Make or not make 😁 I suppose common sense will tell some of us, that there is an artistry involved in the preparation of these delicious and a bit intricate recipes. Thank you chefS, I finally went to cooking school! And learned a lot of useful techniques 🍬
I occasionally make my own feta cheese. It’s much better than store bought, so I use a clean bandana and hang it from a cupboard handle over a bowl to catch the whey. Then I use the whey to make ricotta. The remaining whey is put in ice cube trays. Once frozen I pop them into a freezer bag and use them for smoothies! It’s not practical to empty a whole shelf in my fridge to replace with an oven rack. If your cream cheese has that much liquid, just put in a colander or a strainer over a bowl. The cream cheese sold in stores in the USA requires no draining before using in a recipe like this.
With some of those things you've managed to do them in such a way, just for novelties sake, which is more complicated than just doing it normally. For example slicing a banana with dental floss instead of just cutting it with a knife. What the? And using all that butter when you could just make up a small batch instead of 2 or 3 kilograms for coating that meat. Freezing and then defrosting a whole cabbage? I'd love to see what that looked like afterwards in real life ha ha!
Am I the only one that was confused about the sardine lid knife??? Why not just use a normal knife? It barely made a difference tbh, still chunky veges 💁

Recipes look amazing; however, the blow dryer melting the butter is a bit ridiculous.
It didn't melt it.
THAT was the point.
It merely softened the butter to make blending the herbs easy.
Melting is easy.
Softening requires effort.

Actually the freezing and thawing cabbage works well.
My mother did that instead of blanching it to make it pliable.
It's much easier.
