The most important thing I took away from watching your video compared to others you say you want to boil it, you want it to reduce it, bring it to a rolling boil until it thickens I made 4 successful jelly’s after taking your advice to heart. I only started making jams and jelly a couple years ago during the pandemic. Your advice was Direct and to the point for success. Thank you.

Thank you!! So glad I could help. I’ve sat over simmering “reductions” too many times…BOIL baby BOIL!!! Thank for watching!! So much more on the way

@@dinnerpartytonight I made some jams a couple years ago for the first time they where ok some firmer then other but I didn’t know what I did wrong but after finding your video it hit home and after making a couple recipes and they turned out perfectly I know what I did wrong a couple years ago. No one wants to make syrup. Yeah boil baby boil bring it to a rolling boil let it reduce until you see a visual difference then add your pectin and POW you should be ready to start canning. You took a lot of the guess work out of it I wonder if it’s ready yet or not don’t play with it boil it !. Thanks again

I didn't see you wash your hands after handling habaneros. Don't touch your parts. ....Pepper Jelly is the best! Thanks for honoring the late great Madeline Kahn. She was a brilliant comic (but oddly had a very serious personality per her bio). Love your amaryllis, too.

Where have you been hiding! Just happened to have found your channel looking for hot pepper jelly. Thanks so much for your originality and humor. At first I was a little baffled but then I was able to follow along with a huge smile. Love making jellies looking for inspiration and affirmation on not adding pectin. New sub, and I look forward to binging.

I tried using stevia for the first time rather than sugar and I got a crazy amount of foam compared to using sugar and it never really thickened up like sugar does. So I added 2 packs of liquid pectin and it still looks questionable if it doesn’t set up properly I will just make it again and toss the bag of stevia in the garage. I tried it in something else and it to was questionable compared to using sugar because I to made two batches of that one with sugar one with stevia.
Has anyone else had a bad or questionable experience using stevia making jams or jellies or anything else? I would appreciate any feedback thanks.

00:30-00:34: My thoughts, exactly. I’ve heard of red pepper jelly, but never tried it. Looking forward to this vlog!

I tried making the recipe again and this time using sugar it turned out perfectly. Next time I will add a little more heat to it for my liking.
Thanks for the recipe it’s yummy 👍.

You can use hot pepper jelly with limas and corn (frozen is fine) to make a quick skillet soucatash!! Just saute with 2 tablespoons each butter and oil, season with sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Add 2 tablespoons of the jelly and stir in until melted. Serve.🤓🤓🤓

Ooh the hotter the better! My youngest and I made some chilli plum chutney a little while back. But this looks great! And the jars. You really ought to be sponsored by some of these kitchen equipment people. I have lost track of the number of utensils I have bought on your recommendation. Haha. ❤

Since late autumn, I have been accumulating canning equipment, including jars, lids, bands. Come spring, I will switch to prepper mode and I'm going to can, can, can (because I Kahn) ... including meat and fish. I'm a Stonewall Kitchen devotee ... with cream cheese ... I can't take the heat. When I worked part-time in Produce, my Mexican customers loved to laugh at me when in horror I watched them eat raw habaneros ... You heard me. RAW! Onion-Garlic jelly is also good. Somewhere, I have an old old recipe for just garlic jelly. You infuse a shit-load of garlic in hot vinegar ... and from that you make a jelly. OMG ... Makes the best cold-pork sandwich. Thanks for posting.
