We stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki from 3/20-3/27 and the hotel and area was packed! On the flight back home we were already looking to see when we can return! Looks like the spring break craziness is over.
16:23 Ice Monster is one of my family’s favorite spots for a cold sweet treat. They serve Taiwanese Pillow Ice (a distant cousin of Hawaiian Shave Ice). A tour of Waikiki shave ice outlets would be a fun video. From the excellent Island Vintage Shave Ice to the decidedly mediocre Wiki Wiki Market at the Hilton Hawaiian Village there are a lot of options (including the off the wall Ice Monster).
My pleasure 😊 There's so much that I've filmed over the past couple years. Now, I'm in the process of optimizing my website (yestohawaii.com) and creating email guides so the content is easy to actually find. I've got one of just 'walking tours' all consolidated. I'm thinking of different ways to name it - "7 days of Hawaii" or "30 Days of Hawaii" or something like that with an email a day on a certain topic.
I always stay in places on Kuhio whenever I visit. Easy to get to and leave from with a car, and easy access to public transportation when traveling without a car. And your laugh 😂 It’s great.
Love your videos. Would love to see, and really appreciate a video on Hotels that offer Rooms which are, or cater to guests who have mobility or balance issues. (They use a wheeled walker, can't stand in a shower/require a seat or board to sit on to shower.) Not necessarily fully wheelchair bound, but can't use a shower or bathtub without some sort of seat. Whether it's a regular hotel that provides a temporary "seat" that fits in the tub/shower; or hotels that offer special designated handicap rooms. Preferably in the central Waikiki area. 😀 Thank You
We took a taxi from our hotel to Diamond Head, their name is Lux Cab of Hawaii. Great transportation. We totally recommend them they are on Waikiki and also do Private Tours.
While I completely support small business & local 💛, this comment is a bit disingenuous because you're the founder of Lux Cab of Hawaii so you're really promoting your own company as though you are a visitor that took Lux Cab of Hawaii. I found this because I looked up your company to see a point of contact if I could get more info & include it on my channel as a resource.
Are you the same host who did live streams of the beach on Periscope? Wandering Kuhio reminded me of my youth on trips over. Surf in morning and gorging at Perry’s Smorgy's afterwards . No wonder they closed, we ate them out of business 😂😂😂
Yep, I've tried! The problem is the wind (as you can tell in my thumbnail). I've got a wind muff on the mic so it isn't staticky but when it isn't close the outside sounds (bus driving by, traffic, other bystanders) muffle out the narration. Filming outside on-the-move is so tricky

My wife and I love Waikiki. This past May we stayed the length of the rainy days because right when we left the sun came out 😂
Great mix of city & nature on Oahu! 🌺
Thanks Miriam for another wonderful walking tour. I'm really enjoying them all 😊

I miss Perry's Smorgy!
Nope! I'm not sure what Periscope is
what time do they shut down the streets for the night markets? Thanks!
For the block festivals, typically they are 4-10pm so road closures start around 2pm and go until around 11/12.
Thank you! @@YestoHawaii
Going in a couple days. Any festivities/ festivals around this time of April. Also why doesn't anyone ever talk about the Zoo near by?

Have you tried just clipping the microphone to your shoulder strap? It almost seems too loud.

Is this live?
Nevermind
Will be doing some lives this month though! Stay tuned!
(つ . •́ _ʖ •̀ .)つCan't you always keep the presenter in the frame?
It’s a walking tour. You’re supposed to be looking at the scenery not the narrator.
