Why the LLM? Are you looking for an academic career? My son, when at Durham University, told me he was thinking of staying on to do a Masters, having been told by his Law tutors that would make it easier in England to get jobs. Having been a lawyer for decades I had to tell him that I had interviewed HUNDREDS of people for legal Jobs over the years and I'd never once looked for a Masters in Law. I told him I thought they were telling people that simply to sell the Masters courses. Of course if you want to study for the sake of study or because you want to be a legal academic, that's fine. In a couple of years you will be invited back to Cambridge for your MA (Cantab.) ceremony. You will be able to meet your old College + Law Faculty friends again - but hopefully when Covid is a memory rather than something affecting our lives. What will be the benefit to you, in Germany, of having a Cambridge degree in (English) Law?

Yeah it’s not amazing but getting an apartment in Tübingen was pretty difficult (especially on a student budget) and I am pretty happy to have gotten a place at all😅🤗
I wanted my own space - I liked living in dorms, but sharing things like a bathroom and a kitchen can be difficult depending on who you end up living with and I’ve had both good and bad experiences with that. Given that I don’t know anyone in Tübingen yet, I didn’t wanna move into a dorm with random strangers and so I preferred getting my own apartment🤗
