Been a chef all my working life. My head chef at the age of 17 came from Middlesbrough, love the accent. He was a footy fan,and I'll never forget him saying "up the Brough and be content, the cup for you was never meant"
@@SoulsOfAG I use a cake or pie server. Little triangular spatula thing. It can still be tricky though. I suppose if it means that much to you, you could get a tart pan with removable sides. Hth
Masterpiece, a proper pie with a bottom and top. Properly cooked no soggy base or top, aye looks better than most pro chef offerings. Full marks, you're through!🥮🍟🍟Couldn't find a pie emoji, so you've got a cake and 2 micky d's fries (only apple pie in the states).
Now what... I got a craving for that pie and no steak or Guinness in the house... no Teeside chef either... bummer. 😀 This looks soooo yummy - brilliant, a masterpiece.
What a triumph when I was little the best part of any meat was the marrow, oxtail offal of any sort was a staple of my mothers kitchen you know what I'm on about, mad cow disease put paid to any meat eating but I have to say watching you prepare thar glorious pie was a sensation for the senses xx
May I suggest trying Guinness "West Indian porter" (Black bottle, yellow label with red writing), I have found this to be even superior to normal Guinness for most dishes where you;d use a splash of guiness/ale (Shepherds/cottage pie, beef casserole etc)
ya joking aint ya, I rarely eat meat these days, however a family favorite from years ago was infact this meal without the crust. Being an ex butcher, you choose the good correct cuts to add flavor too. Looks great and is lovely with dumplings or veg
Looks smashing Chef 👍 Can I ask where you got your saute pan from? I had one from France and I ruined it with a hand held blender, served the family Teflon soup, not my finest moment 🙈 Been looking for a replacement ever since.
It's Thanksgiving Day here in the US. A day for family feasts. I was looking forward to a turkey dinner until I came upon your little video, Chef. You've ruined everything. How do you sleep at night, you sunova...?!
Oh hell yeah, now we're talking!!! The only missing ingredient is an unequivocal statement about what a bunch of flaming assrockets the Tories really are.😁
Yeah the Worcester sauce is ruining the vegan credentials of this pie. Worcester sauce doesn't need a better alternative or replacement, and a vegan product won't be it, either way.
This was incredibly entertaining! I want a bite!!!
Thank God you pronounce Worcestersaus correctly. I live in The Netherlands and knowbody believes me!

I sleep like a log and by that I mean that in the morning there's a cold damp patch under me. Have a great thanksgiving mate
That's a good recipe but I would have roasted those bones first and then added them with the roasted marrow
Shouldn't you be using Newcastle brown.
😂
Baking soda in pastry!!! Never heard of it, am not deeing that bonny lad.
@@geminil2415 🤣 it helps the pastry brown but you can leave it out

If you want a better vegan alternative to Worcester sauce. And a better replacement to Worcester sauce, hendos is the answer
Hendersons relish

@@Meddled you can get in the bin. Hendos for life
Thanks, I detest fish, so Worcestershire sauce is out for me, I'll look up the alternative.
No taste in water
Guinness is definitely not an ale. It is a stout!!
