I do agree you don't have much use for xp farms (but they are practical for getting those 2 levels you are missing to level up etc), and I actually never thought about one w lava - I normally use a Cinder one (netherrack on fire), and Ooze, Acid and Poison ones.
Well yeh but I have a exp farm which gets me materials aswell as levels so even yet I understand it’s easy to get levels, farms and minecraft are just yin and yang.
i know its late for this, but how do you get that many stacks of glass when ur not even on dessert biome? How did u get those glow stone when you cant even have vanilla torch? Hmmmm
Dude, you gotta stop it with the stone weapons, man. The mob farm is nice, but holy hell, it takes 1 iron to make javaliens and 2 to make throwing hachets. The miserlyness is crazy it takes a couple of minutes to get iron brother.

1x lava source block will spawn afrits. 3x3 will spawn salamanders, the lava fish, and lobbers. But they have to be source blocks

You dont need exp farms There are many ways to get exp.Just cheese a battle tower and u already get 30 lvls.

I dug underneath and around a lake to get that glass (that’s in the vid), and you can make vanilla torches (you need 1 coal and 4 glowstone) hmmmmmm
