This set was amazing, and with a high meaning for DK´s saga fans... It would be nice to have more tournaments focused on fighter´s types, I know it already has happened, but, I don´t know, imagine more Heavies vs heavies, only sword, no weapon, even by franchise tournaments...
A no Steve tournament would be great too

This is like the ultimate battle in smash Bros between two rivals, donkey Kong versus king K rule. I don’t think it gets any better than this.
what a fun matchup Donkey and King.K.Rool have the funniest facial expression in the game when they get hit just saying. Look at K.Rool's face at 14:02 for example it says it all😂😂

There was a lot of low key dick swinging going on with this game with all of the parries and wild options. Good fight
Chunkykong parries so much, but I guess you have to since DK is so big, literally everything will hit your shield
that's part of the game though, is a mental mind game with your opponent. even though DK suffers with projectiles when he handles them with parries going out left and right it makes Kirby subconsciously think to use projectiles less as chunky has a great grasp on handling projectiles

Yeah it is weird. K Rool looks fine in game until you compare him to DK. He is bigger than K Rool. Wish Sakurai made him bigger, but technical difficulties iirc
Yea i just noticed that. Donkey Kong is shorter but hes wider and K rool is taller but smaller for some reason
I think they could have just made dk smaller, cuz even next to bowser he's the same size which isn't the case in mario lore either, he's usually depicted as slightly smaller than bowser
At least Bowser and KKR are both heavier than DK, so it kinda balances out.

I've always maintained K.Rool is the best heavy in the game. Those tools he has are amazing compared to other heavies. This was a great set by Chunkykong, and it was 3-1, while Kirbykid wasnt even challenging off-stage as much as he should've.
He was letting DK get back to the stage for free every time despite the massive advantage K.Rool has off-stage. DK really has nothing to threaten K.Rool off stage and is very susceptible to getting his up.B parried or armored. Very odd to see Kirbykid let him get back 100% for free a vast majority of the time.
Incineroar and bowser are more competitively viable as evidenced by tourney results. But yeah K Rool go burrrr💯
I honestly think Krool is the worst heavy. His projectiles are pretty garbage and easy to react/punish. His recovery is super exploitable. The best thing he has is nair and his belly armor breaks if it's hit enough lol
I always stand by Bowser for being the best heavy in the game. His Tough Guy mechanic is honestly better than K. Rool's armor because at least you don't have to worry about it being broken and leaving you open. Plus his two moves that make him most famous: Fire Breath that can rack up so much damage in a short amount of time and Flying Slam which is one of the best command grabs in the game. Perfect for out-of-shield and can kill REAL early

K Rool is better than DK in tiers, he’s mid tier or more. DK is like mid low tier.
