Rib Yuhki's vocal range is insane. He is literally the best metal screamer I have ever heard. They are also releasing a new album on June 1st

    The album is called: "MOGARI"
Album came out 2 days ago and the remake of "Yomi yori" just steal the show for me.
    It's fantastic!
Just give it a listen and you will find out.

I love this band's work, and this album is so good. Totally worth the wait

Good lord! That was initially as confusing as their band name, but once my brain settled in it was great!

It was fun to listen to. Could not get a grip on the song because so much was happening. Though I liked some of the elements, the structure was too complicated for me. Edit: Gave it a second listen, things cleared up a bit, but still not my cup of tea.

I felt that too before I got a bit more used to the song, their other songs are probably more easy listens

This is really late but incase you were still wondering the album is called MOGARI - Shi E Fukeru Omoi Wa Rikujoku Sura Kurai, Kanata No Sei Wo Aisuru Tame Ni Inoti Wo Tataeru. (at least in romanization form)

Hey! A bit delayed, but might be useful information: deepL translator is overall way better than google one, so I would suggest trying it out! Also this band uses really obscure vocabulary/kanji (symbols), so not being able to get the meaning of the title 100% right is definitely not a big deal! Album is huge wall of sound, really unique instrumentally and vocally and as for the title: - 殯――死へ耽る想いは戮辱すら喰らい、彼方の生を愛する為に命を讃える――。would mean more or less: - Mourning - the thought of indulging in death eats up even the shame and celebrates life for the love of life beyond.

This is the wrong song from this Albumn to review. I would have gone with the opening track or the longest one.

i agree that some of their other tracks from the album are very well structured tracks and some of their finest work. However this track (named Goku btw) is probably the best kind of taster if you will,it very well demonstrates all of their music in a short period making it better for someone who hasn’t heard them before to appreciate

Firstly, 10/10 for their logo ! They started off really brutal then went into full 'tortured emotions, anime theme song' mode in the verses, or what I'm assuming are the verses. Full marks also for drama. Liked it but did not love it. Like a fine raku tea bowl - well crafted. Cheers Hedgy ! btw The CEO of Ikea was just elected president of Sweden. He should have his cabinet assembled by the end of the week.

I agree your not a reactor, your a reviewer. A youtube critic, if you will.
To me parts of the song sounded very DadaRoma, which isn't a bad thing.

Their latest full length with this song in it just came out yesterday
I would say this is the weakest song in the album

Yeah and I'm so glad. I listened to the album and was like, damn all these other songs are so much better. I wonder why they didn't take one of the others to make a video, pandemonic night parade would've been awesome

    • @YURI-OFFICIAL

i wouldn’t say weakest but this does very well demonstrate all they have to offer as a band, like a taster

O, I usually like melodeath, but this was a bit too chaotic for me. The melodic choruses of most Japanese bands are certainly not written for me. Cheers anyway.

    • @BroadwayRonMexico

I describe their stuff less as melodeath, and more as a fusion of symphonic power metal and deathcore
