  • The infrastructure for global-scale, real-time multiplayer games is difficult to develop and maintain. Building matchmaking platforms, dedicated game-server orchestration, and all the coordination therein is a lot of work to do - and can be a distraction from building your actual game.
Thankfully, open-source projects built on top of the Kubernetes platform, such as the matchmaking platform Open Match and game server hosting platform Agones, are available to do much of this work for you and get your multiplayer game up and running at global scale as fast as possible.
In this talk, we’ll be looking at how you can use Open Match and Agones together for a comprehensive matchmaking and game-server hosting solution. We will also look at some of the more advanced features of both projects, such as auto scaling to ensure you can handle all your game-launch needs.
