The airline industry does not assign destination airports according to the actual location of the airport but the city it serves. For example if you are flying to Trinidad your destination will be Port of Spain. But look how far the airport is from Port of Spain. So even if this airport is in Boscobel the designated destination of the airline will be Oco Rios because that is the destination it serves.
@@Blakcircleguns me too. I remember back in the 90s my mother took me over there back when it was Boscobel Aerodrome and there were a lot of old airplanes over there some covered in bush and weeds
It's a beautiful sight to see the field trip of little students and their Teachers on the sideline watching the activities of the American Airline flights. Will there be a pilot in the group?
When you taking videos out the window turn off the auto focus. The camera is focusing on the spots on the window rather than outside. That's why it got blury.
@@RohanmkShaw true it’s definitely technically St. Mary but for people who don’t know Jamaica well I figured using the airlines official destination listing would cause less confusion. I’m hoping to help raise awareness about “Ocho Rios “ being an option for people wishing to fly to Jamaica 🇯🇲
@@lawrencehenry6249 true, it’s Boscobel St. Mary but the airline has designated it “Ocho Rios” so people can more easily know the city or tourism market they’re booking the flight to and from. It’s less confusion for Non- Jamaicans about the relative proximity to the city they wish to visit. For example Baltimore is in Maryland but airlines and local airports authority have designated Baltimore airport as Baltimore Washington Airport as it relates to Washington DC. It makes making reservations easier. Keep in mind that the city of Baltimore is over an hour drive from Washington DC on a good day.

@@daleshand622 it is still misleading to the lay-man who is not familiar with international airline industry....just saying.😊
@ I hear that
True. Same can be said here in Toronto. It's listed as Toronto but the airport is actually in Mississauga.
Lots of memories I was born and lived in this area as a child even walked on that very runway behind boscobel school

Lovely video of the coastline though.👍
Four major airports, two in the south and two in the north, with Tinson Pen doing small commuter service. 👍🏾
Nice camera, the video is clean.
@@dellendinho I appreciate that. It was a little blurry at times but I’m glad you like it
They are thinking that St.Mary does not qualify to have an airport with this size plane coming in. Mr. Mayor please SIR you need to do something.
Correction Boscobel st.mary not ocho rios
Same suh.
WHERE EXACTLY IN OCHO RIOS DID THIS PLANE LAND?

I looked at the prices for this flight, it’s not worth it. I’m not paying that kind of money money to fly on a 175
