interesting camera angle experiment. Most of the time we understand the point thanks to the replay with standard angles. At the end I had a bit of headache 😅

Just loved the new angles. Please keep doing it! Thanks 🙏

Sorry, but couldn't watch it. It's one thing to post a whole match in different angles and the other to post some nice rallies in different angles. To watch a whole match this way, for me, it's impossible. To watch single selected rallies - bring it on.

Fantastic way to get closer to the match and what the players are feeling. Love this!

Sorry but can you get Steven Spielberg off the editing duties … side angles do not work.. other than for a replay after the rally is over..

Great way to feel each rally as if you were actually there with them!! Please keep creating such great content!

Valiant effort, but you might consider a steadycam.

You get a much better sense of the physicality from the different cameras and angles. Something about the frame rate is better? The picture quality is excellent... just needs an image stabilizer. Still pretty cool though. Thanks for posting. I love the angle from in the crowd.

Oh, this position of the camera it’s very bad. I can’t watch the better rallye on the game😢

Very difficult to follow a rally without seeing the front wall.

Did not like all the handheld footage at all. Don't get to see what's happening, used far too much and disorientating. Might be okay once in a while.

actually, that bottom back right / left corner angle is also really great.

Don't love these weird shaky angles, can't follow the rally properly - maybe just use them for replays / slow mos?

  • @tonytan5945

Nice attempt but 21:00 onward looks like a toddler holding the camera, nauseous. It’s a nice variety but needs to be in small doses

  • @4mmorrisfamily

The hand held camera made me nauseous… stopped watching after 5 minutes.

I really enjoyed this edit - please do more. I would love to see a "drive to survive" style series on the PSA, but videos like this where we can see the players off the court and on the court from different angles are a great start, especially for getting people who aren't familiar with squash into the sport. As an edit it is great, it would be even better to have some more context in the production as well - introduce the competition, provide some snapshots of their routes to the final, highlight their previous rivalry. To those who are complaining about not seeing the front wall - this isn't a highlights package, if you want that go watch the highlights on squash tv - it is about telling the story of a pretty epic match, and it does that job well.

Squash is such a multi-dimensional and multi-directional sport, so it's great that these varied angles are included, here.

You might have considered a first round match for such experiment or not for a whole match. Whenever we don't see the front wall, we don't understand what's happening.

I suppose SquashTV deserve some credit for trying something different, but... Well, while handheld cameras lend an added sense of immediacy to the proceedings, they could have at least left the OIS on.

Thing is, no matter what angle is being used, it should always include the front wall. Period.
