And like many agree they're both equals; they both struggle with being the image of "perfection" but when they're together they can make mistakes and understand each other. They can be human together
while Tali's romance dialog is absolutely priceless, Miranda and Shepard's dialog and chemistry felt the most genuine. They're interactions feel real, and the building of their relationship is the most natural of any character. Even as their relationship progresses, the moments of Miranda's affection feel authentic and true to her character. The farewell was unfortunately underwhelming compared to other character's farewells, however I would argue that Miranda's aftermath (assuming destroy, high ems) and Shepard's survival is the most compelling and emotional conclusion which I would elect to be "cannon". No insult to the other female interests, but all things considered, they all felt like pursued interests and relationships; Miranda and Shepard felt like a natural and true romance.

linegenrou Yeah i mean it makes the story a lot darker and tragic which is always bittersweet. I would be possibly incline to agree it could be a more appropriate ending for miranda as it seems to fit into the game's serious/dark themes and helps emphasize the reality and overwhelming adversity of the reapers. That said, I'm a sap, and I better like the hopeful feeling of an ending where both of them live, yet are separated and their futures are left without a conclusion.

Good video. I always thought Miranda was the most mature romance in the game. She is the one female LI for male Shepard who has her own major accomplishments before meeting Shepard. She is the only one who does not hero worship him in some way. The other female LI's are either inexperienced young women or Shepard's protégé falling in love with their more experienced mentor. They are sweet in their own ways, but they all just kind of fall into Shepard's arms if you are nice to them. Miranda doesn't need or want Shepard unless he pursues her. But if he does, he finds a kindred spirit who knows what it is like when everyone expects you to be perfect, and to have the resolve to tackle the hardest challenges. Miranda and Shepard feel like a union of equals.

I never gave this pairing much of a thought but after watching this I am all for it! It feels so genuine and real. I literally just played through me2 and I think I just might play through it again just so I can romance miranda. Though it really sucks she's not on the Normandy in me3
Shepard and Miranda are simply the best couple possible. really matches, the feel, the sinergy, the personalities, the dialogues, always give me chills when i watch the scenes of them, but the only thing that makes me sad, is that the end of the trilogy didn't allow em to be together, and before the final mission of me3, Shepard says: "i'll find you, Miranda, i promise" 😓😓😭😭
When I first played ME and its others when it released I Romanced Tali. Recently finished it again only for the second time and when I started I decided on Liara. The whole time though I felt like I'd chosen wrong and after watching the videos for Miranda(I started a 3rd play-through but knew I'd never finish) I regretted that. Tali was cute, Liara was...not bad but seemed off. Miranda really does seem the most Genuine and really makes for the perfect story, rebuilt, no trust to so much more. I may have to finish my 3rd just to see it not on youtube.

Maxikingallright93 Some of Zack Hemsey's music are great. I can't give you any answers now. I need to think about it and form ideas. When make videos, need to keep timing in mind, cuz it's very important. And also, to me, it's a little distracting to see a character's mouth not matching up the words. It is very hard to find a still shot of a character but in my opinion it's better to spend some time to search for it and use it instead.

Miranda: Why did it want your life, Why would anyone ? Me: I want ! I want more Shepard. I want all the running and jumping. Great video, Seeing these videos makes me want more of Shepard, it would have been awesome to see Shepard and the team in the glory of Frostbite 3 and some hair physics and it would be delightful to see Miranda with some physics.
I like Miranda's character and I'm a big fan of the actress who does her voice, so of course having her as a romantic interest is a bonus. My only problem with Shepard and Miranda's romance, is thanks to how the ending is written. It feels unfinished, there's no conclusion, therefore no closure and that goes for all romances. If you pick destroy, and get the so called perfect ending, you're left with a cliffhanger ending. Cliffhangers are fine, if you intend to continue a story from that point, but it's a terrible way to end a story. No matter what romance interest you pick, you get the same ending, and it leaves too many unanswered questions. Did Shepard ever make it out of that pile of rubble, does he or she ever find their way back to said love interest, and how does he or she make it back to that love interest? Are the biggest unanswered questions for me. I've had so many different ideas of how the ending could've been better, ideas that include the player's choices. Not just the choices in the third game, but the choices made throughout the entire series. The best one I can come up with is this. First off, use the star brat as an tool for indoctrination. I've always had a theory about the kid in the beginning and Shepard's dreams. Instead of being a figment of Shepard's imagination, put there by the Reapers. What if the kid is actual kid, that Shepard witness get killed during the invasion. We all see the shock, then sadness, followed by the anger on Shepard's face when he or she sees this. The Reapers start using Shepard's fear, and guilt against Shepard. So the star brat would be an indoctrination thing. The way I would have the player's choices matter in the end. Is depending on choices, both big and small, made from the beginning of the story, and if you gathered enough war assets. Will determine how the story finally ends. If you made a fair amount of good choices throughout the games, and if have enough war assets. The ending would play out like this. The seen during the final push will play pretty much the same, except for the a few changes. Unlike the sequence in the game, you can actually get killed if you're hit by one of the lasers coming from Harbinger, while running towards the beam. So you have to watch out for that, if you get hit it's an instant kill. Anyways, once you get to a certain point a cut scene will start. If you gathered enough war assets, then your two squadmates will be able to make it to the beam with you. One of them might get wounded in process, but both of them make it to the beam with you. If you didn't gather enough war assets, depending on how much you have will determine if one of them dies or both of them die during the final push. If one of them happens to be a romantic interest like Kaiden, Liara, Garrus or Ashley, then it'll have a greater impact Shepard. If only dies, then the surviving member will make it to the beam with you, if both of them die then Shepard continues on through the beam alone. Best case scenario, if both squadmates survive the final push and make it onto the Citadel with Shepard. They help you fight through a few remaining Cerberus troops and Reaper troops, which the Illusive Man brought with him since he figured out how to control reaper forces. The Citadel Defense forces that were completely forgotten in the game, help Shepard and you squad during this small fight. I like how Shepard's armor got damaged in the end, it leaves the hero vulnerable. So I would keep, maybe Shepard's armor gets damaged during the final push or during the small fight on the Citadel. Leaving Shepard vulnerable, with two squadmates one of which is wounded. Once you get passed the small fight, you and your squad meet up with Admiral Anderson, and the Illusive Man. The scene plays out pretty much the same, except this time the Reapers try to control Shepard while having full control of the Illusive Man. If both squadmates are with you, they will be fighting off the last of Cerberus and Reaper troops, while this is going on. It'll be going on in the same area, that final boss fight happened in the first game. One the Illusive Man is down, and you have that tear jerking last moment with Anderson. Then the Reaper indoctrination scene begins, kinda like it does in the game. In the game we see that Shepard is wounded and bleeding, which makes the indoctrination process easier because Shepard's weakened state. Now I stated how one or both squadmates can make it to the beam. If both of them make, then your chances are great, if only one makes it and it happens to Shepard's love interest, then your chances good but not great, because they can still die while fighting off the last of the enemy troops, if the circumstances aren't right. If both squadmates make it, they're able to snap Shepard back to reality. If only one survives, but is not a love interest then they'll have a harder time pulling Shepard out of indoctrination. If the love interest is the survivor then they'll be able to it, but only if they survive the fighting the last of the enemy troops. This is where some of player's choices will matter. If Wrex, Grunt and a few Krogan soldiers, Jack and her biotic squad, Jacob Samara and Zaeed are still alive, which is only possible if you play your cards right, and if you have enough war assets. Remember they were all part of the forces fighting to make it to the beam. They will be able to make it to the beam, if you have enough war assets, and you made the right choices. They'll show up and help you and your squad, other past teammates like Miranda, Kasumi as well as any on the Normandy. Because if you have enough war assets, and you played your cards right. Then the fleet will be able to defend the Crucible/Citadel long enough to hold off the Reapers, as well as distract, which weakens their hold on Shepard's mind. Allowing the Normandy to get in close to help, as well as Alliance and allied shuttles to land. Bringing in other past teammates, or love interest as well as friends like the Salarian captain from the first game if he's alive. Your squad will be able to pull Shepard out of indoctrination, with the help of the love interest if they're still alive. Shepard who is wounded, activates the weapon. Your wounded squadmates, help Shepard onto a shuttle. Everybody gets to a shuttle, and onto a ship. The fleets get as far away from Crucible as possible, it fires, the Reapers are destroyed, you get a victory celebration, one last romantic cut scene, a memorial service for fallen heroes, a satisfying conclusion, a moving speech from Shepard or Hackett, then roll credits. No multi-colored explosions.
James Roper I love this , this is amazing . But to be fair I feel like Shepard dying is the big part . I feel the closure part where the love interest should have a last hoorah type of moment but I feel Shepard dying has to have happened . I like the Star Wars type ending you came up with , especially the alternate ending where all your squad mates are there . I feel that would’ve been a big hug to the fans rather then a fuck you to us
What confuses me is that Miranda admits early on in Mass Effect 2 (assuming you talk to her) that she would've implanted a control chip had she been given the opportunity. As she put it, "I didn't head the Lazarus Project, the Illusive Man did. If I were in charge, we would've done things differently. First, I would've planted a control chip in you. The IM took a big risk bringing you back without the chip. I just hope it was worth it." So why is this A) a big deal and B) a secret?!
She regrets that she even had such thoughts in the first place. She's been running away from getting controlled by her father and she wanted to plant a chip to control Shep. She's sorry for being a hypocrite. She should've expressed that before the Suicide Mission.

***** I guess the tough part would be for people who didn't talk to Miranda at all in Mass Effect 2. Then they would be in the dark. So the writers took the lazy route and just had her repeat information. Course, that was a problem throughout Mass Effect 3, where either Shepard asked questions about his past that he easily should've known, or Vega asked those questions to "help" those new to the game.
BoBTheEND Totally agreed. That is also my criticism about ME3 - lazy and unthoughtful writing. The only character writings that I felt alright are Tali and Garrus. Seriously, I can write a 10 page report on how the writing and plots of the characters sucked. Whenever I see illogical plots, bad writings, or bad cinema and editing in a movie or game, I get upset cuz I spent my precious time on them. Regardless, how much I love them, I can't look pass the fact that the writing is bad.

I never gave this pairing much of a thought but after watching this I am all for it! It feels so genuine and real. I literally just played through me2 and I think I just might play through it again just so I can romance miranda. Though it really sucks she's not on the Normandy in me3
Shepard and Miranda are simply the best couple possible. really matches, the feel, the sinergy, the personalities, the dialogues, always give me chills when i watch the scenes of them, but the only thing that makes me sad, is that the end of the trilogy didn't allow em to be together, and before the final mission of me3, Shepard says: "i'll find you, Miranda, i promise" 😓😓😭😭
When I first played ME and its others when it released I Romanced Tali. Recently finished it again only for the second time and when I started I decided on Liara. The whole time though I felt like I'd chosen wrong and after watching the videos for Miranda(I started a 3rd play-through but knew I'd never finish) I regretted that. Tali was cute, Liara was...not bad but seemed off. Miranda really does seem the most Genuine and really makes for the perfect story, rebuilt, no trust to so much more.
I may have to finish my 3rd just to see it not on youtube.

Some of Zack Hemsey's music are great. I can't give you any answers now. I need to think about it and form ideas. When make videos, need to keep timing in mind, cuz it's very important. And also, to me, it's a little distracting to see a character's mouth not matching up the words. It is very hard to find a still shot of a character but in my opinion it's better to spend some time to search for it and use it instead.
I was looking for a video that would show me how to make a watch stand and then I found this and It was so good that I watched it all as big fan of Mass Effect. Not big fan of Miranda but you have to admit it, this was good.

I like Miranda's character and I'm a big fan of the actress who does her voice, so of course having her as a romantic interest is a bonus. My only problem with Shepard and Miranda's romance, is thanks to how the ending is written. It feels unfinished, there's no conclusion, therefore no closure and that goes for all romances. If you pick destroy, and get the so called perfect ending, you're left with a cliffhanger ending. Cliffhangers are fine, if you intend to continue a story from that point, but it's a terrible way to end a story. No matter what romance interest you pick, you get the same ending, and it leaves too many unanswered questions. Did Shepard ever make it out of that pile of rubble, does he or she ever find their way back to said love interest, and how does he or she make it back to that love interest? Are the biggest unanswered questions for me.
I've had so many different ideas of how the ending could've been better, ideas that include the player's choices. Not just the choices in the third game, but the choices made throughout the entire series. The best one I can come up with is this. First off, use the star brat as an tool for indoctrination. I've always had a theory about the kid in the beginning and Shepard's dreams. Instead of being a figment of Shepard's imagination, put there by the Reapers. What if the kid is actual kid, that Shepard witness get killed during the invasion. We all see the shock, then sadness, followed by the anger on Shepard's face when he or she sees this. The Reapers start using Shepard's fear, and guilt against Shepard. So the star brat would be an indoctrination thing. The way I would have the player's choices matter in the end. Is depending on choices, both big and small, made from the beginning of the story, and if you gathered enough war assets. Will determine how the story finally ends. If you made a fair amount of good choices throughout the games, and if have enough war assets. The ending would play out like this. The seen during the final push will play pretty much the same, except for the a few changes. Unlike the sequence in the game, you can actually get killed if you're hit by one of the lasers coming from Harbinger, while running towards the beam. So you have to watch out for that, if you get hit it's an instant kill. Anyways, once you get to a certain point a cut scene will start. If you gathered enough war assets, then your two squadmates will be able to make it to the beam with you. One of them might get wounded in process, but both of them make it to the beam with you. If you didn't gather enough war assets, depending on how much you have will determine if one of them dies or both of them die during the final push. If one of them happens to be a romantic interest like Kaiden, Liara, Garrus or Ashley, then it'll have a greater impact Shepard. If only dies, then the surviving member will make it to the beam with you, if both of them die then Shepard continues on through the beam alone.
Best case scenario, if both squadmates survive the final push and make it onto the Citadel with Shepard. They help you fight through a few remaining Cerberus troops and Reaper troops, which the Illusive Man brought with him since he figured out how to control reaper forces. The Citadel Defense forces that were completely forgotten in the game, help Shepard and you squad during this small fight. I like how Shepard's armor got damaged in the end, it leaves the hero vulnerable. So I would keep, maybe Shepard's armor gets damaged during the final push or during the small fight on the Citadel. Leaving Shepard vulnerable, with two squadmates one of which is wounded.
Once you get passed the small fight, you and your squad meet up with Admiral Anderson, and the Illusive Man. The scene plays out pretty much the same, except this time the Reapers try to control Shepard while having full control of the Illusive Man. If both squadmates are with you, they will be fighting off the last of Cerberus and Reaper troops, while this is going on. It'll be going on in the same area, that final boss fight happened in the first game.
One the Illusive Man is down, and you have that tear jerking last moment with Anderson. Then the Reaper indoctrination scene begins, kinda like it does in the game. In the game we see that Shepard is wounded and bleeding, which makes the indoctrination process easier because Shepard's weakened state.
Now I stated how one or both squadmates can make it to the beam. If both of them make, then your chances are great, if only one makes it and it happens to Shepard's love interest, then your chances good but not great, because they can still die while fighting off the last of the enemy troops, if the circumstances aren't right. If both squadmates make it, they're able to snap Shepard back to reality. If only one survives, but is not a love interest then they'll have a harder time pulling Shepard out of indoctrination. If the love interest is the survivor then they'll be able to it, but only if they survive the fighting the last of the enemy troops. This is where some of player's choices will matter. If Wrex, Grunt and a few Krogan soldiers, Jack and her biotic squad, Jacob Samara and Zaeed are still alive, which is only possible if you play your cards right, and if you have enough war assets. Remember they were all part of the forces fighting to make it to the beam. They will be able to make it to the beam, if you have enough war assets, and you made the right choices. They'll show up and help you and your squad, other past teammates like Miranda, Kasumi as well as any on the Normandy. Because if you have enough war assets, and you played your cards right. Then the fleet will be able to defend the Crucible/Citadel long enough to hold off the Reapers, as well as distract, which weakens their hold on Shepard's mind. Allowing the Normandy to get in close to help, as well as Alliance and allied shuttles to land. Bringing in other past teammates, or love interest as well as friends like the Salarian captain from the first game if he's alive.
Your squad will be able to pull Shepard out of indoctrination, with the help of the love interest if they're still alive. Shepard who is wounded, activates the weapon. Your wounded squadmates, help Shepard onto a shuttle. Everybody gets to a shuttle, and onto a ship. The fleets get as far away from Crucible as possible, it fires, the Reapers are destroyed, you get a victory celebration, one last romantic cut scene, a memorial service for fallen heroes, a satisfying conclusion, a moving speech from Shepard or Hackett, then roll credits.
No multi-colored explosions.
James Roper I love this , this is amazing . But to be fair I feel like Shepard dying is the big part . I feel the closure part where the love interest should have a last hoorah type of moment but I feel Shepard dying has to have happened . I like the Star Wars type ending you came up with , especially the alternate ending where all your squad mates are there . I feel that would’ve been a big hug to the fans rather then a fuck you to us

What confuses me is that Miranda admits early on in Mass Effect 2 (assuming you talk to her) that she would've implanted a control chip had she been given the opportunity. As she put it, "I didn't head the Lazarus Project, the Illusive Man did. If I were in charge, we would've done things differently. First, I would've planted a control chip in you. The IM took a big risk bringing you back without the chip. I just hope it was worth it." So why is this A) a big deal and B) a secret?!
She regrets that she even had such thoughts in the first place. She's been running away from getting controlled by her father and she wanted to plant a chip to control Shep. She's sorry for being a hypocrite. She should've expressed that before the Suicide Mission.

Yeah, now I understand your confusion. She didn't have to remind Shep from zero She should've started by saying something like "Hey, Shep. Remember the control chip I told you about etc. etc. ....." for the players who imported a ME 2 save file.
***** I guess the tough part would be for people who didn't talk to Miranda at all in Mass Effect 2. Then they would be in the dark. So the writers took the lazy route and just had her repeat information. Course, that was a problem throughout Mass Effect 3, where either Shepard asked questions about his past that he easily should've known, or Vega asked those questions to "help" those new to the game.

Totally agreed. That is also my criticism about ME3 - lazy and unthoughtful writing. The only character writings that I felt alright are Tali and Garrus. Seriously, I can write a 10 page report on how the writing and plots of the characters sucked. Whenever I see illogical plots, bad writings, or bad cinema and editing in a movie or game, I get upset cuz I spent my precious time on them. Regardless, how much I love them, I can't look pass the fact that the writing is bad.
