My sitution is similar to yours actually: I am German and I studied Law in France (Paris). I‘ve spend my third year „abroad“ in Germany because I studied both - french and german law. Now after finishing my masters (in french law), I am still living in Paris 😊

My biggest pet peeve when I did a summer school in Cambridge, was that the windows opened to the outside (which is really not what they do in Austria), or you had to push them up. So I had insects and spiders coming in all the fricking time, and there was no way to put up nets with these windows :o Back home we have them on every window (which open to the inside aka the only proper way to open a window), and they are the best thing in the world lemme tell you xD
Oml you are right - if a window can't accommodate an insect net, there's something wrong with it! Really glad my windows here open to the inside :)

Oh god, I hate spiders.
Here in Argentina we call those tiny little black things "bicho bolita" (not sure about how it translates but I guess it's "pellet bug" or something like that). If you touch them, they curl up and look like a tiny pellet. I found them very cute, haha.

Honestly dorm rooms are such a tricky thing. I was lucky and the only dorm room I ever lived in was clean and given the fact that it was like 50 years old in pretty good shape. But if you got bad luck the person who lived in the room before cleaned up like once in a year and you'll have like all kinds of little creatures in there urgh

All the dorms I have been in Germany have been messy and dirty, I don't know why because when I move out of my dorm the Hausmeister made me clean the shit of my room and the kitchen and the 3 bathrooms of the floor, so I have no idea how they get soooooo dirty >< I want and need an update of the kitchen xD good luck Elena!

Hi Elena! Insects are a part of our world and ecosystem. I’m not saying your dorm should be infested, but spiders from time to time get into our hoses but are pretty much harmless. I think it’s important to learn how to coexist with them, without necessarily having to kill all of them.

Can you do a video or mention somewhere why you chose Regensburg for your year abroad? What modules are you going to study and is Regensburg good for something specific that interests you (that is academically)?
Thank you :) I will probably do a Q&A about my year abroad where I'll go more into depth about my time here and why I chose to be here but the short version is that I wanted to study in Germany for a bit and this was my chance :) I haven't finalised my course choices yet but will share more about it once I have!
