What you do is very therapeutic for me so thank you very much! Japan is my favorite country in the whole wide world, I've never been there though. I'd love to walk the streets of japan. I'm not japanese but i dream of retiring there with my husband someday.
Nice suburban Tokyo walk there in the afternoon mate! I know a TH-camr by the name of Mad Panic Gaming who lives there in Ogikubo, Japan who does Japanese gaming pickups over the years. Hope you check out his channel out & I enjoyed the walk! 👍
It’s called a manji. It’s a Buddhist symbol that predates Nazis by thousands of years. Adolf Hitler stole that symbol, inverted it, put it on an angle, and used it to represent his hate, rather than the good luck, and Buddha’s footsteps, and other good things it has symbolized for centuries. You can look up “Buddhist Manji” and find out lots more info online. Here is a good article I found though, on Asian cultures (it’s also used in Hinduism and some Native American religions as well) trying to save this historic and important symbol, and take it back from the clutches of hate which stole it. It’s good to learn about, because when people who don’t know anything of eastern religions see it, they automatically think “Nazi”, but that is not what the manji is. Hitler stole snd bastardized a symbol that represented good, and it’s really important that people learn about that, so that they can view the manji (and whatever it’s called in other languages and religions - each country and religion has its own name for it) the way that it is by these cultures and religions that are much older than the evil person who stole it from them.
