Brother? AmeriKKKa doesn’t “make” anything now. The YT politicians have sold ALL manufacturing jobs to countries like China and Mexico. We don’t even make the GD #2 pencil anymore Germany does
@magnoliahampton7298 hello and thank you for your question. You can come to Japan several ways. The best way for you is to book a ticket and come here on a travel visa up to 3 months. I make Japan videos, if you don't mind please subscribe for advice and Japan content. I love it here
I left in 2010 so i can relate And thank God we remained longer than 2 years abroad because after 2 years of wishing i could move back, my mind changed and i didn't want to anymore. So as a result my dad had to keep getting extension permissions (thankfully all were permitted)
Portugal is a great country to live in Europe. Amazing climate, food, education and health system. You can get the NHR/D7 visa which is easy to obtain. You can also get a mortgage in Portugal, avoiding the current abusive rents, with only 20% or 30% downpayment showing your 1040F, paystubs and credit score. Remember to maintain your job until signing the deed here in Europe (process can he done entirely remotely using a local lawyer) then you are free to leave rhe US! If you want to retire on the next 5 to 10 years you can buy now and rent the property until you come. Happy Easter!
I’m thinking about leaving America for good. It’s becoming to unrealistic to live here and wasted unnecessary money in a country that is not beneficial to me.
You are correct brother! I left America back in 2020 and I now live in Tanzania. I have lived here for 4 years now. I feel free in this land. I do not experience racism, and I feel so much safer here. Great decision!
Thank you for keeping it real with us. We're all getting hit over the head with these prices, the good thing is being in a position to pay these prices. I feel really bad for those who are not in the position to pay for their basic needs.
I left 2 years ago, and was the best decision in my life. I personally don't think America is the best country in the world, it's far from that. It is the best country in the world to make money hands down. Only place I know where you can start from zero and become a millionaire. Other than that it's pretty mediocre or bad in all other aspects of life. Make your money there and spend it elsewhere. It goes further.

I'm a U.S.citizen who has lived abroad for over 20 years. I used to think I'd eventually return to the States once I reached retirement age. Now that I'm 60, I cannot imagine that ever happening. Living in a developing country isn't perfect, but there are so many advantages. I love the USA, but I'll never be able to afford to live there.
My dream right now is moving back to Taiwan, start a American Pub. American theme, American menu, American beer. I miss the America from 1999! I think many expat would love to come in for a drink!
Hey Richard, I'm a fairly new subscriber and a 52 year old white guy. I heard about the history of slavery as a kid and I guess I just figured it was all in the past and was just kind of oblivious to it all. I hate to think there are people of color here in the USA who would want to leave in part, due to the history of slavery. I served in the Army with a lot of people of color, all of them I liked and all of them made a positive contribution to the USA. I wish the past was different. I really don't know what to say other than I respect you as a fellow man and wish you the best.
respect your comments Paul..you seem like a good guy. Just want to give you some insight as a black man just because were not in chains and on a Plantation does not mean blacks are not feeling to affects to this day. The police killings of innocent blacks, lynchings and mysterious murders of young blacks men like to one who was dismembered in Mississippi recently. discrimination in various forms both subtle and in your face...i can go on and on.. Most blacks just deal with it its our norm..most whites could never understand what we deal with. My point is...... slavery is still impacting the black community in the US to this day.
@@bondson0094 So what you’re saying is that slavery has directly impacted you, affects your daily life and hinders you from getting ahead or making it in America? Have you tried extensively visiting or living in other countries? Try South American, Asian, Middle Eastern, African countries and you’ll quickly realize what’s great about the US and how much real freedom we actually have. You have no idea….
@@JCizzleSoCal No what he saying is slavery has impacted large communities of black citizens And the horrendous things that was done has affected the lives ,laws were implemented To destroy black families and that's not something that you just overlook it affects communities Still to this day In America. It has nothing to do with any other place in the world Especially when black people Were a part of building the wealth in this country. and part of building the foundation Of a place where White supremacist minded people profited and committed evil atrocities. So the question is what are you saying?
What does slavery have to do with the year 2023? As a black man, I have traveled to 63 U.S. cities and 32 States. And I cant get enough of this amazing country. The only current problem I see are all these aliens flooding into the country.
I’m not a person of color and I feel the same way. Time for a place where people treat each other with kindness, and they are not chasing money constantly, a country that invests in the health and education of its citizens.
@@__Ryan_ maybe but it's a matter of picking your poison , so to speak. Every country has its pros and cons . In the end it boils down to what matters most to us especially at a certain point of your life . For me it would be tranquility , sense of purpose , health , safety and food.
Every day I think of leaving. I just don't want to move by myself. Also, I don't want to leave my sons. I am considering getting a tourist visa so that I can live in Lisbon, Portugal for 60 days, just to see what it's like. I also think of moving to Mexico. Some people say that it is dangerous in Mexico, but one thing about Mexico the officials their can tell you were not to go to be safe. In the United States you can be in any city and lose your life to senseless gun violence. I would love to move to a place where children can be free to feel safe in school. You don't hear of children being gunned down in their classrooms in Mexico. I follow so many women of color on TH-cam who have left the U.S.A.
Today I saw where Shaquilla Robinson murdered in Los Cabos, Mexico; our authorities will not be filing charges. If Mexican Authorities don’t arrest and charge those responsible than going to live in Mexico should heavily weigh how they deal with crime.
GUN VIOLENCE IS THE AFFECTS OF THE MINDS THAT THE GOVERNMENT SEEKS TO INDOCTRINATE AND NOT THE GUN ITSELF WHICH CONTINUES TO GUARANTEE THE PEACEFUL LAW ABIDING AMERICAN CITIZEN FREEDOM! THE ANSWER IS TO BAN TOGETHER AGAINST THE DANGEROUSLY MARXIST LEANING GOVERNMENT AS AMERICAN CITIZENS; NOT FLEE THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH FULL OF FREEDOM LOVING, FREE THINKERS WHO LOVE EACHOTHER! ❤️🤍💙✝️❤️🤍💙🥰 🇺🇸
Actually in the school they aren't gunned down they disappear, thousands of students have disappeared done so by governmental individuals and this is all politics . you will see parents protesting and pleading to the president for justice and help to search for their son's and daughters which were never found lots of rumors and conspiracy . Many are taken for ransom.
I am a woman of color and I've always wanted to see what other countries have to offer. I was planning to go to nursing school in Ireland when Covid happened. Why I want to leave the US is because of treatment poc received. I love my country but it doesn't love me. When something or someone becomes toxic you remove it from your life.
I see how poc are treated in the school system. I have been teaching over 22 years and taught overseas for 8 of those years. And, I am very disappointed at how things have changed. I think the last few years have been the worst I have ever seen in my life. Blatant racism and exclusion in public schools, very scary what they are creating for the future.
@@hangingwiththegrlz4891 The USA is over. It is imploding now and has been since at least the year 2000. I was born and raised here. But cannot imagine staying here in my retirement years for monetary and cultural reasons.
Been gone for almost 5 years. I moved to Rio de Janeiro. Brasil has tons of issues, but the reduction of stress and the time to develop the things important to me has been invaluable. The US is home but if you have and make dollars, you can write the book of your life any way you want. Meet great people. For years you're going to realize almost everything you see is new, just like you're a baby coming into the world. That keeps you young and fresh. 😊
BRAZIL IS THE BESTIALITY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. ALSO FEMINIST COUNTRY. WOMEN HERE DO NOT LIKE MEN. THEY ARE SEXUALLY ATTRACTED TO HORSES AND NOT MEN! IT IS SO NICE TO BE A STALLION HORSE IN BRAZIL. THEY LIVE AWSOME LIVES, UNLIKE ME HERE IN POS AMERICA.
Portugal is what began my quest to venture there in the future is based on how they handled COVID. They didn’t mistreat foreigners abroad and kick them out of their country. They allowed them to stay and provided healthcare. Their President said this is not how you treat guests by kicking them out during a crisis.
You can make a ton of money in the USA however living here requires you to spend a ton too so how much do you keep at the end of the day? Inflation is extremely annoying and the banks constantly report how much money is in your account so they increase inflation rates as bank deposits go up. How on earth is this no stealing??!!
As a Black man, some place in Africa is the only destination I would consider for relocation. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely not worse than the US. Places like Ghana, Rwanda, Namibia, Tanzania and South Africa have a lot to offer in terms of beautiful landscapes, quality of life, peace of mind and lots of value for the US dollar.
Africa isnt for us brother we are americans from both south and north if its anywhere live in the rest of the americas central and south is way better if you have a start to purchase land and build house !!!
@@king-reaper8210 - I respectfully and completely disagree. I’ve been to Africa four times; no less than one month during each trip. LOVED it! Wealthy Europeans enjoy the amazing beachfront atmosphere much more than we do.
I hate the racist "white"/"black" BS so i'll just say i'm light skin. ANYONE referring to races and nationalities like colors from a box of crayons is a racist, whether or not they admit it or even know it is a completely different story. That said, I have a small number of followers on tik tok about 50K before i took a year break so probably lost quite a few followers. The 2nd country that follows me the most is people from Africa. They have really amazing people out there. ALOT of "white" people out there as well. All of that said, theres DOZENS of other countries you could move to and build and become happy with you and your family. You just seem very close minded. However, I wish you much success and blessings in ur life. 🕊
@@king-reaper8210 why Africa isn’t for AA? You would rather live in south and Central America? Well that fine. We are all entitled to live wherever we want to. Africa is the black race. It not perfect but it home to many of us. Alot of AA are doing great.
Richard, I was in the military for 26 years and spent a lot of time overseas, traveling back and forth from the Middle East, Korea, and Africa and I can tell you there are many places that offer Black people a better quality of life then here in america. The people treat you with respect, your not followed around by the cops, and people don't see you as a threat when your walking down the street. Everytime I come back to the states from one of my trips i feel depressed to be back in the states and can't wait till I have to go back out. I'm 50 and I've been thinking about it and probably will within the next few years, since my job allows me to live anywhere in the world. Many of my coworkers currently live abroad and don't have any plans to come back to the u.s., both Black and white, they said they've had enough of the bs that goes on in america, and want a safe place to live and raise a family.

@@dmavs4131 Ditto but I understand the topic here. I recently mentioned to my wife about retiring abroad. I’m black and she’s white, so it’s not about color but more so because other countries pay for good healthcare for the elderly.
I up and left the US in 1990 and lived in Finland for a decade. Great people and a beautiful country. I’m sure Sweden, Norway, etc. are nice, too. Peace of mind, mental clarity and a better quality of life can be had in these places. Money is considered a tool to live not something to be chased 100% of the time.

I have had enough of them... sorry. I am just tired, and I need to go home and be with my people.
I left the US on a three month trip to Europe in 1996. And now I only go back to visit my family. It was the best decision of my life. America is a country of division. I’m a human first, American second. I always have been. And living outside of America looking has only enforced that feeling. Being in the world, and being able to travel to different countries and experiencing different cultures is our God given right, and America has reduced being happy to owning things. I have wealthy friends and relatives in the US, and they tell me that I’m wealthy because I’m free. I’ve been all over Europe, Africa, even Russia (Siberia & Moscow), and the racial stigma that exists in America has not been a part of any of my travels. I would urge any American, especially a person of color to get out and see the world, because you never know where you’ll be happy unless you explore your options. The world belongs to all of us, and we should all enjoy it. Love your channel. May God continue to bless you, and all the best of success to you.
Lived in S. Korea, Germany, Japan and Australia. Quickly realized that America wasn't the greatest place on earth to live. I love America, but we can take notes from these other countries to make this country a better place.
Once you've made all the money you need, the usa becomes less appealing. You then begin to think about what else is out there. I had this revelation as well.
Tenured professor and business owner here. Quitting my job and selling everything to move to Japan. Quality of life is my motivation. I’m a person of color myself, Native American. Had it with the US.
I am with you brother, I have been trying to get my wife on board for about 5 years. Wasted 4 years in the military for a country that is trying to erase my history. Wouldn't piss on this place if it were on fire. I am so ready to leave. Thanks for the video post.

Richard, I live in Canada, its very expensive to live here as well and our healthcare system is really bad. Thailand is the best place to go. You can live like a king for about $1200. a month and their healthcare is amazing not to mention is very warm and the food is very cheap and so is eating out
I heard healthcare is very decent (not perfect) in Canada and that’s coming from someone who has lived there for 60 years. Also, Thailand is what you make of it. You can’t live like a king there unless your in a very rural area. But, Thailand can be cheap or expensive. All depends on what you want.

As a military vet who lived outside the US, if you can move GO FOR IT. Going to third world countries is incredible the people, the cities, the customs and in most places, they are OVERLY friendly. It's like going to another planet, everything is completely different from America.
I’m a vet who recently retired as well. And for the last few months, I’ve been asking myself the same questions Richard is talking about. Can’t get it out of my head. Here in America, it seems everyone is so disconnected from each other. Going through a divorce has only amplified my desire to move. Do I want to start all over here in America or is there a better place abroad where people treat each other better? Would you recommend any places?

I think about leaving the United States everyday for the same reasons that you've mentioned a better quality of life. I am tired of the violence and division that plague this country.
I'm proud that you're thinking of leaving the U.S. I made the decision to leave as well. I also looked at Portugal and also the Netherlands. However, after doing much research I found Africa to be the best choice. We have been lied to about Africa. It is a beautiful Continent that's plentiful in resources. Most of all I will not feel the pressures of being a woman of color, I can finally feel comfortable in my own skin. I will be around my ancestors, people who look like me. I've chosen to put my resources where they were originally intended. I recently heard an African brother say, you've suffered in America because that was never originally intended to be your home. I'm done.... I'm going HOME!!!

Reading these reviews I can see that so many of us (I mean all Americans) have been pondering the same thing. Richard made great points. If you take away the insatiable capitalism and non-stop consumption what is left? Some of us have the option to go somewhere better but unfortunately most don't. Many Americans wouldn't even accept that there are many places that are better than the US (there are many) because we have been indoctrinated into believing in American exceptionalism. We are also looking for a better place for our family.
America is exceptional compared to other countries..we have our problems but you have no idea ..don't let the media fool you..there's a reason why millions from even countries you want to migrate too are begging to come here ti the USA..we black Americans fail to see the bigger picture the scope of our advancement and the notion the reality that we are the greatest strongest country on earth and a black American can lead the way and embrace that..but we failed to do that with Obama..we failed he failed..now we got violent street gangs committing murders everyday destroying our historical legacy in our country..yall better wake up..Africa ain't calling for you ..the Philippines ain't calling for you..but you are in the greatest most infl country on earth and you want to leave because bread went up..wtf
America IS exceptional insofar as its government structure is concerned.its just been hijacked by communist and is made to be worse than it should be. it was designed to be ran by people with morals.
That sounds like my family's mindset. It is like a comfortable defeat mindset like there's nothing else to this life and thinking very limit with no spark nor enthusiasm and very basic. The good thing is that I never adopted that mindset and never will.
@ralphangel561 It's not a defeatist mindset at all. I don't live in fear, but when dark clouds are forming, there's a good chance it's going to rain. I worked for the government for decades, and part of my job was to study sociopolitical situations around the world and use that information to create risk and threat assessments. History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme. This country is in a more dire situation than most people understand. Jan 6 2020 proved that. That level of ignorance, disregard for the rule of law and a smooth transition of power was never supposed to happen here. Even worse, it was all based on one man spewing blatant lies. There's a large part of the population in this country that is basically a cult, and that never ends well. Just look at what happened with Hitler and Mussolini. Like I said before- history doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.
Mr Fain. I'm a big fan of your channel. I love the way you educate and express your views on economics, investments etc. In regards to Americans living abroad, I'm one of those expats who has been residing in Japan for 15 years. Back in the 2008 economic collapse, I lost me job and I had the golden opportunity to come to Japan and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. I'm a dude from the Bronx and I would never have thought that I would be living in another country, speaking reading and writing another language, especially a difficult one like Japanese. Now on the outside looking in, there were some things that were considered to be normal back in states, actually would be abnormal. The most obivious thing would be gun violence, crime, as you memtioned cost of living and important one HEALTH CARE, and overall quality of life. Now I'm not saying Japan and other countries don't have their problems, but the amount of people struggling back home is appalling. It seems like Americans basic living standards are in danger if not already. Many people have asked me would I want to go back? And the answer is No. Maybe Canada, someplace in Europe, New Zealand, somplace that just has a certain quality of life. Those who follow your channel and those whom may be reading this, just KNOW you have options. Do the research about where you want to go or be and most importantly don't be afraid of taking the needed steps to make it happen. Growth usually happens when we leave our comfort zones and please understand this, don't expect other countries to be like and do things like AMERICA. If you can accept this and understand this then I think the transition would be smooth. 👍👍👍👍
HAPPY YOUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN A GOOD ONE! However, I'll NEVER leave America because it is my home and I love the spirit of the people here! There are bad people wherever you go and America is not an exception; but it's free thinkers and non existent "racism" among the citizens (government is a different story for it is THEY who seek to divide and conquer, slowly marching toward their goal of stomping out the American spirit) is unique in all the world. WE THE PEOPLE are truly one big melting pot who love one another no matter what new lie the mainstream media is trying to convince us of THIS week! For MOST, it's apparent when an American steps outside her boarders! We are truly a nation of freedom lovers ❤️🤍💙✝️🙏🥰❤️🤍💙
Just last night I was watching your video “MAKE THESE 2 INVESTMENTS IN 2023 AND NEVER WORK AGAIN”and I had a question or two. (1) With the wealth you’ve acquired why are you still here and have you considered developing African countries?
Richard, first of all great presentation. As an American who has spent over 30 years overseas working for various U.S. agencies, I would have to say that the “quality of life” is FAR BETTER overseas then being here. People don’t care about each other in this country. “King Dollar” is all that matters in this society. Nothing else. When I was stationed in Italy for 3 years (USN Ret. Veteran here) the Italians had a phrase that went like this: Do you live to work? Or do you work to live? We Americans live to work!!! I would recommend Portugal to you. My wife and I have been there twice already and that country is fantastic. Out plan is to eventually live there in the future. Hope this helps.
I like what you are talking about. I have not been to Europe but I think the European governments are there to serve the people, more than serve itself. America's government is employer-employee. Thousands of ways to take your money and cause you to spent more time working than living.
@@eoleol4750 ALL nato nations ARE the American government! America's citizens however, are and have always been, free thinkers and we truly love eachother regardless of melanin content no matter what the latest divisive lie is that local mainstream media outlet is trying to convince you of! ❤️🤍💙❤️✝️❤️🙏❤️🥰❤️
@@eoleol4750 I am from Europe and governments are NOT there for serving people. Sorry but you are totally wrong. Reality: they are just humans, and politicians act like politicians everywhere. We also don´t have democracy like USA with power separation, in most countries corruption is top.
I agree I been thinking about leaving also I just got my passports not that long ago and I was born hear in America so I know it’s a hard decision and I’m 41 The only thing I’m worried about is I’m going to be going alone but the god in me is telling me I should leave before we have another shut down cause it’s getting weird and the time is ticking to many wars, ufo sighting according to TH-cam, the food is strait trash making people sick with carcinogen, etc just to much going on
From my own experience, I suggest you visit each of those countries for a month each in a Town/City where the locals live. Then pick the country you like based on your one month stay.
Ever since 2016 I have been yearning to move. I thought of Costa Rica, Italy & Portugal. America is not the world. There is so much culture and beauty to be found out there. I just wish I could afford to leave. Go to Portugal, Europe is such an amazing continent to discover.
You don't have to sell everything, I have property in and outside the U.S. I stay around 3-4 months out the U.S. per yr. I like having my property in the U.S. because I can come back home when I feel like it. Now, I usually can't stay more than 2 months in the U.S. without wanting to leave...
I just came back from Senegal 🇸🇳 I was surprised to see a lot African American r settling down away from racism inequality and rising cost of everything. I’m telling u our brothers and sisters from around the world need to come back home and build a strong and better place for blacks. Thanks
I moved to Cancun, Tulum Mexico for the Last 10 years along with my sister and her two children and the quality of food, love, culture, love for family, humblizm, and natural things to do from the tropical beaches, cenotes underwater rivers, and cost of living has changed my life for ever. I actually locked down the graphic design deal for Actor Vin Diesel while living in Mexico and I honestly believe I owe a lot to Mexico because of the peace and mentality and being out of the rate race of the United States. It gave me a clearer mind. Parents play at parks with there children on the weekdays, parks and beaches are always full with full family’s and children happy while in the United States the parks are empty because the parents are always working. Etc etc. I always enjoy listening to your channel my man, message me and come on down and me and my family will show you around 🏝️👍
I had never considered living anywhere else until 2020 happened and what is currently going on with politics in America. American policies, laws, and attitudes are made up of men. Men who have made causes which have inflicted suffering on so many people, and continues to do so. Although moving to another country isn't going to change my karma, I am in the process of purchasing land in another country. I'm also learning the language as well. I'm preparing myself. I also plant seeds of kindness everyday in my current community and the county that I'm buying land.
Thanks for the video! I’m a 41 year old black man and have been thinking the same thing. Fortunately I too don’t have to worry about cost of living as I do pretty well for myself. But I’m childless and unmarried Sony reasoning would be purely for the experience. I want to stretch myself, grow, and shift my perspective from this ultra competitive lifestyle to one of balance, health, and peace. ✌🏾
Many greater countries out there, Canada, Sweden, Japan etc… all have better life outcome. Better healthcare, better policies for their people, better education and all other aspects and they always rank higher on happiness scale on every poll. Only Americans think the US is the greatest, it really is nowhere near it. What’s great about American tho, is capitalism. If you can make it (big if), you’ll be better off than most.
We have been discussing this as well.. if I leave.. I’m going STRAIGHT to Dominican Republic.. this topic pops up with me and my wife almost every week. Retired veteran.. 6br house in Tampa bay..worth 470k … I could literally retire there tomorrow… it soooooooo tempting Richard! 😂💯
I don’t feel comfortable/safe living in America anymore and apart from that it’s becoming unreasonably expensive to rent/buy a home… and can’t forget to mention they’re constantly assaulting you with bills fees and taxes every step of the day everyone is stressed and on edge
Please do tell. It hasn’t been on my radar because I don’t care for cold weather. I understand the pay and healthcare is wonderful. Not certain about the people. Do share please.
Hello Richard. It gives a lot to think about when US citizens think very critically about their country where they grew up, what all is going wrong in their country. Yes right, The Land of the Free is no longer what it promises. The American dream is becoming a nightmare. For many people there no longer affordable and an end or change not in sight. I wish you good luck and hope you find the right place for you. Greetings from Germany
I visited the Du Sable Museum of Black History many years ago when I was 18 in Chicago. I left in tears,it is very painful to see artifacts and torture devices used. Besides race, the quality of life in America is becoming sad for everyone, it doesn't seem like the government cares about quality of life for its citizens.
Facts! If you can go, then go! I'm glad I'm from the West Indies. I live in the U.S. but it sure feels damn good to return to the Caribbean and be part of a very productive, well educated, majority. Coming to this country to join family was a culture shock. I had no idea what the label minority was about, or what it meant. I could not figure out why black Americans were always demonized by the media. My god, it's a nightmare the way they demonize the aboriginal people of America who are black.
Black people are the most racist ethnicity in America Y’all so obsessed with color of skin it’s crazy. It’s funny how every media with black people is always racist, when black people stop acting like they were victims and grow up they will prosper. Even Latinos were slave you don’t see them crying about slavery but you see them everyday in the fields working for Pennines on the dollar!
I have definitely made up my mind about moving. The economy is one thing that I can adapt to so that part doesn't really bother me. My main reason for leaving is safety and peace of mind. America has gotten to a point where the government pretty much allows criminals to run wild and good honest hard working ppl are not safe or at least can't feel safe so I'm definitely making sure that the country I move to is #1 in that 100%.
So true! I'm a woman of color, and I'm so tired of the constant racism in this country. And it seems to be getting worse at every turn (banning African-American history books, etc.) I've been thinking about leaving as well. In addition, it's becoming almost impossible to make ends meet.
I totally agree. I’m a black woman and single. I want to leave and eventually will leave; This place is racist and it’s hard to afford a comfortable life financially etc… I don’t want to struggle and live in survival mode all my life.
More power to any Black person who can pull this off regardless of resources. Living in a country where you are judged primarily on the color of your skin, regardless of people sayin' otherwise, gets old fast.
I get what you're saying slower pace of life. People aren't in a hurry honking their horns, cussing you out they take two-hour lunch breaks. More about self-care than money
I do know we have the staye of the art health care. As we age it is important. I do not think it is all or nothing. You are ultimately in conyrol.. slow it down smell the roses.
Brother, you’re welcome in El Salvador. We need people who want to join us in changing the world one country at a time. I moved from the US in 2015 when it was dangerous here but I knew I wanted to be in a place where I could make a little bit of difference. People here were thirsty for change and we are living it. Don’t take my word. Come visit and fall in love with the people, the landscapes and the financial freedom which lets you focus on being a better person not on being richer. We’ll leave the light on for you.
If I were to leave America, it would be a place where there is no racism and everyone would treat people with dignity and respect. A place where your home would not be taken from you because you can't pay taxes even though the home is paid for. A place where you can live in peace and not be afraid to walk or jog the streets at night because you're BLACK. A place where there are no wars and there is no Governnor o tell you what to read, what to study, what to teach. Where is this place? Does anyone know?? Sounds like Heaven to me.
In 2020 I was feed up what was going on in the US. Husband and I purchased land in Puerto Viejo Costa Rica..We feel so free when we are there.. applied for residency and are planning to be there full time in June.
Loved this! Being a retired Vet and successful as both civilian and military also have lived a broad in Germany and Korea I can understand totally your feelings on this. I have met plenty of Americans that stay in another country because of exactly you have pointed out on this video. I love what you are sharing Sir ❤. As for me I would move to Germany, Spain, Greece or Canada. Thank you, Go Steelers!!!
Once I went to the slave plantations and started reading slave narratives I realized how dangerous it would be to allow this type of curriculum in schools. Those experiences helped me to see how little progress we have made as people of color and how much progress they have made at pretending slavery (in a different form) does not exist. I believe we are not in a good place here and that if we do not get a better plan we will soon find that we are back where we started. I completely agree with leaving this country because it does not want us here. We are not all the same just because we are black. Some slaves loved master. So everyone will have a different view but I am of the view that if I need to convince you that my life matters and then you go put more funding into the departments that are killing me that is a clear indication that you don’t want me here. Just remember a life sentence is a slave for life. (While you pretend slavery can’t come back) They aren’t in there sitting they are working for Apple and Walmart and DMV. Learn and Grow. 😢
remember back then, most slaves were in Africa.. being held by other Africans.. For black Americans need to let the past go.. the White people of today are not to blame for what some people did back then.. btw, The a Republican freed the slaves, yet most blacks in the US are democrats!
What a large number of blacks don't realize is that some of our ancestors were all ready here before colonizers came. We were enslaved just as the Africans were and mixed with them. It is a hidden and less researched fact. We would be leaving our home land but I understand the reasoning behind such a decision.
I'm a black man living here in America. I've done some traveling in S. America and Asia, but I want to check out Ghani in Africa. It's the place I feel that I need to visit because I think my ancestors departed from there. I just need to do it soon. I'm getting older (75) and need to go while I have strength and good health. I've done some research about the country, and I just want to go there. I'm like you, looking for peace and not the drama that America offers. May you have good fortune in your pursuit of your goals.
You remind me so much of my friend Corey. Unfortunately, he passed away late last year. He was a veteran and living in the Dominican Republic. He was on dialysis due to complications brought on by his service in the Gulf War. I miss him tremendously!
Nice video. Thank you. I'm originally from Detroit. I'm also African-American. When I was about 14 years old I decided that I would eventually leave the US. Not that I didn't like the US. I grew up very close to the Canadian border and spent lots of time in Canada and really loved it there. I felt more calm and 'normal' ,for lack of a better word, whenever I was in Canada. In my mid-twenties I was in the process of deciding whether to move to Ontario or Quebec. I began dating a woman from Ireland during that time. We got married after a couple of years. We lived in the US for about seven years, and considered moving to either Canada or Ireland. Ireland made more practical sense because we already had citizenship. We moved to Ireland in 1997. Still here. Never looked back. I visit home as often as I can, and always enjoy my visits with friends and family, but I'm very happy living abroad. One of the things I love most is the ease of visiting other countries in Europe. Also, we have less than an hour's flight to London, so it's quite easy to visit nearly any other country in the world.
Cant imagine how tough this decision of yours would have been to make. All I can say to you is IF you're going to make that move, the time is NOW Richard. It's not looking good economically & you want to be able to sell in a functional market, not after it's tanked. The crisis are just too much, can only imagine the crisis faced by investors both within and outside the country. Be safe out there guys!
I really wouldn't blame anybody for any decision they make now. Looking around the world and seeing all the different countries struggling to get away from very low inflation rates with economies not nearly as strong as ours, you want to make sure we avoid those circumstances. I fear for our economy, especially the financial markets and it's ongoing crisis.

As a Black man, some place in Africa is the only destination I would consider for relocation. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely not worse than the US. I left the US on a three month trip to Europe in 1996. And now I only go back to visit my family. It was the best decision of my life. America is a country of division. I’m a human first, American second. I always have been. And living outside of America looking has only enforced that feeling.
I have been feeling this way since high school

The only thing I’m worried about is I’m going to be going alone but the god in me is telling me I should leave before we have another shut down cause it’s getting weird and the time is ticking to many wars, ufo sighting according to TH-cam, the food is strait trash making people sick with carcinogen, etc just to much going on
Did you leave or not yet
From my own experience, I suggest you visit each of those countries for a month each in a Town/City where the locals live. Then pick the country you like based on your one month stay.
Ever since 2016 I have been yearning to move. I thought of Costa Rica, Italy & Portugal. America is not the world. There is so much culture and beauty to be found out there. I just wish I could afford to leave. Go to Portugal, Europe is such an amazing continent to discover.
Portugal is top 3 on my list.
You don't have to sell everything, I have property in and outside the U.S. I stay around 3-4 months out the U.S. per yr. I like having my property in the U.S. because I can come back home when I feel like it. Now, I usually can't stay more than 2 months in the U.S. without wanting to leave...
💯
I just came back from Senegal 🇸🇳 I was surprised to see a lot African American r settling down away from racism inequality and rising cost of everything. I’m telling u our brothers and sisters from around the world need to come back home and build a strong and better place for blacks. Thanks
Is it safe in Senegal ?

The fact that you were able to learn as much as you did about slavery in America, in a museum in America, also says a lot about America.
Alot of countries try to hide certain history.

I’d never leave America. Low key USA is the greatest country out of everywhere. If anything I’d go to another state.
As a immigrant myself, I agree 💯
Many greater countries out there, Canada, Sweden, Japan etc… all have better life outcome. Better healthcare, better policies for their people, better education and all other aspects and they always rank higher on happiness scale on every poll. Only Americans think the US is the greatest, it really is nowhere near it. What’s great about American tho, is capitalism. If you can make it (big if), you’ll be better off than most.
I guess it depends on how your life is going . I like my life but I would not mind exploring
how is that low key?? lol
Move to a Democratic state!!
Do it :)
I don’t feel comfortable/safe living in America anymore and apart from that it’s becoming unreasonably expensive to rent/buy a home… and can’t forget to mention they’re constantly assaulting you with bills fees and taxes every step of the day everyone is stressed and on edge
This is why so many people come here to build wealth and spend their latter years somewhere else.
Be quiet please.
You'd better hurry! Don't wait! I've been in Switzerland almost 7 years and it's great.

And in the middle of the madness bus loads of immigrants fight to get here daily.
@@rosariofrancis464They only come and stay for an average of 2 years just to make money and then go back home. Most do not come to stay forever.
Man my people simply don’t care. I tried to tell them, but they rather listen to foolishness
Gaw be ah Bajan....@Bevvy Beebe lol.

How do you leave America?
LOL move to another country and you’ll see how racist they can really be..
I totally agree. I’m a black woman and single. I want to leave and eventually will leave; This place is racist and it’s hard to afford a comfortable life financially etc… I don’t want to struggle and live in survival mode all my life.
Do you know who made the recommendation to remove the book??
More power to any Black person who can pull this off regardless of resources. Living in a country where you are judged primarily on the color of your skin, regardless of people sayin' otherwise, gets old fast.
It sure does and this feels like a hell hole. I can’t wait to leave.

Bahamas because black people run the country, but "Island Time" is a real thing in all aspects of life.
In 2020 I was feed up what was going on in the US. Husband and I purchased land in Puerto Viejo Costa Rica..We feel so free when we are there.. applied for residency and are planning to be there full time in June.

I’ll buy your ticket to go back to Africa since USA is so bad
remember back then, most slaves were in Africa.. being held by other Africans.. For black Americans need to let the past go.. the White people of today are not to blame for what some people did back then.. btw, The a Republican freed the slaves, yet most blacks in the US are democrats!
you said that
What a large number of blacks don't realize is that some of our ancestors were all ready here before colonizers came. We were enslaved just as the Africans were and mixed with them. It is a hidden and less researched fact. We would be leaving our home land but I understand the reasoning behind such a decision.
I completely agree. Things are NOT looking good, especially in light of DeSantis move to hide our history from being taught in schools.
Man it seems like the end is so near. I can almost feel it. I give it by summer time.

Costa Rica is one of my favorites. Love the clean jungles, wildlife, beaches, mountains and streams, schools and parks. No military.
Nice video.
Ireland is brilliant. I went to university there and thinking of going back. I work remotely so perhaps Galway or Cork.
