- Do you think a used Cadillac SRX a good buy for someone on a budget that wants an everyday family car / SUV yet wants luxury too? This review attempts to answer that question. Since it was getting a little long I decided to break it into 2 parts - features and interior is pt 1, and road test review / driving manners is pt 2.

Love the scripture quote. Amen
Nice review, thank you. I like the honesty of the pluses and minuses and love the verse of the day.
Better looking than the new ones.
If only it didn't burn so much oil...
@@galil_6863seriously I have to refill it every few weeks sometimes it’s crazy
I'm agnostic but still can appreciate a verse of the day
Wow I love that you added in that scripture smh wow I loved that I’m in the processes of buying one and checked your vid out and was so happy to hear that verse bro good job God bless you in Jesus Christ name
I just bought an 04 SRX last year for my birthday for just $2,000. Haven't had any problems with it so far. 😉
Hi there Antonio. How is car so far ? Any known problems on this model ? How is mpg ? I would like to buy one mostly for long trips. Thanks
@@milovanpuric318 So far no major issues. I keep everything up on it. The mpg is better than I thought it was going to be also.
@@TruGentleman78 thanks man. I will try to find one nice example. Cheers
What engine did you get?
I brought an 09 SRX V6 and no problems
I bought the 04 v8 awd turbo package 2 weeks ago and it is awesome. Only issue I have is the power steering is kinda sticky
Cool - did you ever get that power steering working right or is it just always that way?
Cadillac should have kept this body style. It is so sharp and gorgeous. I almost bought an "04, just a couple weeks ago, but I kept reading that the head gasket had issues in '04. But, this is a gorgeous vehicle. Too bad they changed the body style.
I bought an 06 and kept reading people say the timing chains get ruined...
Me: at how many miles...oh 100k plus, mine has 50k 😁😁😁 ill cross that bridge lol
This gen is very ugly the new generation are far much nicer
Best thing they did was change that out dated body style...I got a 2010 and love it This body style was ahead of its time still fits in with newer model cars today heck the new Cadillac XT series body style looks similar
A RWD model SRX with an LS swap sounds like a really cool car. I hope such a swap catches on!
This is a very nice example of an early SRX, thanks for sharing, i wish i saw these more often
Fina end up getting one of these next week
I'm curious how it worked out - you have it yet and like it?
CTS is NOT based on the Caterra. The Caterra is a much smaller car, based on the German Opal. The CTS was a brand new car when it came out.
I thought I said that the name CTS replaced Catera Touring Sedan, just like the name STS replaced Seville Touring Sedan. Catera ended production in 2001, so yes I know they are different platforms.
@@RnWSolutions as there are several years between the Catera and the CTS, It realy isn't a replacement.
You are aware, that STS stands for Seville Touring Sedan, so it never replaced it, they just stopped putting the name Seville on the cars, (as it was officially the Seville STS)
Shane Lieberman here is what I found: “CTS stands for Catera Touring Sedan, as the model came in as Cadillac's successor to the Catera mid-size sedan which was produced from 1997-2001.”
2:21 the v8 sounds nice
Yes I agree people badmouth these Northstars but I've had several from the 90s to the mid 2000s and so far haven't had one that failed on me, and yes they sound great.
Praise God, he read a Bible verse, that is awesome....Thank you.
That one caught me off gaurd. He instantly got a like JUST because of that lol. Not too many people are doing this. Keep it up @RnW Solutions
I said the same thing. So good to hear. Praise Jesus.
Was a nice car in its time but the newer body style is much better i fit the 2010 and love it came from a 2006 Bmw x3 and i prefer the Cadillac!!! The bmw was faster but interior looked outdated compared to the Cadillac and veggie you say it was 3yrs older the 2010 x3 had the same interior
Yes I agree I had a 2011 SRX for a while and liked it - I buy cars I like, drive them for a while and fix anything wrong, then sell them. The thing about the older ones is it can be had with the V8 - which is nice. I'm sure the newer versions with the turbos are fun.
They do have remote start you just do not have the original key fob which is square with a Cadillac symbol on it you get one Cadillac dealership for under 100 bucks
Random question, I have a 2004 SRX and for some reason, regardless if the car is unlocked or locked, the trunk is always able to be opened-any ideas?
I believe the lock mechanism on the hatch is broke. I had to replace one on an Aspen, got it from junkyard. Had same symptom.
@@RnWSolutions awesome thanks! I’ll look into it, I appreciate the help!
Been looking for one of these for sale. Its next to impossible to find one. Do you have any more for sale?
Not at the moment, recent ones I've come across are all trashed.
There’s a whole bunch where I’m located, all in pretty decent condition but decently high mileage as well.
This definitely helps with my 2006 srx if it has problems www.cadillacforums.com/
I actually was able to buy a 2006 srx loaded out with the northstar back in December, ill definitely use that site when a problem presents itself
I definitely have one for sale im located in Washington, DC 2008 SRX4 108000 miles.
How many miles is on the SRX?
Tim Grayson I did have 100,000 When I sold it soon after this video.
How much did you get for it?
I think thst one sold for $4900, I typically work with luxury vehicles Ican sell for under $5,000, thanks for asking!
@@RnWSolutions i see, thanks was just wondering. I got one at 50k miles for 7k recently and feel good about it
@@Doors067 wow only 50k miles? That's awesome, this had over 100k miles when I sold - I put some miles on my cars before selling.
I love that you gave us the word , that is awesome. But the ( NIV ) is garbage !!! I’m not debating anybody , but the ( KJV ) is Gods preserve word and you can count on it.
Bro you are moving the camera too rapidly. Giving me a headache.
You are right! I guess I drank too much coffee before doing this video ;) thanks for the heads up, I'll smooth out the motion on the next one.
Is this model the 2007 any good? I’ve read with people complaining how unreliable they are?..
This was very reliable but only had 95,000 mikes. I have looked at others with 150k mi but they were beat up so I would say they higher miles are probably not very reliable like a Lexus or Acura.
funny, I could have sworn the E320 battery was underneath the back seat
Here is someone elses video showing it in the trunk... th-cam.com/video/vfk6HNVQFN4/w-d-xo.html
@@RnWSolutions My mistake, the w210 (E320 prior to 2002) is located under the back seat. The w211 (e320 from 2002 onward) is located in the trunk.. oopsie!
you could park the car with reference to sun...
Yes in my newer videos I do think about those things, thanks.
That’s not 2009
No mine was a 2004, but same body style until they chanced in 2010.
My hatch back unlocks but doesn't open 2004
Shoulds like the hatch mechanism went out, I believe that is electric. Had that issue on my Aviator and had to take panel off to unlatch then replaced with a used one.
@@RnWSolutions thanks
