Can confirm, you can unscrew the battery module from the M3 Pro aswell. I was slightly disappointed in the M3 Pro as although it was praised as the state of the art, I noticed it botches the 3 most important aspects of a strap imo, being weight, proximity from the eyes to the lenses (allowing greater FOV) and movement on head. Coming from the Rift S, the halo strap is also something i've never been fond of. It does other aspects like comfort alright but I really did not want such an experience, atleast the battery stuff is great. Now hearing about this option, with more active gaming in mind, better FOV and a much more snug fit that's dependant on mushing on your face; add the battery module on top of that and it becomes the perfect solution.. I still think the M3 Pro may be of use to me, I may use it in more relaxed situations, or when showing it to people, but whenever I get my hands on this strap, it will be my go-to
I discovered on the M2 Pro that Halo Straps like that tend to give me a headache after a short time but elite-style straps will help with headaches while I play. It's weird but interesting how that works.
Oh I 100% Agree, which is why I will always tell people to at least get a BoboVR Head Strap, since they have a Halo Head Strap and Elite Style Head Strap, there are options that are cheaper, more comfortable and all-around more effective.
This is basically how the GomrVR strap works. The side hinges lets me put the back part wherever I want. I like the strap to be quite high up on the back of my head rather than have it shut off blood supply on the lower softer part of the head. It’s why the psvr2 strap is so uncomfortable, it’s stiff so it naturally lands at the worst part of the head and gives instant crushing headaches. The hinge on gomr lets me choose where to put the pressure back there. THE BIG BOBO is too big for its own good. So much excessive plastic. Prefer the front halo part though rather than relying on face squeezing.
I would say the GomrVR is more of a Halo Style, but it really doesn't look that comfortable either. (Still looks more comfortable than the Elite Strap for the Quest 3 however.)
I'm glad my video helped, hopefully, my next product review will help as well. (Hoping that'll be the B100 Battery, Headstrap Dock, and Fast Charging Station.)
Because it is a more Elite Style head strap it's very good with more active games because it's a bit more secure than the M3 Pro, Some people (Like Myself) Can also get a headache from where the halo strap sits (Mind you this is not a flaw of the product, it's just not suited for everyone.) But with the elite strap even if I have a headache the pressure from the M3 Mini will (and has) reduced that so I can still play.
@@WeaversWonderfulWorld hi I really wish too know are both headset suitable for playing lying down ? Will the rear of the headsets be effected if head is against pillow. Thanks
@@CanadianDudeNorther I'm glad it did, why they release the upgrade Battary, Headstrap Dock, and Fast Charger, I'll be doing a review on all those when they come in as well.
Unfortunately no, since this was more designed to be an active strap, lying down with it won't work too well. I don't know if that will be the case if you install the new battery dock (Something I'll be testing when my review when it releases.)
Brother it looks so slick but that horrendous cable management for the headphones is giving me A N X I E T Y I’d recommend getting a pair of wired headphones for quest 2, with the 90 degree connector and differing lengths, and then a 3.5mm bungee cable extender to extend said headphones. Probably like $30 total. Would look way cleaner. Oorah yut Semper
Unfortunately those don't work, the left side is short which mean with with the Jack on the right side it won't be long enough. I already tried with the pair I have and had to get these to replace that so directly sound was coming through the correct ear, eventually BoboVR will make an A3 Audio Solution and I'll transfer to those when they are released.

its crazy how much better the third party peripherals are getting compared to the insanely overpriced official meta ones.

Oh, I just found the Elite Style, but a lot of the 3rd party straps do that because it's a good way to get the HMD on and off. Lol.
Thanks dude, this hepl me alot

Have you tried the halo strap? What do you think about it?
I liked the halo strap, but I can't use it because the only downside of it for me is it gives me a headache if I spend to much time in it.
How does the m3 mini head strap compare to the M3 pro Halo strap? I got the latter one and I like it!

Can a battery be attached to this for longer life ?
It does last longer, but I'm not sure how much. I'll be testing it sometime next week to figure out how much time it does add.
