These artists grew up in London areas influenced by African, Caribbean, and Black American culture. People in that culture were the target audience. Until the record labels saw others enjoy the music, so they changed the formula to suit the masses. Same thing happened with hip hop. Idk why they just don’t trust the culture to sell as it is, always needing to change it
2004 to 2012 was the Grime days, Grime was grimey. AfroSwing was certainly better. There aren't many classic UK rap songs from 2004 to 2012 whereas AfroSwing is still enjoyed today.
some genres come and go with the generation, garage sits with the naughties, that time that culture them kids.. something in me is like na the british born black kids of today can't make garage lol the best i heard that gives me the feel is pink pantheress... even that is mainly samples
@iamnollid Yeah music in 2008 was better can’t ever beat Old School Giggs, Snap Capone, Blade Brown, Fix Dot’M the best music already been and gone years ago
The rappers you talk about have absolutely nothing on UK golden era rappers like K Koke, Klashnekoff, Joe Black, Skinnyman, DVS etc. 2004-2012 was the UK rap golden era.
everyone's on this bouji ting now, it's so easy to be seen as corny in music. and bun tiktok, tiktok killed music and fashion single handedly... your hot song can seem washed in 2weeks because of how rinsed it can be on the time line and nerds like girls that should be rocking skinny jeans and converse full time are catching onto hot fashion trends way too quick, look how fast bloke core spread. nah ban that app i miss the nerds i used to love fashion (said this before i heard you mention tiktok btw) also i just wanna flex real quick lol i only ever had tiktok for about 2 months coz i was linkin this morrocan ting that was a producer and wanted me to hear her shit and i was dying for pooch so i downloaded it

@ I don’t where he’s from. Tbf he may be from the culture like his upbringing and environment.
@WatchTheClipsFilm-Tv with the way he talks and the things he says you really think so ?
@ I don’t really watch him. I just came across this video. I have no idea tbh
@WatchTheClipsFilm-Tv he exposed him self several times
Swarmz had an impeccable run these times. If you had him on a hook the tune was blowing

UK Garage and House in general was seen as a more white in the 2010s, don’t ask me why but that was the consensus in black London music communities.
SL - Gentleman/ Tropical 🤩
THE DRILL WAVE KILLED UK URBAN MUSIC
Man you just brought back memories. Uni was a fun time at the time all these songs were coming out. Good video 👍🏾🔥.
I think you should look into the DJ AG & Mak 10 grime sets, you'll see community & scene
