That’s awesome stocked you enjoy the videos. We know they’re pretty dodgy but we just don’t enjoy sitting in front of computers trying to make videos 🤙
wow wow. i have followed the previous owners of this boat from Greenland to Mexico and i have never seen this so clean. spectacular job. I am looking forward to see it under the new sails in a stiff breeze. Keep the vids coming.
Agree. Chris White designs comfortable and safe cruising boats that have reasonably high performance. This particular Hammerhead has tamed the Southern Ocean at high speed.
Thanks 🙏 her layout is awesome and it’s one of the first things we feel in love with works great for a couple and is incredibly easy to maintain and live on. Feels like a villa on the water 😁
Nice we’ve also had Lavacs in the past back in the mid 90’s on my folks performance cruising car. We love them for their simplicity and ease of use! Sometimes less equals more 😉
The Hammerhead does look great after all your work in the Costa Rica heat. I'm sure it'll make a brilliant cruiser. Shoal draft combined with stability at sea is a wonderful combination, as I know after decades on my K39 .Like your earlier comment, I'd leave the fwd windows closed. It won't always be as hot as CR!! Those panels are massive, pres the regulator is closing them down most of the time?
Thank you for your input. Yes the batteries are full early on but we think that’ll change when we’re on passage. Not sure they’ll keep up then so it’ll be interesting seeing how things work out.
Thanks again for saving this Chris White Hammerhead. The reason most performance/racing boats don't have opening front windows is leakage issues. Recommend against it for that reason.
@@TrimaranSpiritXL yes,, Bill Shuman, my phone piked the wrong Bill. My god I cannot believe how somebody can trash such a beautifully build boat. Glad you are bringing her back to better than new. Do you know what happened to the original cockpit owning? He made it like an airplane wing, cotton and dope over a sturdy aluminum frame. Stopped the sun, not the light. Bill was a talented builder, you got yourself a serious boat.
You definitely give up a lot of interior design beauty for speed don't you. I really want a Trimaran bad but I struggle with how far they deviate from a mono hulls interior vibe.
Yeah they’re not for everyone that’s for sure but we enjoy the open and simple layout and of course the speed and stability is 2nd to none. They’re big little boats and if you can get one similar to Spirit they don’t have the mono vibe so much as everything’s on the one level you don’t go down a companionway hatch deep into a dark hull, it’s light and airy.
That boat is so fortunate to have been found by you two, everybody's getting what they wanted, how rare.
Yes we’re very fortune to have also found her 🤙
Beautiful! What a transformation from the filthy, mildewed clutter you started with. Congratulations. Thanks for the tour.
Many thanks 🙏 slowly but surely she’ll get there.
Great way to start the week when this notification popped up

What a fantastic boat.
Yeah she’s not too bad. Bit rough around the edges at present but she’s getting there 👍
Just a beaut you guys. Lovely. Can't wait to see her up close!
Thanks groovers 💃 we can’t wait to see you both and for you to experience her ⛵️ let us know when you want to come for a ride!!
Wow, she is beautiful with heaps of space! Thank you for the great tour and congratulations again on your new home!
You’re the best 🤗 thank you. We’re feeling blessed to be here and now doing this. So good to be back on the water 🙏 hugs to you both.
You are both amazing. Living such a fabulous life. So inspiring. Fair winds and following sails always on your beautiful new Spirit!
Hey Nina 🙏 you’re always so supportive thank you 🤗 big hugs from Clo and I
Gotta be happy with that,it’s terrific that you found this one,I’m really happy for you 🙂

That’s great thanks for the kind words 🤙
WoW! Great job!!! Can't wait to see a wind-kissed sailing video! 🌬️⛵️Keep going🎉! Well done!
Many thanks 🙏 glad you’re enjoying the videos 🤙
What a great boat. Love the La Vac heads. By far the best ever. Looks like a very wonderful vessel. ❤
Thanks. Yes the La Vacs are awesome. We had them on our cruising cat in the 90’s just about impossible to block and simple to operate 😁
@@TrimaranSpiritXL Yes, I installed them on 3 different cruising boats that we have had over the years.

Thanks we’re really stoked to read your comment and appreciate the positive words. Many thanks and best wishes from Spirit XL and her crew 🙏
Awesome Jase thanks for showing. Great layout! Looking forward too seeing your improvements. 🎉congrats to you both.
Cheers mate many thanks 🙏
WOW, so clean, like a completely different boat, can we see the machinery space? Is there a swing-down daggerboard?
Yep I’ll do an exterior and machinery space video sometime soon 👍
amazing transformation lot's of hard work!...well done!
Thank you! 🙏
Congratulations! A hell of work and Great job. for me Spirit I is the nicer boat, but for cruising Spirit II will be much comfortable.

Awesome many thanks 🙏 They’re both awesome boats and each definitely has their positives 🤙
Great layout, best trimaran layout I've seen 👍
Thanks 🙏 her layout is awesome and it’s one of the first things we feel in love with works great for a couple and is incredibly easy to maintain and live on. Feels like a villa on the water 😁
Awesome vessel! Those Lavac heads are great. I've had them on my boat for 20 years. I actually got one that has the electric pump on it.
Nice we’ve also had Lavacs in the past back in the mid 90’s on my folks performance cruising car. We love them for their simplicity and ease of use! Sometimes less equals more 😉
Keeping me inspired guys. Always a great to see what you guys are up to. Love it

We love it.
Awesome 🙌 us too 👍
Fantastic design! Any idea what size the fridge is and amp draw?
Thanks 🙏 fridge draws around 2.5 amps @ 24v or roughly 24ah of capacity a day.
Was wondering who picked up that Hammerhead...
Congrats!
Thanks a lot Peter!
Would enjoy hearing- what attraction did u have to "trimarans" & what made u fall in love w/ them..
any good multi is better than a slow lead loaded mono - Not having to worry about depth so much is a bonus - I have had both
That’s a great idea I’ll try and do one over the next few months.
Is this the Hammerhead built by Bill Cunningham?
Bill Shuman was the builder and she was built at his boat shop in Wells Maine.
