hi, the skin on your djembe might be tight enough that it is already tuned, if the sound is good, then you don't need to tune it. the vertical ropes were pulled when the skin was put on, and sometimes no twists or only a few are necessary for the drum to sound good. if you don't hear a nice slap, if it sounds kind of flat, I would try to do a few twists to tune it a bit and see how it sounds.
this song is an original arrangement that we put together on a cd we have for sale. glad you like it. the other tracks do include some traditional rhythms like sinte, kuku, sorsornet.
Oh man thank you *so* much, you showed me from *start* to finish how to tune this djembe haha! uuugh so thankful.

hello I would love to get a djembe, 50 cm, how can I get one, I can't pay the amount charged on the site. gratitude to everyone. BRASIL
if the djembe isn't tuned, or is only started, do you "have" to tune it? i have a toca black mamba, and it's like that, do i need to tune it?
