    I Love the advice she gave to the mom with the 13 year old daughter. That is theeee best advice. *Build your daughter's self-esteem and Self-worth.* Too many females out there with low self-esteem that focus on things they are not ready to deal with. Marriage is not for everyone, having the best self-esteem benefits every one!

    Where were you when I was in my 20’s😫 Growing up I knew I didn’t want to get married because of what I saw in my parents marriage. But between relatives calling me an old maid, friends who stop being friends because I was single and just society in general, I married out of fear. Divorced a year later.

    I love that Elizabeth’s advice is always based in Self love. It’s clear that she’s had tons of experience with figuring out what life, love & everything in between meant to her & it seems she’s came through it all with the best lesson of all. Self love 💕 really truly is the greatest gift of all. The late & talented Whitney Houston told us this looonnnngg ago & most of us forgot the message ‘The Greatest Love of All’ was an amazing song & Im going to listen to it right now☺️💖. Thank you Elizabeth for sharing all of these jewels of wisdom.

    Read all of her books and seen a few of her interviews. She’s very wise, articulate and concise when she speaks. I like her view points but I don’t agree with God having a specific person in mind for who you’re suppose to marry and only that person. I believe people are in your life for as long as both of your paths are aligned and when the relationship runs its course, those individuals just let go and move on. There’s no right or wrong person to be with. Just whoever you align with at that time and it can be anyone.

    i completely agree with the point she made when she spoke that being married doesn't mean you found the one God has for you. I am in the middle of a divorce after 10 years of marriage and I met my person and it is somebody else.
    i wont pressure for marriage: it doesnt necessarily mean love and respect.

    Not me here thinking I did the first date thing with my last ex saying marriage gotta be a thing but after 2 years and 50 red flags later he's turns around and says he never wants to get married 😂 watch out for the narcissists who will just say what they need to to keep you around!

    • @CelesteJem
      @CelesteJem 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Precisely! I agreed with everything she said, besides this! I don’t think it’s a wise idea to tell a man exactly what you want from the very beginning. Most of them will agree with you and mirror what you want knowing all along they aren’t interested. They’ll string you along, sleep with you, and play the part really really well until they’ve had had their full share then off they go! I say keep your mouth shut and observe their actions which will tell you exactly how they feel about you. You can even ask them what type of relationship they’re looking for but revealing to them what you want will only encourage them to be deceptive. Oh, and definitely don’t sleep with them!

    The last piece is exactly where I'm at currently in my life. I can't help but to chuckle when I'm on social and people speak negatively about women who aren't married... especially by a certain age or after a certain amount of kids. Every time I think to myself, what if she doesn't want get married? Folks aren't ready for that conversation. I think it's because it goes against everything they've believed in all this time.

    Early marriage IS a common phenomenon that occurs in the American South. High rates of teen pregnancies also often occur in the South. I don’t think that the caller’s question was so unbelievably unwarranted. Elizabeth’s reaction was a bit…ignorant.

    • @candistrotter5417
      @candistrotter5417 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      That's very true, but I think the surprised reaction came from the fact that it's even a thing. Why is the pressure even there to the point you feel you have to have that convo with a 7th grader. You tell her her worth so she feels she doesn't have to find it in any relationship

    • @ez6888
      @ez6888 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very ignorant. Early teens is the perfect time to have the sex talks, relationship talks, and all that comes with those 2 (pregnancies, marriage, etc.). It’s very irresponsible to wait until the sex starts to talk sex, till she’s pregnant to talk pregnancy, till she’s in a relationships to talk relationships

  • @simplyshannon19
    @simplyshannon19 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Very entertaining but nah. 1. Men do not know instantly if they want to marry a woman. 2. There are a lot of men out here but not a lot of good men. So dropping this man and getting another one is not ideal unless you do just that-get another one. No matter what he has to offer or how much you lower your standards. For me, the type of man that will have the privilege to be with me, is very rare so going from man to man is not an option.

    I've learned that the true Father GOD is the Creator of marriage and the only one who defines it, we either accept His rules and guidelines or we don't. Why even mention GOD when we don't accept His rules, we live by our feelings and emotions that cause all the problems in the first place. Relationships are a choice and we need to make sure we are doing them correctly.

    I love how she uses statements as absolute truth, and didn't explain anything about the topic. "Getting married doesn't make you a husband or wife". Smh. The devil uses the truth to mask a lie. I feel sorry for the women who buy into this show.

    • @CelesteJem
      @CelesteJem 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂 I don’t know about the devil but I was a bit lost on that one. I guess I was perplexed as to why one would marry someone who they didn’t regard as their husband or wife. Apart from maybe getting a green card, what would be the point? Maybe a shot gun wedding?

    • @jamesjones681
      @jamesjones681 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CelesteJem 😂 the "devil" comment was a reference to the Bible. God said that those who don't love Him (God), with exchange the truth (His Word/Honestly) for a lie. Not calling "Elizabeth" a devil 😂. The reason why people tend to get married without actually being in love with who they marry, is called sensualism. People chase a Feeling, or an event to pursue a Feeling. Undermining the repercussions or obligations that come along with that feeling. Especially women love weddings. It's a time where women can feel admiration and jealousy from other women, and in most cases a sense of accomplishment. Some women tend to want the euphoric feeling of the wedding experience without the obligation, and responsibility of being a wife.

    The Bible says that we are all guilty of breaking the Ten Commandments of God (Romans 3:23). As a result, we all deserve to go to Hell because none is righteous, no not one. (Romans 3:10). But the good news is that you do not have to go to Hell (John 3:16). Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died on the Cross for your sins and if you Repent of your sins and Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you will be saved (John 3:16). Jesus is calling on all to repent and you know longer have to live in despair but in love, joy, and peace through Jesus Christ. Amen.

      @@simplyshannon19 All women are not virtuous. The very definition of virtuous for a woman means VIRGIN. Being a virgin vs not being virgin is a colossal difference, night and day. Just because we've gotten used to coming behind multiple men and accepting/settling for the first guy's leftovers does not make it right nor profitable or healthy for our mental disposition. Here in the US this mindset is prevalent because we think that there are no or a lack of virgins (untouched woman) in this Country. But in other Countries a virgin (un-spoiled) truly high value woman will fetch a much higher price/dowry than the lesser value non-virgin (touched/spoiled) woman. If these women can grasp that they are consummating with each man that they allow inside of their body then they might rethink their true value and act accordingly and take full responsibility for their life and mind altering actions. These women Parents tried to warn them no sex before Marriage. But they have rebelled against this warning and this is what we have now. Used bodies, and no one honestly favors used over new. Btw pretty much every woman knows that they are suppose to be untouched, a virgin un-soiled and new before marriage. What man honestly wants to come behind other men and wed that woman? We are settling when we know that this eff's with our minds. There are many virgin women abroad in numerous Countries. Now if someone doesn't mind coming behind other men after they have used and soiled/consummated with these women with their DNA gene pool, then disregard everything said above, if you can.
