Did you know that regine lost her Voice During her concert 2012. Its on TH-cam "Silver Concert" it was a devastating year for her because of acid reflux and that how she suffered singing high notes.. But after a long year of training her new voice she manage it. More mature, growls but still nailed it ✨👏🏼
Damn. That surely is a big hit for singers. It literally stops her from doing what she loves. I'm so happy to hear that she has taken that under control!
This was way back 2004, for the majority was the final years of Regine's Prime (well even in Her post prime years She's still on top) this was a tribute concert to our National Artist Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. Many great artists and even theater actors and cultural performers perfotmed in this grand musical gathering. After all of them performed, they went of backstage joined the crowd to see the finale performance which is exactly this one you reacted to 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍
Sometime Somewhere is an orignal song sung by an another Philippine music legend, Basil Vadez in 1979 and composed by Ryan Cayabyab, another music legend and recently National Artist in the Philippine music Industry. Most if not those grand music gestures sung by Regine are either composed by Ryan Cayabyab who we fondly call Mr.C or standards song arranged by other great music composers and arrangers. Reg did a couple of local theater productions, Kenkoy loves Rosing and Noli Me Tangere where she played ofcourse the lead role as Maria Clara, a full lenght musical where she sung in mixed opera and pop.
The songs was sung with full emotions because during that time she cannot reveal to the public her relationship with her now husband ogie as she is protecting both of their image to the public
In 1991, Velasquez made her North American concert debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City,[26] a first for an Asian solo artist.[27] British theatrical producer Cameron Mackintosh later invited Velasquez to audition for the West End production of the musical Miss Saigon.[28] She received a letter from the production offering to train her in London, which she declined: partly due to her lack of experience in musical theater, and also because she wished to remain with her family.
