Honestly I would feel honored that they named their Chihuahua after you because most people treat their Chihuahuas like they are their own children and they love them so much so maybe that means that that friend thinks highly of you.
As a chihuahua owner I can confirm that this is true. My chi is my baby. But just like a child, a chihuahua needs parenting. A chi is like a stubborn toddler. They need alot of discipline. A chi is a small dog with a HUGE personality. They are a big dog in a small body.
The "surprise" that came with the chihuahua is a bag/purse, cause when you tried to put it around the neck there was extra room, which would have fit the waist perfectly
My sister and I had a hamster named Jackie and she was the best hamster ever. She was so fluffy and round and super chill. She use to sit on the desk in front of us when we used to use the desktop computer (throw back to when we first got high speed internet lol) and we never had to worry about her running off. She was happy with some treats and some petting once in awhile... I think about her every time I watch your videos because of the name lol

My entire family have Chihuahuas (total of 6) but they have a bad breed rep. Its the little dog syndrome they have bark loudly to ward off predators and of course called ankle biters for a reason lol 😂
@@shibadawn Yes exactly and a lot of chihuahua owners severely mistreat their dogs because they are "little" so they constantly push their boundaries and bring them to the point they feel the need to always be on attack because they don't feel safe. It's really sad because they are such a sweet cuddly breed 😔
My rescued chihuahua and the others in my family have never ever had that snappy, barky, aggressive behavior that people associate with them. Moreover, my Lola was timid and shy and exhibited behaviors quite far from the “big dog in a small body” kind of personality. Sure, some can be protective of their owners but any dog can. I 100% think that a dogs behavior is substantially based on how they’re treated, with just a bit of their behavior and demeanor dictated by their breed genetics.
I wish they would include cats in sets like this. I would love to collect cute little miniature cats, but they’re so hard to find. It’s usually all dogs. I love dogs, but not enough to collect a bunch of different breeds. I do collect tiny cute schnauzers and schnauzer plushies. But as you can imagine, those are hard to find too, lol.
Breyer has Pocket Box Cats which are super teeny tiny figurines! They're in a matchbox size container with a little window scene inside so they're easy to store/display in or out of their little cardboard box and each bag has two cats plus a small accessory. It's not articulated or the right size to be a pet for a Barbie doll (though they'd work for a small action figure/figurine) but they're very cute, relatively cheap for a mystery bag, and there are a bunch of different cat breeds. lol of course with cats the details are minor but everything and they're so tiny most of that gets lost but they're nice quality if you just want a small plastic thing to collect. If you're into customization, you could probably paint them though you'd need a fine-tipped permanent/paint marker or a very small paint brush. You could probably buy about half of the sell-point display box and repaint any dupes just a touch or give them away and not feel too bad. 😸
I think the first dog came with a fanny pack, so it's supposed to go around the waist. And that was intended to be the "surprise" item, although I'm pretty sure each dog's individual "surprise" item is the same unless you get the special edition one
The one great thing about Chihuahuas is that they all don't fit the stereotype their breed carries. ♥️ Many are loving, loyal dogs that don't shake or yap at everything that moves.
Many are not loving because of overbreeding! So, you are right they are suppose to be that but overbreeding has caused them to be shaking little terrorizes. The proper breed are loving and protective. Also not scared of nothing. Sad what over breeding does.
It also depends on the owner, some people purposefuly annoy their poor chihuhuas and push their boundaries because they think their reaction is funny...
I am in a group of fancy Chihuahua moms who all have well behaved Chihuahuas that go to dinner and brunch with. The same ladies also put on a wedding for animal rescue charity between two of thier dogs. And that was complete with designer dresses and tuxes.
@@Crow29803 It's not overbreeding. It's people not taking the time to properly socialize and train their small dogs, it's a small dog issue in general! Most see no reason to properly train their small dogs as they're "too small to cause harm" and often aw at their growling..which causes them to of course be aggressive as their owners taunt them into it and do nothing to build their confidence. A properly socialized and trained chihuahua is confident and very loving!

I'm 100% a cat person, I still really like these because they remind me of how much I loved dressing my cats in doll clothes when I was a little girl. If I were a dog person I'd definitely pick these up. I love clothes I studied fashion & costume design in college so I'd prefer clothes over teeny tiny plastic dog accessories like bones & a bowl that would easily get lost.
@Cera The Triceratops you can volunteer for your local animal shelter to walk dogs and some even do dogs day outs that you can take a dog out for a trip to the pet store or pupachinos so they're not in cage all the time
The collar and leash should be separate pieces, so the dog can wear the collar without the leash. Like normal. Not set up so when you pull on the leash, the dog is un-collared and can run away. Jewelry makers can make a collar and leash with chains and jump rings, etc. A rhinestone collar would be cute on some of those dogs, or spike collars, for a toy breed, haha haha. Actually on tiny dogs like that you usually see a body harness type of collar, that you can attach a leash to. I had one of those for my CAT.
I had one of those for my rabbit. He went on vacations with us. Flower had minor issues so I wouldn't leave him home with the other rabbits. My grandparents loved us going to them with the family dog, my cat, and my bunny. One year it was the dog, 2 cats, and 2 bunnies. I was so lucky to have understanding and animal loving family. There was another cat and lots more rabbits at home. Our awesome neighbor took care of them. LUCKY!!
I tried a harness on my cat too. He had incredibly narrow shoulders though so finding one that fit well on him was a pain, and then he'd just lay down and never move with it on so we never got to do walks. Was still funny watching him try to figure out wtf I'd put on him though. (My poor, long suffering cat!)
I love how you pronounce Yorkshire! 💕 BTW, Yorkshire is an area/region (the greatest place) in England. So there are different things that come from here and are named after it; Yorkshire Terrier, Yorkshire Puddings, Yorkshire Tea etc. 👍🏻

I've always said with these kinds of toys, or just any toy really, that you pay for the packaging more than the toy lol. Over $10 for one of those and it doesn't come with much is so ridiculous.
One year ago i would completely agree with you on the chihuahua topic. But this a year a good friend of me got one and i fell in love. The moment that small baby fell a sleep in my arms i was in love. Everytime she sees me she gets really excited and loves to be cuddled. But i have to admit she is the only nice chihuahua i ever met.

Hey, Jackie - a Cavoodle is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle (usually a miniature or “toy” poodle). Apparently they’re really friendly, although I’ve never met one, so I can’t tell you this from personal experience 😉😉

Instead it opens them up to genetic issues of both breeds combined, which leaves the pup worse off in every way possible. People do it because they think its "cute", because they're poorly educated about genetics, and because it's easy money. I mean hekk doodle owners think my purebred standards are doodles because they don't believe that poodles can be multicolored, have patterns, or come with LONG FUR. Literally had people tell me that poodles have a "naked face" - bro that's what you take them to the groomer for. They don't just magically have no hair on face and feet, geez lol The concept of doodling is "Poodles grow hair indefinitely like Human, so they're low shedding, Huskies are cute - so if I mix a Husky (who sheds like crazy) with a poodle, it must look like a husky who doesn't shed!" which is how absolutely none of that works. But they sell it like that to their buyers and when the pup turns out to shed like crazy, it's "oops, guess they took after the husky more than the poodle" As long as they make $$$ those people don't care. And that's .. not the point of breeding.

I had a Maltese X Chihuahua called Buffy and she was an absolute psycho, so many people were more scared of her than they were of my German Shepherd called Misty that I had at the same time as the little dog, Misty was such a sweet giant, never had a problem with her. I loved Buffy so much, but to be honest I'd never get another chihuahua again
I just wanted the corgis so badly and I got her. Love her. I just pop off her head to put the collar on them. They are perfect for Barbie because they don’t have that cartoon look that Barbie’s pets now have with the oversized head. So, I don’t mind spending the $10 for them. I do want the yorkie and dachshund. But only if I have the extra cash.
I love all the special effects that are added and I love her sense of humor! ❤️ You never know what to expect with Jackie.... And by the way I think everybody has had a bad experience with a Chihuahua... I tried to pet one once and it bit me! 😳

I got two chis,one loves everyone and wants pets (she was in a back yard most her pup life and was so scared to be picked up she yelped the first time i did and ran for the first few months if you tried) now she runs up to you and ists down waiting to be picked up....my chi who has been with us all her pup life hates everyone and will bark none stop and god help you if you move her while she is asleep..just depends on the chi xD
I have a Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix). She's a mini valkyrie. So fierce, determined and doesn't take nonsense from strangers. Funny enough I've learned a lot from her on how to be more assertive. 🤣🤣🤣♥️🥰🐶

Just so you know. As someone who's lived in Yorkshire since I was 6 now 38. I'm always loving the way people say British place names if they don't know. So Yorkshire is said like York sher. We say things rather lazy I think.

Maybe it's the stereotype of British people, that they all talk with some posh accent. Though living in Yorkshire I've never heard anyone British people speak like that. I was thinking the same thing. We have three ragdolls (one for each of my kids) and they would love if they can have their mini cat.

Hey, Jackie - a Cavoodle is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle (usually a miniature or “toy” poodle). Apparently they’re really friendly, although I’ve never met one, so I can’t tell you this from personal experience 😉😉
Never heard it called a Cavoodle before; people in my area call them Cavapoos
@@avanguline I've met many berniedoodles and labradoodles...and for some reason people like mixing doodles with labs or st Bernard's...and they are absolutely huge

I really hope the outcross stops their inbred health problems as well as gives them better personality. If it just compounds them with poodle problems idk why people would do it
@@snakewithapen5489 No such thing as "inbred health problems" in ethically bred purebreds. Controlled linebreeding and inbreeding are not the same. Instead it opens them up to genetic issues of both breeds combined, which leaves the pup worse off in every way possible.
People do it because they think its "cute", because they're poorly educated about genetics, and because it's easy money.
I mean hekk doodle owners think my purebred standards are doodles because they don't believe that poodles can be multicolored, have patterns, or come with LONG FUR. Literally had people tell me that poodles have a "naked face" - bro that's what you take them to the groomer for. They don't just magically have no hair on face and feet, geez lol
The concept of doodling is "Poodles grow hair indefinitely like Human, so they're low shedding, Huskies are cute - so if I mix a Husky (who sheds like crazy) with a poodle, it must look like a husky who doesn't shed!" which is how absolutely none of that works. But they sell it like that to their buyers and when the pup turns out to shed like crazy, it's "oops, guess they took after the husky more than the poodle"
As long as they make $$$ those people don't care. And that's .. not the point of breeding.
As someone who grew up on dolls I have to say that the connectors for the collars are and always have been a massive pain and they rarely stay closed properly

I had a Maltese X Chihuahua called Buffy and she was an absolute psycho, so many people were more scared of her than they were of my German Shepherd called Misty that I had at the same time as the little dog, Misty was such a sweet giant, never had a problem with her. I loved Buffy so much, but to be honest I'd never get another chihuahua again

I just wanted the corgis so badly and I got her. Love her. I just pop off her head to put the collar on them. They are perfect for Barbie because they don’t have that cartoon look that Barbie’s pets now have with the oversized head. So, I don’t mind spending the $10 for them. I do want the yorkie and dachshund. But only if I have the extra cash.

I got two chis,one loves everyone and wants pets (she was in a back yard most her pup life and was so scared to be picked up she yelped the first time i did and ran for the first few months if you tried) now she runs up to you and ists down waiting to be picked up....my chi who has been with us all her pup life hates everyone and will bark none stop and god help you if you move her while she is asleep..just depends on the chi xD

So Yorkshire is said like York sher. We say things rather lazy I think.
We have a state called New Hampshire here that's pronounced Hamp-sher, so Americans SHOULD know

Maybe it's the stereotype of British people, that they all talk with some posh accent. Though living in Yorkshire I've never heard anyone British people speak like that. I think the best way to go is to realise a lot of people are lazy with how they Pronounce things so we're never going to put that much effort into words like Yorkshire. Lol

Idea...turn the bag into a Toma case cut out the plastic protector with an exacto knife and make a Lil hole for the buttons if needed. Boom case and a Lil friend
