Literally just searched for a remake of this beat, found this came out just a day ago. Would love to see you try use some of the gear dj premier used e.g. sp1200, mpc 60 and s950. Good job👍
Great videos! One thing though- you often say the producers “then added effects: distortion, bit crushing , filters”. But you know they didn’t add these as effects, right? You know they are artifacts of pitching down on the hardware samplers they were using, mainly the EMU SP1200? And the filter was built into the input. No one added bitcrushing as an effect back then. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, I know this, but to keep it easier to understand for the viewer and to make someone able to follow along, I simplify it. I will say that often still these effects were choices, as at least later in the sp-1200's life, a lot of producers were purposefully utilizing that bitcrushed/distorted sound from the sp1200 as a way to change the dynamics of the sample. Also, filters were often added (during input as you said) with the sp950, allowing the producers to fully control how they filtered it. nonetheless, thanks for the compliment, and yeah, its just to keep it simple.
I found them on a DJ premier drum kit that I have, but you could also bite them off the instrumental since there are parts where the drums are isolated.

Crazy, Premier can really turn anything into a beat cause these are literal sfx
Premiers whole style to me is basically replaying chops until it fits a 4 bar loop, not exactly my favourite style but if it works it works

How do you make that red thing in serato sample at 0:49
you click and drag on the bottom arrow
Yo check it check it out like this, here we go
What kind of processing (if anything) did you do to the vocal samples?
Yeah, just filtered out the low end so it didn't clash with the instrumental, other than that there's nothing else
