Only 9:35 minutes into the film, and I am pissed. The Doctor does not look or behave like a doctor, the police officer just looks like what he is-"The Hero", not a police officer at all. The acting is poor. The direction is faulty (police officer smoking at the crime scene and throwing his cigarette stub right there ..etc.). And look at the raving comments below. Disheartening to learn about the taste of my compatriot viewers.

WAZIR advertetently or otherwise follows the Hitchockian pattern where the crime or criminal may be deciphered but the thrill of suspense is treated at a languid pace that makes Alfred Hitchcock the Master of Suspense. WAZIR is written in a similar manner but Director Taposhi Roy has done an excellent job in handling a serious and difficult storyline. She has been aided by smart and brilliant editing. The camera work and sets add authenticity to the celluloid narrative. The costumes and light designs gel with the situation that add to the attraction of this venture.
The performing artistes have put in good and impressive efforts. The leading lady, the Investigating officer, the deaf and dumb servant and Nabanita Chakraborty stand out among them with their sensitive expressions and dialogue delivery. Profesor/painter too did a good job but seemed just a wee bit stiff at certain places. However, the delivery of the 'Shaiyari' lacked the emotion of the composition and this aspect was the only jarring note in an otherwise sleek and top quality production.

That was a fabulous watch. Equipped with a Suspense Story, Gripping Script, Excellent Direction and well justified performance by all the cast, Wazir is something that reminds one of Alfred Hitchcock's Suspense Crime Thrillers. Wat a suspense. Really enjoyed watching the movie. Glad the inspector sets him free. The heroine really deserves a good life. Glad, she gets love at the end. The deaf, dumb servant also played his role well. Simply loves his employer.liked the servant's role also. All want love & money in life

I’m reminded of a Pakistani drama ( Sawera Nadeem) she murders her husband using the frozen huge piece of meat, she cooks the same and feeds the investigation team. The drama was based on some English suspense. Forgetting the name.
Making of the story is really interesting....... camera quality superb ......and above all,as my opinion, script is really different from other projects

Seen some English movie where desolving salt knife was used as a murder weapon. COPY CAT.
Over a million writers think and write up stories everyday and hence there is a good chance that some of those will have some similarities coincidentally.
