Great content as always keep it up! I own a xr6t fg with minimal mods and these type of videos keep my dream alive to go down this path of a build 👌
Thankyou legend! That’s awesome to hear! Definitely worth doing man
Exactly the reason I switched sides to barra. Love my cammed ls but these things are literally monsters! Lovin the vids bro always look forward to them, hands down my favourite content creator!
Your not wrong at all man! Definitely both have their perks but mod for mod you can’t even compare the two hey! I appreciate it legend! Means the world to me 🙌🏼
Good onya,I’m a ford man but I still like Holdens,I have posters of both on my walls but I own a bf typhoon, good to see you can run both
Loving the TH-cam content, can’t wait for the clubsport to be build
Thankyou legend 🫶🏼 first video of the series coming up shortly 👊🏼
Good vid man, definitely good power for money, I'll probably go a bit less as mostly city use, on to the rest of the vids....lol
Really enjoying your Barra content as I'm looking at rebuilding my FG 50th Turbo after buying a new rig. Deciding to rebuild or purchase a built motor from Atomic.
Built motor would be the go! But this is the alternative
I've got a similar build just slightly less extreme, single intank pump, 3582 instead of 3584 and stock tailshaft other than that everything is basically the same with just some brand differences, next up is going to be a set of cams, nothing crazy either kelford 218ez or 218a haven't decided yet, getting because the stock ones are starting to look a bit pitted. Suspended license for the next 12 months though so might end up doing more in that time, Built bottom end is definitely in the cards depending on how I go money wise and If it does go that way I'll be needing a bigger turbo and surge tank to keep up. ATM running 410kw mainly because 98 wouldn't get that much more from e85 with the current fuel system though and not worth it for me unless It's on flex with e85 being a bit harder to come by and enjoying long drives to the mountains.
I’ve got a factory gas bf wagon I have always wanted to do a turbo Barra sleeper build on
Thank you very much, excellent informative video.
You are welcome!
Picked up my first Falcon recently. NA FG 400xxx ks. only paid $2500. Gonna try a mild built NA first before i go turbo!
Yiewww!
Awesome bro thanks alot
Nice build, but if you think the barra is cheap easy power you should have a look at the 2018+ mustangs that have the gen 3 coyote with 10 speed. They love boost and will do 800hp all day long with a Whipple or pro charger
What a sick build
Are you running an external waste gate and down pipe?
Watch the video before commenting aye 🤦♂️
what timing chain kit did you go with?
Which process west surge tank you running the new cylinder style or the box one . What pumps are they to .
Did you do fuel rail ?
New cylinder shape, twin 525’s I believe. No fuel rail
Good job mate 👍🏻. How do find the pulsar turbo GTX3584.?
Thankyou mate! Absolutely love it! Sounds awesome and you can’t even compare price wise to any cheap or expensive turbo
Hey bro can you go over why you shouldn’t drive a done up falcon in normal drive mode? I’ve heard a few friends mention it. But i feel like when i’m racing someone it’s just easier to put your foot down and not worry about shifting manually
I’ve just completed my falcon build and pushing 450rwkw
What happens is if the transmission kicks down a gear or two with power it will snap in input shaft in the trans… something you don’t want 😂 get into the habit of using the tip tronic because 450kw is risky for kickdowns
Hey bro, love the video here.
I have an NA FG XR6 MK2 (ZF box). Do you think if the engine is in good condition that going for a turbo conversion would be worth it to do something like your video, or is it best to sell this car and get a factory turbo? (Currently on green P's, still 2.5 years until full license in VIC).
I understand that I may be looking at upgrading the pistons, rods, and valves + other preventive mods along the way.
Thank you.
Hey bro, Thankyou 👌🏼 NA+T will cost you a lot more than buying an XR6T! Trust me on that! Better to wait and get the real deal unless you plan on doing a full complete big driveline build
@@GAMBIN.BUILDS Thanks dude. I think the main idea for barras like you mentioned is a power to cost factor, wouldnt make much sense unless your pushing crazy power, even then you would probably get a billet block. Thank you!
Anyone know if it’s worth going to an external internally routed set up ruining a pulsar gtx3582r gen 3? Not chafing big power to be honest but current turbo has cracked the rear housing and am looking to just buy new 😂
It will be the same thing man! Just won’t sound as good 😎😂
how good does falcon content do on this platform hey!
It’s going great! Keen to see how the Clubsport content goes 😁
Late BF turbo Barras have the same internals as an FG turbo Barra. Its only the 2003-2005 BA and 2005-2006 BF that have the shit turbo motor.
How your box is holding up? We have an almost identical setup i just havent switched over to e85 yet. Currently running 430rwkw on 98 and 18psi in my f6, only thing from stopping me is wondering if the box will flog itself out 😅
Box is holding up fine, just comes down to how well maintained it was during the course of its life! Still shifts fine and doesn’t do any funny hiccups! Just a risk you’ll have to take my man. Could last 100kms or could last 10,000kms 😂
@@GAMBIN.BUILDS yehhhh putting dosh away for a built zf or a th400 conversion haven't quite decided yet 😂 both are fkn expensive
@@zskytop8790 built ZF for sure! Would drive 100x better than a th400
Can't get the zf to shift down without clunking, any ideas guys?
Are these 3R rods? Or 1R from factory...
If it's an xr6 turbo fg will be 3r rods.
If it's a turbo converted car, retaining the factory non turbo assembly.
Then it's 1r rods.
How did you put 30K into a LS and only got 400 horsepower?
Bigger stroke doesn’t make HP, it makes torque. Walked a few 600HP barras with a TH400 behind it which also robs about 80WHP but will make up for it in torque 👌🏼 wasn’t your average small cammed 5.7 making 400HP it was a stroked 6.3L
Since you do a lot of the work yourself , and buy pulsar products , it’s minimal bro
Very true man! Definitely helps out 👌🏼
Wait until you start doing suspension than brakes than differential than gearbox 😂
I’ve done half of them already 😂 just the diff and box I haven’t touched
@@GAMBIN.BUILDS Man it adds up but we don't think of the money just the benefits
@@matman429 for sure 👌🏼
20k into it but it's still a heavy ass taxi. It won't even run a 9 second pass. Once a taxi, always a taxi. Good engine, shit chassis.
Go race it and see if it really makes 800hp!!!!!!! If it does it should run 9.5 147mph
A few more factors go into racing, doesn’t mean it’ll run that time but should see a high 9 if it gets the right 60 foot 👌🏼
@@GAMBIN.BUILDS 650-670hp In a fg should go 10.0/9.9 140mph
800hp is 9.3 145mph+ pass
@@barrakingbeatz7794 I guess we will find out when the weathers finally good enough to hit the strip 👌🏼
Me pretending I understand any of this 🤓
Shitbox barras 🤣
I’m so excited man. I’ve been messaging you on instagram to. Looking forward to this video.
