Gameplay part (2:16): Atomic shop not registering the ball, airplane blocking the right ramp shot, slingshots not working, ball drain not registering etc... Yep, we'll ready to reveal this to the reporters. Also those leg/artwork protectors look hideous on a new machine.
Seeing this, hearing your questions... I think you also knew, and I highly suspect that most working there knew as well. Steve sounds very passionate about it, the rules, and so on. I am glad he landed at AP and I look forward to meeting him, he's going to be a great asset for them. I look forward to meeting him, and you, at TPF.
If the pinpods weren’t so expensive and actually used in some sort of send and return system, I would love my game being shipped in that thing. Just think, you bought a $36k POTC, have it go across the country in this wood box or just blankets and plastic? Won’t ever happen but it was an interesting idea
I might be in the minority, but the PinBar seems like a great idea. Would it hold up to heavy use, drinks being spilled, etc? I'm sure we might see something like that in the future.
I agree, I liked the idea for telling you what to shoot for and entering in your name. IMO all DMD and info stuff should just be moved as close as possible to the flippers so the back box gets maximum artwork. Too bad they put the horse before the wagon and tried to do way too much instead of just releasing a game ASAP.
Agreed, I'm just catching up on these videos and thought it was cool when I first saw the pinbar since I was looking at doing something similar for a homebrew. I like the idea of having one display closer to where I'm looking while playing but still having the one in the backbox for others to watch from the side.
looks like it could have been an interesting game too, Cary...but you DID call it back then after you left that showing...that you thought something was not right! I plan on feeding you at Texas show for your insight!
Pinbar is a terrible idea. Imagine playing in public or a pinball show and you have no idea if the person is playing 1 or 4 players or what ball they are on without looking over there shoulder at there crotch.
Controversy aside... It had a lot of innovations built in... It may not have been a smash hit, but I think it would have forced a lot of innovation in the industry to keep up had it actually had a limited run.
@@CaryHardy I really liked the hydraulic glass lift...that would make life so much easier. I hope Stern/JJP takes some cues from this video and integrates this feature one day.
If only Robert had a few less vacations and extravagant weddings and spending sprees (with other peoples money) and just committed to the grind like Jack did at JJ P. What could have been…
How did they figure anyone would take the time on location paying to play would ever want to try and figure out the mess in the pin bar . Seems to me with pinball being a fast paced game the pinbar would just complicate play vs making it a fun time. I don’t think the touch screen stuff really makes sense on pinball
What a disappointment. This game had potential. It was a shame this whole thing turned out the way it did. You can feel how passionate Steve was when listening to him try to say what he could without going too far. So glad he landed at American and can't wait to see what projects he has his hand in. Also, I hate that Barry had to deal with this BS towards the end. RIP, sir. See you at TPF, Cary! Woohoo!
And one more thing. The concept of the reusable traveling case for the pinball machine? That does make a lot of sense. Someone grab design. Make a little stronger clips now you got a new way to reship pinball machines without them standing on their back and having the possibility of someone stacking something on top of it. Just saying.
The Pin bar looks campy to me. But there are some really neat innovations. Sadly… there might be just enough neat stuff for someone else to try to revive this project and fail. I love the wrapped trans light.
I'm a grower, not a shower. lol. Pinball is pretty niche as it is so you won't find dedicated pinball content creators in the 'million' sub range. 5K is pretty good for a dedicated pinball content channel.
Honestly, this pin and the innovative stuff like the pinbar looked promising but it never worked out or came to be. It’s just really disappointing. Maybe it could’ve been a fun game to play but I guess we’ll never know.
If you give any pinhead with experience $40,000 and help from Ted Estes to build the software literally anyone can make a better game then this and the ball for sure would not get stuck as much
I just heard about this company. So they promised a bunch of innovations and took Kickstarter money from people? And still haven't sold a pinball machine?
It honestly look like it could have been very interesting game to play. I mean if jpop didn't ruin his career for the rest of his life. And if Robert Mueller wasn't a complete jackass. Ripping everyone off to fuel his stupidity. And ruining everyone's life around it. And if it was developed by a real company.. It definitely could have potential. I mean I seen what people did with magic girl. And if some person passionate enough to try to get the prototype of Raza.. Or if in another way hypothetically.. STERN CGC AMERICAN PINBALL JERSEY JACK. And maybe get their head tech guys And backwards engineer it in to fix all the problems.. Maybe better develop the into a awesome machine. And reap the rewards around Robert Mueller's stupidity. Just an idea.
The dimple test footage was hilarious, they boxed you out and descended on that playfield like vultures over a corpse.
Careful, Robert might launch a lawsuit on you from the prison library.
"I consider that practising law without a licence" lol
@@loubilly Well in Robert's case he will be after disbarment OH SNAP!
the pinbar was a fantastic idea that was wasted on a scam.
I've always wondered what kind of trash someone would build with $60 million of stolen money. Now I know. Thank you, Cary!

Wow, thanks for posting Carey!
It’s pretty wild how all of this unfolded.
Nice, when will these be avail for purchase?

What's up @ 4:56? Sounds like it's starting up the Flowbee for haircuts🤦♂️

Who is the guy in the black shirt talking about the game?
Steve Bowden. He is the rules designer.

nope, everything is up for auction in a few days.

No Kickstarter money. Deposits on machines. That money is a drop in the bucket compared to the money that was taken from a lot people's savings.

I guess throwing money at a mostly broken machine doesn't make it play.
There are a lot of really out of shape pinheads out there.

Plenty of innovations here. Sounds a bit like CV. Sure would have been a smash hit!
