This game cover was misleading. I rmb they wrote 1-2 players co-op and even wrote play as Agent J or K. Apparently, the game only allows 1 player to play as J, when K was been kidnapped. -.-llll
I remember getting a GBC back in 1999. Me and my mom went into a toy store and i found an atomic purple one. Had two games to pick between, this and Zelda. Man i wish i had picked Zelda :P I did get Metal Gear Solid for the GBC the following summer which is an incredible game. Kind of opposite ends of the spectrum.
Was it that purple one you could see through and see all the internals? I got that one too, possibly from Toys R Us when we were on holiday to Florida from the UK. I also just recently found out (like the other day) about Metal Gear Solid on the game boy, I didn’t know they had any for that
This Game Boy Color version of Men in Black: The Series is based on the animated television series of the same name, which itself was based on the 1997 movie Men in Black, and the comic book series The Men in Black by Lowell Cunningham, originally published by Marvel/Malibu Comics.
I got this game in 99 at six years old, got to the last level and never knew you just had to jump on that guy at the beginning. Always tried to jump over him.
@@brennen3451 yeah I tried doing that and shooting him aswell. I think I did figure it out eventually, but he was one of the creepier ones I didn’t particularly want to get close to! 😅 I was like 6 or 7 at the time aswell.
Strange game for sure. I remember getting it... probably between 1999-2000 at Best Buy I think? It looks good but plays clunky and the music can get repetitive.
There's apparently an unused Tiertex blue and purple old logo seen on EA Sports and Disney games on the Game Boy with SGB enhancement, but it was discarded in favor of a new blue logo.
18:35 Over the past twenty years there has been a small nagging thought in that back of my brain of "How the hell do you get past that thing?" until I found this. I guess my small underdeveloped brain at the time couldn't figure out that you could kill it by simply jumping on it. Oh well, at least it was the last level and I never will have to think about this game ever again...
Yeah I remembered some of the enemies and soundtrack to this game aswell as some similar games this developer worked on like A Bugs Life and Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones. Even some of the sound assets in this like damage, shooting and checkpoints were used in other games.

Wow! They'd get murdered for this today haha
Can we all just admire how smooth J’s walking animation is?
all i remember is that this game was super hard!
I loved this game as a kid.
This is a game I’ve always wanted to see AVGN’s take on

This genuinely pisses me off a quarter century later lmao

Wow they really tried with the intro!

Minha Infância nesse jogo adoro demais
Oh god, this game is as annoying as I remember.
this looks so boring, where are the cool alien guns at?
It seems that all the Mib games in the 90's were awful! I think this is as much bad as the pc version.
