Me watching Jackie complain that the water bottle isn't to scale because it doesn't fit in the lunch box with my 40oz bottle that would never fit in a lunch box next to me 👀
This!! ⬆️💯😂🤯 My 1st thought was how many water bottles are actually made to fit in a lunchbox?! I've never seen one personally! x

I stopped the video just to comment this, but you beat me to it. I had lunch boxes of different sizes, never once did my water bottle even come close to fitting in any.
Once upon a time, lunchboxes use to come with thermos (water bottles that could hold hot or cold liquids) and they would often match each other. I had a Lion King one myself and then a Batman and Joker one as a collectible later. This was big in the 80’s and 90’s (probably other decades too). I think that’s the idea she has for them and not really the modern water bottles that are way bigger now.
I never thought of that.. i'am not using lunch boxed so i wouldn't probably realize this any time soon 😂
If I am not mistaken the reason the Rapunzel bag had the stuff in another bag is because they couldn't put a stopper since there was no zipper. I've heard they do that to make it harder to steal the contents of the mystery bags. Both the stoppers and the secondary baggies are to deter thieves. They would do this sort of thing to collections I'd purchase when I was younger. It can be annoying but it is helpful to know if stuff has been tampered with and to know you are getting what you payed for.

To the silhouette instead of character: the smaller it gets the less detail available, so characters with more intricate features won't translate as well as a character as simple as hello kitty. I think that might be a big reason the character isn't on those things.
It's also pretty on brand for Disney merch to be more symbolic than direct character reproduction in general.
I actually prefer the silhouettes and the patterns and less direct representation.
But , I think that they could do better than they ARE doing and I want more character pictures than just the silhouettes because the pictures show them in real "life" just as they are in the movies !!!! To me , when they use the silhouettes , that tells me that they are being lazy and not using the actual pictures of the characters !!!!
Don’t forget it saves them on cost to print items using less colors. I think it 2 or 3 colors is included and each color after that is an extra cost
I wonder if there are licensing tiers---using symbols and silhouettes are of a cheaper licensing tier compared to using the actual characters.

I think the whole point of the compacts, brushes, and a sleeping mask, phone, ect. is to go with your dolls, that's why the bags are so small, it's so you can use the stationary for your dolls, or keep it for yourself
Right? It’s always a complaint of hers and others, but I’m fairly certain these are for dolls.
Also, these are mainly for children, I can guarantee at least one stuffed animal somewhere is gonna be using that bag and compact lol.

Yes. As each item comes out of the bag I'm thinking which doll or pony I can use these items with. Loved the sleep mask. Have we seen that in any other real littles bags yet?
It's probably also to get kids to want the dolls to match the mini items. If they didn't have them already.
She can't understand that the main target audience for the product are kids... It's always the same complain, but kids would be very happy with brushes, water bottles, compacts for their dolls
I know you hate when they're wrapped in tissue rather than blind bags, but I kinda love that they are using less plastic... especially with how much the older boxes use! 😂
realistically, you didnt need the plastic. they could of just put the items in the bag without wrapping the items in anything
She also complained about the plastic bags, tho. It's not the material she's complaining about, it's the fact that they've stopped placing the items in the bag, so she could just take them out of the bag directly - like she does in the video after removing the tissue paper

@@christypls And I agree! Especially if it fits with the aesthetics of the bag. Like the Mirabelle one was colorful and chaotic, so it was perfect for the characters. Meanwhile Rapunzel was a lot more subtle out the gate.
I understand the esthetic part a bit. But I do agree with Jackie, you pay for the representation of the Disney movie and character. If I want esthetic items, I can easily buy a little backpack, a notepad, a pencil and other items. If you buy something specifically for the caracter you should get that. For me not having the caracter makes it not worth the extra money.
The reason there’s not so much actual characters as there are silhouettes and symbols is because the designs are fairly complex character designs, and they can be somewhat hard to make look nice at such a small scale. To use your comparison to Hello Kitty, her design is extremely simple and easy to communicate, mostly because she’s designed to be slapped on us much and as huge a variety of merch as possible. Disney characters have too look nice in their films first, and on merch second.
I feel similarly but to play devil's advocate, I'm confused why they went for Mirabel and the Encanto folks but didn't do Rapunzel? Feels inconsistent to not do all silhouettes or all detailed.
@@toristormy i was thinking maybe there is some licensing differences between older and newer disney movies? i think they did actual characters for some older movies though so idk! (correct me if i’m wrong, i haven’t seen all the backpack videos!)
frozen and tangled are only a few years apart, but maybe it has pictures because it’s frozen two and not the first movie?
My dream, if I ever have enough money, is to have all my stuff- blowdryer, humidifier, toaster, popcorn maker, rugs, tv, clocks,lamps...you get the picture- have Hello Kitty on it!
But , Disney is so big that you would think that they COULD use the characters instead of just the silhouettes on their products !!!!

Pascal (the Chameleon) actually was there! In the corner of the notebook there is a silhouet of him.
I have never had a water bottle that fit in my lunchbox. There are also a lot of people (collectors and kids) that like silhouettes better since when full characters are usually used, they can't hold detail or good details. Plus I don't think either real littles or Disney will change anything based on what one person wants.
Here’s my guess for the silhouettes instead of the character, less chances of errors in the print job. The smaller the image, the harder it is to get details correct and the more chances of a misprint.
but the encanto one has characters so it can be done and done well at that. so idk

I honestly think they believe these are bought for kids most times.. like the mirror for a child to play pretend, the brush because the child would have some type of doll to brush its hair and the eye mask for a doll to plat bedtime with. Marketed for both children and disney loving adults but the items inside are more for children in mind
They're designed for kids, marketed towards them and literally sold in a toy store. It's not an adult collectors item but genuinely a toy for little girls, so .. yeah those items actually make perfect sense^^

I just came for the backpacks for my 6 to 8 inch stuffed toys but the stuff on the inside is a nice bonus 😊.
I never care if I get limit edition items but I’m so disgruntle that Jackie is NOT GETTING THEM! She has done so many of these, she deserves the special items!!! 🤬

It looks like the Frozen II one is an over night bag rather than a backpack, thats why the eye mask, brush, and compact
Elsa had trouble sleeping at the beginning of the film just before into the unknown song ... so she might have needed an eye mask. XD
The sleep mask is for the people who couldn't go to sleep while Elsa was singing so late at night 😂😂
I don't think the items are advertised as stationery anymore. They seem to say "mini surprises". So for that reason the extra bits and bobs that can be used for playtime isn't bad at all. I think kids would get more use out of that than a roll of tape or stapler. Its cute! 😊
I'm not sure if anyone else has said this, but I'm pretty sure they wrap the stuff in the bags without zippers to stop things from falling out. Like the tangled bag, it didn't have a zipper so they wrapped the things inside.
Tangled is forever one of my favorites.

Tangled is one of my favorite movies (not even just Disney movies, all movies 🙂) but the Encanto set was my fav 🥰 that little pencil pouch? And the adorable stickers too

I think they do the silhouettes because it's less detailed and therefore easier to print. One color of ink. No ink registration to worry about so faster to produce: aka Lazy and Cheap.
To be honest, I feel like the lunchbox and the water bottle word to scale because I’ve never had a lunch box. They could fit a whole water bottle inside of it may be a plastic disposable water bottle, but not a reusable water bottle.
Speaking as someone roughly her age, Jackie is from a time when hard-sided lunch boxes often came with thermoses that matched and fit inside. Might be hard to face that it isn't the case anymore 😆
The Encanto one is so adorable! I like that little Mirabel in the corner, i find it better that if she was all over the bag. And i'am so glad Isa was there, i like her so much for some reason i really don't know why 😂😅
Also i don't mind the things and bags being more symbolic because then i don't have to feel obnoxious, like i'am slapping it into peoples faces. Who knows knows, who doesn't don't even have to notice it
The silhouette on the tangled notebook and lunchbox looks like an Aurora (sleeping beauty) silhouette that they added hair to.
Erasers (and pencils) in character shapes get disturbing when half used. I like that Disney avoided that
Right? Half a face would be SUPER weird. Plus it's still movie relevant designs.
Tangled is by far my favourite movie of these 3. I think my favourite bag was the Encanto one, the items were super adorable.

The tangled backpack disappointed me a lot ☹️ Especialy because there were only silhouettes ☹️

Tangled is my absolute favourite.. I’m soo obsessed with Rapunzel… I grew my hair so long it reaches my knees. I have also introduced my self as Rapunzel’s cousin to small children who are really impressed with the length of my hair. It really makes their day.
I love Encanto!!! Unfortunately, I am not really interested in owning the handbags/backpacks. I still enjoy watching you unbox them!!!
I think the plastic things on the zipper could be a theft deterrent.
The symbol in tangled bag is important to the character story. Encanto and Frozen 2 (being a redesign to make them know at this size) got simplified character designs as well as the movie design because they knew they were going to sell toy (with small size because of trend) while tangled, princess & frog and Frozed 1 was design to sell doll size toys and costumes. And you can also see all the details took out on the stickers and notebook in the encanto. They are not just be cheap (not denying that fact) it also based on if they can keep the design with out compromising the know character. It the same with logo, you ask for what it going to be use on to see the smallest size to start with. Everything that design is all based on the sizes that the designer is given with characters it also was a given if it goes small the shadow of the character has be reconisable that was what the past standard were.

Hi Jackie, Happy Friday! I totally agree with you, they did great on Encanto but failed miserably with Tangled and Frozen. The frozen was awesome and it was a terrible disappointment that they didn't add more stuff in the bag. I just wanna cry! So anyway, have a great rest of your day, hugs and love!

I'm guessing the reason why Disney characters aren't on Real Littles is because of the cost of licensing and usage. I can only imagine that it is CRAZY expensive to use full characters while also keeping the cost of the bag down only to $15.

Wow! Out of the 3 bags Encanto was the best bag! We got characters and STICKERS!!! 😍😍🎉 Frozen 2 and Tangled bags were let downs I totally agree that they should of added more in the Frozen handbag there was a lot of unused space! 🥺🥺
It's between Tangled and Encanto for my favorite recent Disney film. Mirabel has a special place in my heart though since we share the same birthday and I had an amazing character experience when I went to Disneyland

I’ve heard that Disney requires company to be below a certain quality for anything that they sell so that the parks and the Disney website has the highest quality so you’ll buy directly from them. I wonder if that’s why we mostly get silhouettes and symbolic things

There's nothing to improve tho. It's products designed by professionals specifically to match the target audience - girls age 6-9. Not adults.

The eye mask could've been added because people have dolls and Disney is known for having Disney dolls you can play with and collect. That's my only guess...

I know it’s stationary, but I think it’s also supposed to be for Barbies of some sort. Like stationary for them and like things for them to use like the sleeping mask, hairbrush, the mirror or the water bottle. You get what I mean? It’s for kids to play with their Barbies.

I don't get the brush for Elsa either. In the Rapunzel bag, the brush made thematic sense, since her magic hair plays a very big role in the story (and we even see her brush her hair once XD)
Encanto, Frozen 1&2, Tangled... It's a tie because I love them both.

I would definitely say that the Encanto bag had the best stuff to use and loved that they had characters in it. They always do Tangled wrong. Also, Anna never gets enough credit.
I like the Rapunzel bag the most... but with the content from the Encanto One.. only themed in Rapunzel and the pen from the Frozen one.
I’d rather not have the characters… only because I don’t like most Disney movies lol. But I like cute little things❤️ They are also really good for dolls. The items in the bag as well as the bags. I would definitely reuse the packaging as well. Doll enthusiasts would appreciate all these items I feel.

My favorite order is the same as yours. Also... Huntsville Alabama might as well be Canada. We get everything last. Even Costco doesn't give us the good stuff every time. I was lucky to get the giant bearded dragon squshmallow.

Embroidery is designs sewn on with thread, and as far as I know, embossing is designs that pop out, engraving is designs carved in
