck to pick up on a budget and to learn some of the core mechanics of the game (Link/XYZ) 2nd. Hand traps like effect veiler are ENTIRELY based on the players prefence. I don't really know stat numbers, but in my own personal play testing against something like Voiceless Voice/Snake-Eyes and FK Snake eyes, Droll have been turn skips. 3rd. As for combos, there are your typical traptrix combos. I highly recommend looking at a combo video like PAK's video. It's a bit older now, but the same core combo is there. Unless you are playing other variants of th deck. 4th. Evenly is a great card and like I stated in the video, a complete blow out. The reason why this deck can main it (Should main it IMO) is because it is a normal trap you can pitch off of your Holeutea and it helps going 2nd (This decks greatest weakness). Hope that helped :)
Veiler is less good this format because of cards like Dimension Shifter being main decked to contest with Fire decks atm, and it's also "minimal impact" compared to cards like Droll & Lockbird, Nibiru, Evenly Matched, and Dimension Shifter. Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill is a better option over Veiler because of specifically Shifter right now. Evenly Matched is pretty much a mainstay choice for Traptrix because of two things. The deck struggles going 2nd and Evenly is an easy discard off Holeutea going 1st! If you want to compete with Fire decks I recommend setting up Rafflesia+Sera and setting Banishing Trap Hole, Gravedigger's Trap Hole, or Network Trap Hole. If they summon Ash or Ponix, you chain Banishing to the effect on summon. If they have Kirin in hand you can chain Rafflesia to send Gravedigger's to grave to negate Kirin, then on a separate chain go CL1 Sera to summon, CL2 Sera to set from deck (this prevents Ash from chaining to Sera because of SEGOC; Simultaneous Effects Go On Chain).
For future videos, is it possible to just post a screenshot of the decklist from db or edo? That way we can just see the whole list. Great profile and explanation though!
Hey I'm still a bit of a newer player maybe about a month and a half. I am doing well. Went 2-2 at my 3rd locals ever. I had a problem with going 2nd against a barrone. What's the best way of dealing with her?
Imperm, Fenrir, Triple Tactics Talent, Ty-PHON, & Evenly are great non-engine ways to out Baronne! But as far as in-engine goes, don't activate the effect of your normal summon so it sticks to the board. You can go into Sera and use cards like Holeutea, Pudica SS effect, and Exceed to bait the negate out. If they don't negate Holeutea they will definitely negate the Sera effect to summon from the deck.
Not a dumb question. Tune makes you lose to ash by losing an additional card from your hand. Traptrix isn't a deck that you want to see more traps. It's a deck where you want to see key traps or cards like parallel exceed or evenly Matched.

I really enjoyed the longer video and being able to hear your thoughts. I love the deck represention 🙌🏽
Do you think you could post some combos and/or battles showing how to play this deck?

This is lowkey brilliant. Opens my eyes to a whole bunch of floodgates we can abuse and bounce back during our turn

@@puzzledwhale2376 also summon limit can also be used as holeutea bait so that's a good too.
Can you tell me how this works? Is it c1 mantis c2 trap? Cause you can't bounce it activated right?
very nice and complete explanation

Just got a traptrix deck with no Parallel Exceed cards
No Drollo Lock
No pot of Prosperity
No Triple Tactics Talente
Cyclone > Myrmeleo bc Myrmeleo can’t pop fire king island with sanctuary up
why D shifter and DDG you can side only one of them and i feel DDG is better
D shifter I usually side when going 2nd. DDG when going first. :)
I'm running shifter as only handtrap
You keep smacking your lips in our ears
