I'm right with you on that one, Earl! I was an early Blasters Fan, then a Solo Dave Fan, but somehow I missed this one and only heard it about a year ago. One for the ages.
I have this DVD and remember being so effin' pissed off that I didn't know about this show... i'd have flown out from San Jose, CA in a heartbeat. I'd been up and down the western coast catching Knitters gigs, often time luggin' this man's equipment to/from the van.

Fricking Dave and his buddies. On top of all the great songs, sweet live performances there is that added factor of....seems to be such a great guy. One of those guys who I know would have been my buddy if I had grown up with him or was a neighbor, something like that.

I'm a pretty good guitar player but I couldn't figure out the strumming for this. I showed it to my a buddy who is a better player than me, and he couldn't get the strumming either. The right hand is easy but that left hand...dammm!

I met Dave in 1988. He was playing with Syd Straw. I was so captivated with her voice I said something like, hi Dave! Then told Syd you were amazing.
