It was a super sad loss. He wasn’t the regular rapper from the streets who just wanted cash and girls he was a creative with huge aspirations in interviews speaking about his aim to make some more r&b cuts, to get into acting, he was already doing modeling. I imagine he would’ve in some lights been similar to A$AP Rocky, but more active in his music. So young and wasnt planning to waste anytime.

i feel like POP express his feelings way more in this album. i Kinda like, Instead of all that HARD, DARK drill in meet the woo 1 and 2. Not saying they are bad, i just like seeing another side of him. Its human, and we shall respect that.

For me personally, the drill beats from AXL are what established him as a force. He certainly felt more human on this album, I agree with that. But the beat selection for this album was a dime a dozen and sounded molded posthumously. There’s something about the drill beat energy that made him float when he spit.
He goes the hardest on the drill beats tbh, that was his style and he stood out, I wish there were more on this album, it started out really good, but I'm hype anyway.. RIP Pop Smoke
Pop Smoke was working on a romance album before his murder, so that’s probably why most of the songs on this album is songs for the ladies. Probably was the most they had to work with

I took it as an album that showed that he could diversify his sound. In a way, it makes his death even more saddening. All of these features showed the path he was going at and the impact he was making on hip hop, which unfortunately ended too early.

I think another reason 50 feels for Pop is because 50 almost met with death at a young age but Pop wasn’t as fortunate to live through it.
Damn I already love this album! Were a big fan of him before his death (I‘m not capping) and this album slaps in a different way then his previous albums. I actually like his new melodic and emotional style very bad even if I was a big fan of his agressive drill sound. Edit: My favorite tracks on here are... „For The Night“, „The Woo“, „Something Special“ & „Got It On Me“
