I'm so excited to start cosmetology school in 10 days it's not even funny!! I've been trying to please my family and doing what they wanted me to do I'm 24 now with my own son and it's time I start doing what I've loved since I was 12

I am starting the process of attending Aveda as well! I withdrew from college, NC A&T, last Friday. I'm so glad I have found someone on TH-cam who is doing the same thing I plan on doing!

I had a question im intrested in everyrhing in the cosmetology section but mostly makeup will we receive makeup essentials and get taught about makeup. I will be entering at aveda this coming september.

Does their Cosmo course cover makeup and facials? Or should I go for the esthetician program
I start cosmetology school in August 2017 when EXACTLY do you receive the kit & how do you know the correct dresscode. Is it always black scrubs like?
Yess here at aveda our dress code is all black and any dresses need to be below your knees or worn with leggings.. we also got our kit the last day of camp Aveda . They call your first week camp Aveda and on the last day of that week you'll get your kit!
Do they focus more on kinky curly hairs types or straight silky hair types?? Or is there an equal mixture of both?
Nijah 01 I heard that modern schools focus on both! Seeing that all her manican heads have straight hair types makes me a bit disappointed but they could introduce it later! Check out some other videos and you’ll see some schools give all types of combs, brushes, manican heads, etc. and try to give you a well rounded background on all types of hair!

How much and how long is the program?
The program is 1200 hours, about 10 months long and it used to be 17,000 i think its 16k now .
how much did you kit cost ? Mine started at $600.00. Is it worth it?
