Probably not much more than pretty much every major member lol. They're actors, playing different characters is kinda what they do lol

She's easily one of the best cast members ever. She can do everything.
She’s actually very very mediocre. She breaks character, laughs at her own jokes, doesn’t help with writing skits. She does British accents and dumb women characters, nothing else.

I agree that she is underrated. She delivers the goods much more dependably than McKinnon, who is often great, but just as often going through the motions, relying too much on her trademark mannerisms.

Cecily and Kate are so good I don't even realize it's them half the time
She's head and shoulders above Kate talent-wise. Kate has little range, only a few characters she repurposes for different skits, and is _way_ overrated. People mistake energy and weirdness for talent.

Cecily is one of the most underrated cast members. She is incredibly versatile.
She's not underrated, but she is amazing.

I'll have the courage to say she's the best female cast member of all time. Just cuz of her range and ability. There's not a sketch you can't put her in and it wont work....her range is crazy. Im talking pure ability wise. Kristen Wiig is my all time fave but even she doesnt have that much range
Yeah, i think kristen and kate are similar in that sense in that they're both always hilarious but their characters are a bit more like versions of each other, whereas cecily completely disappears and turns into a different person
At some point in her life, Cecily needs to prank call Joe Manganiello with that spot-on Sofia Vergara impression: "Why does Slade Wilson only have the one eye? Was he playing with the BB gun like the Ralphie?!"

Her accents are all unique to each character she does. It's hilarious and talented at the same time, mainly so talented that it's hilarious.

I’ve been a student of SNL since the Not Ready for Prime Time Players and there’ve been legends over the past 40+ years, but she is truly the GOAT. Seriously, someone out there name another SNL cast member -male or female- who’s ever had this kind of range. 🔥
How lucky we are, to have had the pleasure of seeing Cecily Strong being a star on SNL for ten years(so far). Really great to see this celebration of her, and so much love for her in the comments. My favourite clip here was Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With. She is such a funny and well-written character, I really hope she makes a comeback and receives some segments on the show in the future.

In my opinion, Cecily is the best SNL cast member, ever; male or female ❤️ So talented and a natural comedian.
Just consider her “drunk” accent. So many actors are terrible at drunk accents. And she performs such nuance in her mispronunciations and her “lazy-mouth” intonations.

She was busy filming another last season. Same reason why Aidy Bryant and Pete Davidson had reduced roles at certain points

Alot of women have come out of SNL and gone on to do such mainstream projects. And although they all have been great, I'll never understand why Cecily hasn't. It maybe an oversight on my part, like perhaps she done alot behind the scenes as a writer, producer, director, etc that I don't know about. But the woman is PURE gold. Definitely the most consistently funny of her era. As an extra or main character she's ALWAYS pulling laughs on a skit, atleast from me lol

Strong was hired at the same time as McKinnon, and she was supposed to be the anchor of the news segment. Then McKinnon took the number 1 spot. She's a strong cast member though.
Kates overrated
What a waste of talent if they’d kept her as anchor. There’s no one like Cecily. Period.
Kate arrived at the end of season 37 before Wiig left, Cecily was hired for season 38 (with Aidy and Tim Robinson) and didn't become an anchor before season 39, when Seth Meyers was going to leave for the Late Night show, so, no, she was not hired for WU. Also, playing Hillary is what really made Kate break out.
I really regretted it when she left SNL. Her range, and her humor, was impeccable.
